I recently went back, and played the GameCube version on my Wii which has an HDMI adapter for 480p 16:9 output, and it still looks nice to me, and unlike my copy of NFS Carbon Wii I don't have to use a Wii mote, and Nunchuck to play it lol!
+Aurimas Bruzas Yes but consider this: Burnout Paradise ramp jumps were dependent on how well you took the ramp, MW12 on the other hand no matter how bad you enter the ramp the car will jump perfectly and it only relies on the speed you enter to it. that's not an advancement if you don't count graphics.
+jangelelcangry In this fast-growing technology period we want perfection so you always looking for disadvantages in latest games. After that you are choosing old games because its your nostalgia, you lived in that period, its historically important as the beginning of 3d games era, but not more. There is no doubt that latest games with advanced physics and graphic makes compensation for other weak disadvantages.
When it comes to the blue GPS arrow it wasn't always showing the fastest route. Once you've gotten to know the city very well it was much faster to drive by yourself, without the arrow.
Socky Noob i remember reviews back then criticizing underground 2 more harshly than the first one, they found the open city to be gimicky and to have less interesting races than the first underground and also slightly worser graphics because its open world
What I hated about the GC version was that downgrade needed due to the limitation of disk space in those Mini DVDs that the GC used, was graphically inferior and some of the music was edited to fit in the final version. What I loved about was the control scheme, it was more easily to drive than the PS2 version.
Esses Discos que a Nintendo usou realmente limitou o console em alguns jogos. A Nintendo repetiu o erro das fitas do Nintendo 64, onde o console não mostrou todo seu poder por limitação das fitas.
This game is my childhood, I remember buying in the store with my father like the end of 2004 (I was 9 years old) I were stuck a lot of tome because I went to the car lot but i didn't know you had to press enter to enter in (lol) y discovered that like 2 years laters. Btw I downloaded the game again, it's still awesome, even better than others nfs series of today. Great video
You forgot that PS2 (and maybe GC, not sure about Xbox) is a bit darker than the PC version (same with the original NFSU), especially in the airport, which I prefer, because PC always was a bit too bright for me (I know it's in a city with many bright lights, but seriously, I shouldn't be able to perfectly see absolutely everything at night time).
Awesome video! I love how you edit these so smoothly and your voice is top on! Btw what is your intro song? Hearing it everywhere but dont knowing the name really sucks. Haha.
I used to play the GameCube one until I got the pc one. I was blown away by how much better it looked and I played the game nonstop until I got to the end. Then my pc broke right as I got to the last area of the game
"Do you think you can guess the correct console based off these screenshots?" No, I didn't think that, but I took a guess and somehow nailed it. I've never even seen the handheld versions before, but I guess the graphics are varied enough to be able to tell.
PS2 loaaaads .. forever ! I remember several playthroughs only getting stuck on 99% ={ But one of them I hit the 100% mark but game didn't congratulate me shit Get it for PC the reloaded torrent and fire up Gameranger and play over global LAN =} EDIT: Dawh yeh how I smoked the game , all 240SX =} Riding on the stock hubcaps and kept the fliplights with one of the upgrades still 10 star whip
I still have this game on my laptop. It's a newer laptop, but definitely not for gaming. I could still run this game close to max settings which was pretty cool.
back then, i had a pentium 4 HT, Radeon 9800 XT, 2GB DDR1 ram, and two maxtor 80GB hard drives xD ahhhh the good ole 2000 - 2004 days playing this at 1280x1024 with 4x anialiasing and 4x anisotrophic.. before that, i had a Pentium 3 933mhz Slot 1, Dual voodoo 2 video cards 1.5gb SDRAM. both computers played games so damn smooth though.
I haven't played it myself, but just looking at what's shown in the video, I kind of prefer the low graphics setting on the Windows version. The higher setting has a little too much neon for my taste. It kind of looks like you're racing through a Tron landscape.
3:14 Nintendo DS's version of NFS Underground 2 also uses the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection in order to play Underground 2 with friends online. However, it got shut down in 2014 thus the online services ceased to exist just like other games like Pokémon and Mario Kart DS.
This is a very interesting video I had no idea there were this many ports of Need For Speed Underground 2 I used to have this game and I think I will get it again.
The XBOX version's widescreen mode is not properly implemented. It's FOV doesn't change when in widescreen mode, so all the 3D Rendering looks zoomed in. This quirk can be replicated by changing the FOV setting in the thirteenag widescreen fix config file. The gamecube version's widescreen mode is also not 100% Correct. For a 16:9 aspect ratio, the 3D rendering is a bit wider than it should be while the HUD is correct, so no matter how the image is stretched in either 4:3 or 16:9 mode, the HUD and 3D rendering are never going to match the PS2 or PC version in widescreen mode or Xbox in 4:3 mode. The PS2 version and thirteenag widescreen fix are the only two versions of the game that implement widescreen correctly. PC version is superior in basically every way. PC version is recommended.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers Underground 1, but I've only played the demo for 2 on a low performance PC a long time ago so maybe I should try again sometime. Great video as always :)
If you can find a cheap copy in good condition and have a wheel, then I strongly urge you to give it a try. I sunk a lot more hours into UG2 than I ever did in MC3, and I sunk a shitton of time into MC3
Tes, the game with the mods that make the game look like real life but struggle on beaffy machines designed to render 3D movies and beyond. I guess you should have multiple PC versions showcase for it, just to showcase different layers of mods, there are a tone.
my history of nfs came first was nfsu2 i knew how great it was... it changed my taste in racing games... then most wanted 2005 then carbon... undercover prostreet and rivals... nfs made a name in the racing history
I stil playing this game on my modern PC and putting graphics overhaul mods on it. Play this game greater using my Xbox One S Controller. I read at the comments as some people struggle to set up this game with XInput controller. You can use XInput plus and remap the key to avoid conflict between left and right trigger. Your welcome!
RookerVision - Gaming Videos it was remastered for the ps3 and 360. looks drastically different. everything is more colorful and better textures along with smoother frame rate.
Great vid, and surprising results. I mean obviously the Xbox was gonna be the best of the console versions. It was a lot more powerful. But I expected the GC version to look a bit better than the PS2 version, not worse.
GC is blurry because of tiny storage on the mini dvds it's just 1,5gb. PC and PS2 game is around 3-4gb. They had to scale down all textures, while GC is more powerful than PS2. PS2 has better textures because it isnt so restricted, GC has better hardware but for no reason is limited to mini dvd's....
Tip: Don't get any of the handheld NFS games ( except Carbon: Own the City ). Unlike the PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, and Gamecube versions where you can free roam, the handhelds restrict the game to ONLY racing, and no free roaming.
Back in the day i know that buying a PC game is always risky. Why? Because some games wont intstall or you need Direct X and other stuff or your PC wont load the game or other bugs like freeze screens. Console was easy just put the disk in and ready to go.
Why do people think the GameCube version is the worst all because of graphics? I own that version of this game and I love it. I don't want to be heart broken all because of the graphics being ranked poor. It really depends on gameplay to me.
I got 6/8. That nds and android one were a lil tough to tell. Well it was for me. Anyways awesome video dude. Also I recommend you check out turok evolution for a side by side.

Nope
I hope this game realised in mobile phones in 2021 because a mobile phone better than 2004
It's funny how a 2004 game can still be graphically impressive until today, at least for me. Nice comparision!
It still looks good to me too
Please - Ninja Gaiden 2 | Graphics Comparison | (XBOX 360, PS3, PS Vita)

None of these look playable except the pc version
NFS Underground 2 along with Most Wanted (2005) are one of my most favorite racing games ever, let alone compared to the other NFS games.
Don't forget Carbon too!

Takeshi carbon my favorite
Hot pursuit 2 ?

This game represents the Peak of good EA games before the DLC BS and cutout content began.
Good o'l times. 199?-2005-6 = best gaming days ever IMO.
Nope, its subjective opinion, its just your own personal nostalgia, games today are very advanced
jangelelcangry You do know that there are a lot of cut contents in BlackBox's NFS because of EA want to rush it out.

the mobile version got the highest score lol
Its Fast and Furious Fugitive with moded textures.
KuruHS: FAK Yea
NFSU2's graphics were really impressive for their time. Even today, the game still looks pretty nice.
The first one still looks quite good today as well
When it comes to the blue GPS arrow it wasn't always showing the fastest route. Once you've gotten to know the city very well it was much faster to drive by yourself, without the arrow.
The most memorable part of the game is the song riders on the storm
You're the only person I've heard say they prefer the first Underground
lol. It's also possible because I played Underground 1 a ton, and only played this one for 1 hour on each console.
RookerVision - Gaming Videos as a midnight club fanboy it took me alllllong time to like UG2

I love how the lights look on the ps2
PC, obvious better version by far, framerate, resolution, graphics.
Yup. agreed

I recently played this on my PC @ 4K - it's actually pretty amazing. Glad it's still compatible with Windows today.

This should be in PS3 and Xbox 360, childhood in one game
Seeing Rachel move after all these years... I'm actually proud of myself. Never googled her once.
I have underground, underground 2, carbon, most wanted, and undercover all on PS2 and I love the controls on all of them

The one thing I wish they gave you in this game is Caleb's GTO ar the end because that GTO is underrated and beautiful as hell.

Guessed all except for mobile correctly. Didn't knew which version the mobile one was before the result came up

Imagine this game remastered, if this game doesn't get remastered I got you guys in the future .
Dude, your videos are amazing, good job! and here is the like!
They had it for Psp 😳
I Actually Liked The PSP Version. It Has The Soundtrack From Underground 2, But Has Engine Sounds From The First Underground.
is there gonna be a Side by Side of GTA San Andreas?
Eventually
If you make a side by side dont forget the PS3 remake
There's no ps3 remake. It's just the PS2 digital copy. It's titled as the PS2 Classic.. Nothing new added to it.
I think he ment the enhanced re release for the Xbox 360 and PS3
RookerVision - Gaming Videos it was remastered for the ps3 and 360. looks drastically different. everything is more colorful and better textures along with smoother frame rate.
