I own and love my nitron finish P320, but people need to stop making excuses for that finish. It’s not as durable as what other manufacturers use. My six month owned P320 looks worse then much older pistols from Glock, Ruger, and even Taurus that I own. Sig is clearly cutting costs on the finish but you get a better pistol in some other areas so I accept the trade off.
I find it interesting that there are two different recoil springs for the compact/carry model. I have two and one is oval where it meets the lug on the barrel and one that is circular. Both work great
I like the looks. I have very long fingers and compacts are tricky to fit my hands. Glocks have never been a good fit for me, fortunately there are many others to choose from. Thanks for the overview.
I own three Sig Sauer models: the P320 X Five, the P320 M17, and the X Compact. All three are very accurate and dependable with great ergonomics and smooth trigger pulls. No issues, no complains. Glock fanboys talk too much crap about Sig based on idolatry.
You bring up a point I agree with. Although I don’t think needs to be part of a gun review. For the life of me I don’t understand why they can’t send out 50 or 100 firearms to different types of shooters and let them shoot a couple thousand rounds through it and give their opinion back before they release to the market. Colt did the same thing with the python release. I don’t know what it costs to do that versus their in-house testing, but what it does to a company’s reputation is - guys like you won’t spend their money there. I get it.
@@drdrake63 agreed, interesting you brought up the python I was wanting one of the new ones but after research saw they sorta pulled a sig also 😢 I was super disappointed, I know they have fixed the issues but still you would think since these companies preach gun safety so much they wouldn’t put an unsafe product (the old P320 for instance) in your hands without it being throughly tested. Except of course ones that they submit for military contract testing……apparently when millions of dollars is involved they get it right? Sad.
@@UnknownUser-fe5zuActually, wrong. DOD did not do the full testing on the Sigs before signing the multi-million dollar contract. Sig came in with the low ball price, and I suspect slid someone a few bucks on the side. As a result, our military people have been having all kinds of problems with those sh*t guns. A new shooter should decide what they are looking for in a gun. Is it for self defense, just to shoot at the range, or for competition. The purpose for needing or wanting a firearm is more important than the price tag.
It honestly depends on whether you foresee yourself buying another gun to “upgrade” in the future. I went with a 320 solely based on the fact that it’s modular and could foresee myself wanting a better gun down the line if I had gone with a cheaper gun. Buy once cry once:
As someone who has carried a Glock 19 of one generation or the next since 1989, I didn't have the same experience when trying out an M18. I think I'll continue to stick with the best and ignore the rest.
@@drdrake63 Me either. Although, at least they didn't suffer the same drop-safe issues as the 320 compacts. Aside from that, the color, and the manual safety, it's pretty much the same gun. Feel like sigs quality no longer lives up to the quality from 10 years ago, paying for the name more than the gun now.
This tool is great what r u talking about?
He's probably talking about all the discharge issues and legal problems the gun and company are having.

I like my Glock but I also like really good pistols like the Sig P320.
Love my p320c!
Why?
I've had mine for almost a year. It's a great gun
I got the Wilson combat carry 2 grip module. Outstanding
Personal I would prefer the sig sauer the Glock has terrible sights (plastic) and the grips on the Glock are too smooth
Not a fan of sig and their willingness to let the end user be a “beta tester” of their products. I’ll keep buying Springfield.

So did the canik.
