    My wife gave me a Kelly as my surprise Christmas gift- even in my favorite color matte black. I'm very impressed with my new Kelly. It is very comfortable on my knee, and in my hands, and lots of fun to play. I always wanted an Explorer-style shaped guitar, and now I've got one 😁

    My brother has a Kelly, I had a Dinky and now I have an RR3. Dinky has to be the most comfortable guitar for playing sitting down ever created. I didn't like the neck on mine (it was a cheap JS11 and it had a Strat style neck), so I sold it, but other than that it was VERY comfortable. RR is also crazy comfortable, once you get used to the classical position. Kelly felt weird at first, but once I got used to it, it became very comfortable too. Wanna try Warrior and King V to see what they're like.

    I play all of my guitars in classical position or standing. That's why I'm looking at the LTD ARROW over the other "V" shapes and the Kelly Jackson over the DEAN ZERO. I have yet to get my hands on an IBANEZ XIPHOS to try out, but thank goodness Guitar Center has 500 cookie-cutter Fenders, Gretsch and Epiphones perched on the wall. That wall is like a glue-trap for moms who buy for their beginner sons and old men who dream of that one concert they attended in 1976.

      I've heard great things about the LTD Arrow. Best of luck in your hunt and great analogy for the GC wall. 😂

    About the bodysize, has it remained the same over the years?
    I got a Kelly in late 90s and I have never payed attention on it being any smaller than my Explorer but after this video, I think it could be.
    You didn't play the guitar with a strap but once you do there might be a lot of neck dive.
    Fortunately there's a solution for that on a bolt-on, moving the strap button to one of the screws on the neck joint fixed that problem.

    • @Electric.Flamingo
      @Electric.Flamingo  8 месяцев назад

      I think, for the most part, the body size has stayed the same.

    Me. I bought recently jackson kelly and it's really comfy playing in classical style. The most comfortable guitar i ever tried btw, except for neck dive, which is easy to fix.
