I loved Martina/Pam, the DHSS scenes were my favourite part of the program.

the ambience, the characters, the cigarette smoke, all gone now.
It was always an ambition to get a date with the girl behind the bullet proof glass, I'm sure this ladies resolve would soften after, say, a few glasses of red wine!

Went to the super market and the girl at the checkout has pams vioce.This was one of my favourite shows in the 80's .Great to see some of the best moments on you tube. I loved the funny one liners . living in Australia, not ever having traveled to England ,it was my first insight as to what it would be like to live in your country " doing it tough" .coming from a "lower socio economic" background myself I think helped me relate to the series also.is there any similar english comedy shows?

thank you for replying. made me smile again. im sure there are alot of us still love it and would if it got repeated, including your bank manager im sure. we should start a campaign. as a 14 year old boy at the time your best moment was rolling down the hill with shifty. a surprise bit of leg can do alot for a boy.

Hard to imagine living in a country where you can walk into a welfare office and say, "Me transmissions buggered and I need 200 quid to fix it!!!" Is it still like that in England, if so I'm moving there.
