I went to an actor studios to learn how to act. They promised us a safe space to create. Well someone stole my idea. How do I, submit something but at the same time protect it? I even had a copyright on it.

I think it worked something like this: you print out a hard copy, seal it in a waterproof envelope, write a working title or your own filing code # on it, put sufficient postage on it, have the mail clerk postmark/time-stamp it in front of you. Retrieve it, write DO NOT OPEN in sharpie on it, then give it to your agent or lawyer to keep in their vault until you're fixin' to sue someone's ass.

Leonardo isn't a better actor than either Phoenix or Bale. He is very good looking, though and looked a lot better when he was younger. Dude looked more like a popstar than an actor. The appearance of your lead actor is an extremely important factor when promoting a movie. You want someone the audience will like immediately and someone they will not get tired of looking at. You also need someone on the poster to attract the teenage audience. Leo fit the bill.
For someone who has literally been bred to act in movies. They are very like minded souls. They clearly have the up most respect for each other in their craft on and off the screen

There’s something people overlook about Leonardo Dicaprio, and that’s his ability to get so deep into the character but not lose himself to an existential crisis, vis-a-vis “who am I?” He essentially sheds the mindset he adopted to best play the character, like a snake shedding a skin. That’s genuinely not an easy thing to do when you get so immersed in the roles.
Joaquin is like the Mozart of acting…. He truly channels characters from outside himself. A whole different level from Leonardo. But very magnanimous and humble in his respect for someone w a different gift- playing himself very well.
I’ve always felt the same about Leo. Doesn’t take away from his brilliant films, but you do wonder if he’s really that good or if he just always gets the best roles.

Now if we're strictly talking about the ability to transform into a different person and become that person, Joaquin blows Leo out of the water in my opinion. I love them both though. Leo is amazing at what he does and Joaquin is amazing at what he does, and they're very different. And if we're talking actors I wouldn't feel right if I didn't mention Daniel Day Lewis. There's certain roles that are absolutely masterpieces. Joaquin in Gladiator, Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood, Leo in Wolf of Wall Street.
Joaquin Phoenix is so good at speaking. He really doesn't get the coverage that let's this shine. The inspirational voice. The feeling of soaring! There's no darkness here, no profanity. It's just freedom from the chains of pain and struggle. 🌹

He was intimidating at first but halfway through this five day job the crew was just comfortably working with this dude named Leo because that’s how cool he is. both inspiring men. they live life well. dedicated, humble, approachable and authentic. both seem to carry pain or emptiness inside. one wears it on the outside and the other keeps it neatly tucked within.
Joaquin knows the greatness of Leo even back then. The man hit it out the ballpark at such a young age, it's scary. Respect and gratitude between two great actors.
I know out was just a role but I identify with the characters. He was so base and obnoxious in that character that I could not watch him in a part for a long time. The lid, das him first in the blue Wagon, but he was too young at the time. However have realised he has grown and has real talent. Saw him in a film, but do not remember the name. It seemed to be a Thriller I think he had escaped from a mental hospital?

Gladiator is my favorite movie, and the acting of Commodus really deserved the Oscar for that movie.
I know out was just a role but I identify with the characters. He was so base and obnoxious in that character that I could not watch him in a part for a long time. The lid, das him first in the blue Wagon, but he was too young at the time. However have realised he has grown and has real talent. Saw him in a film, but do not remember the name. It seemed to be a Thriller I think he had escaped from a mental hospital?
I remember when Leo was a kid and was amazed at his acting, so I'm not surprised at his success.
