In this series, I restore a 1990 Jackson Kelly Professional, which is a Made-in-Japan guitar. In this first installment, I remove everything from the neck and body so that I can refinish a well-worn neck and repair some dings in the face of the guitar. I also replace the pickups with some new Fleor humbuckers.
Who am I? I'm just a hobbyist, not a luthier. I've picked up a few skills along the way, and I continue to learn. If you're into DIY projects and musical instruments or gear, you may enjoy my channel. If you do, please like, subscribe, and leave a comment.

That knob is original. I have used these black metal ones on similar guitars with good results: amzn.to/3unjWoe
