- Hey guys! It is time for one of my FAVORITE makeup sales of the year- the Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale! I am in LOVE with Sydney Grace eyeshadows and if ever there was a time to try them this is it! Today I am sharing with you my thoughts on two of the new palettes Sydney Grace released in collaboration with Temptalia, as well as some swatches of some singles that I recently picked up (LOVE her single Mattes and Pressed Pigments!) Just an FYI...Christine said that she has a love of the solar system so that's where a lot of the names come from. Magellan is extra special because it's named for her dog that she recently lost....thats also the reason for Heart Dog.
I knew about this sale because of you Mandy and waited about 11 months. I've just placed my first Sydney Grace order and I'm so excited to see how their famous formula performs.

So Mandy buy a shirt in that deep jewel toned blue/purple and see how you like the color near your face. I think your coloring is perfect for those colors.

I have been stalking their site since yesterday then I remembered your previous videos and re-watched them. I used the quad pairing ideas you had and tweaked them a little with some of my likings. I wanted to qualify for the new Coffee Talk palette but I didn't want to duplicate similar neutrals I was going to because so I found other colors to make another "quad" and that put me over the free palette edge and I am getting neutrals and transition shades! Yay! Thanks Mandy for your inspiration! 😊

I love the shade Heart Dog!!! It is the perfect inner corner highlight or in the middle of the lid for a halo eye.❤
I have been pairing my Temptalia palettes with my old bh duo chrome highlighter palette and using the highlights as my inner corner shade.
I spent a good amount of my weekend time charting out the singles I have and what I need to fill in the gaps in my collection in time for the sale. Now I have to decide which day I’m going to shop.
I made an order before the sale and it was refreshing to have all the singles in stock and I got a 9 pan palette. I’ll wait for other sales this week to maybe get a palette. Oh, and you can remove these palette pots with a magnet and make your own custom palette. Would love to see you do 7 looks with your entire SG collection.
Because you have SO hyped Sydney Grace shadows, I bought all three of those pallettes in light. Now I'm making my list for singles. OH MY GOSH those shadows are MAGIC! I'm so thrilled to have them.

I have mature lids and they are so nice.

You've shown a couple of times that You create a 12 pan palette of those singles during shop my stash - would be fun to see which color schemes You choose :) Great content and gorgeous eye look!!
Hi MandyLee - I blame you for my getting all three of the Temptalia palettes - and also when I found out I could easily depot the palettes - it made it a wonderful deal so I can create my perfect palettes with these and my other Sydney Grace singles. I really love the colors in these palettes when deconstructed - so amazing! I think a lot more people are realizing this. Mel Thompson did a video where she remixed the palettes and I knew I had to get all three. By the way, I always take note of the single shadows you get because I love your esthetics and it jives with my own. I just also learned that I am a big fan of jewels tones when it comes to colors.
If you do a soft neutral and/or pink upper lid, and then put a narrow swatch of "Celestial Bloom" on the lower lid, smoke it out a little, maybe deepen the outer corner just a few mm in with the black for dimension, that would look amazing, and I think you would find it wearable!!
Ooh, first one! I'm so excited for this sale! While the new palettes don't really interest me, I'm thinking of getting the Enduring Love and Mel's palette. It is also time to add to my singles collection! Could you do a video that is finding dupes in your collection to specific palettes IE what colors you have that pull together to "dupe" the Natasha Denona Bronze palette (or whatever palettes you think can be recreated with SG singles).
I ordered the Quitessenance Light and ON the Horizon light today and go the new Coffee Talk Deep free. I wanted light for the Coffee Talk, but I will pick that up next payday. Her shadow formula is outstanding. I AGREE!

I recently picked up Eastern Rise, really like that one. I also picked up Mythical which is also really nice but I haven't figured out how to wear it. For me it's too bold as a lid shade, so it will likely be an outer or inner corner shade. I am not sure if I will pick up anything from the sale as I am happy with my EL palette and my dozen or so singles, but I will check it out. Nice video.
Loved seeing your look and all the swatches. I really thought I would shop the sale this year and I still might, but considering how much makeup I have and my overall financial health at the moment, I might skip and wait another half a year or a year. I do have the Tiny Marvels and love it and there are still so many looks to explore within that palette that I am trying really hard to convince myself that I don't need any more (because let's be honest... I don't need any more!). But I might cave. I watched all your Sydney Grace videos last year and was convinced that after my no buy year, I would buy something during this years sale, so we will see. My struggle is always narrowing it down to the select few shades that are within my budget. I get so frustrated that I can't have them all and end up not buying anything LOL. I guess you could say I am very ... all or nothing... Would love to see if you end up picking up anything or if your collection is already full enough.
I'm glad I saw your video about the sale! I signed up for Sydney Grace's emails, but I guess they don't notify of any specials that way.
I have a few shades from sydney grace that I just swatch to look at but never have worn... but oh, I love to ohh and ahh over them -- especially Flannel.
Someone I follow on Instagram swapped out those brighter/darker blues for some neutral singles in the OTH palette -- you might try that and reserve the ones you'd wear less often for a day you're feeling like going out of your comfort zone. :)

I got one of the Temptalia pallets and it is gorgeous! I love jewel toned shadows! But even though I am drawn to jewel colors, I don’t want to put them all over my lids. I use them by switching them out every day for my outer V of the eye. One day I use blue, another green, the next day purple etc. That way I shear them out and they are not quite so bold. I know I am in the minority but I don’t see why people will use Yellow, Orange or Red eyeshadows but are nervous to use blue shadows. But I love that we all have different tastes with makeup! The palettes are gorgeous! Like you, I am close to owning all of the singles from SG and I can't help but wonder if those are really new shades or existing one renamed because they look soooo similar to those that I already own, I don't know... would be nice to see some comparaison! Beautiful look, like a bright inner corner as well!!
I have a ton of their singles (and cream shadows) too and youre right - they have too many similar shades thats 100%. Although I enjoy all the undertones I wish they would do different colors too to add some more variety to their core single collection. They lack some cornflower blue but have a ton of similar teal/aqua colors (Comforter, Megalodon, Hydra...) for example. Same with other color families. Even the new 4 shadows they posted today ALL look like exisitng already shadows :( So Im a bit disappointed by that. Too many similar shadows and lack of different colors.
I just gave myself a talking too about not buying anymore make-up for awhile. But I have been wanting to try SG, and I love a good sale . 😬
My Sydney Grace addiction began last year during their Christmas in July sale! I’ve got every palette, a huge singles collection, and maybe 15 of their cream shadows! You won’t regret trying them out!!

If you search her channel, she has made some videos suggesting quads and combos from Sydney Grace...they were gorgeous and reflects her style.
Ooh I already have Mythical and was worried Dear Reader would be too similar, but it seems different based off the different swatches in your video. In person are they totally different? Also, any thoughts on the Coffee Talk palette they teased?

I would love to see you do a video of how you would group Sydney Grace individual blues, purples, greens, and silvers. When I see your swatches they are helpful as you move your arm so we can see how the shadow changes in the light. FYI, the mint green you mentioned I couldn't find. Does it perhaps go by a different name? And Eastern Rise looks gorgeous on you, but brown on the website. Again to my point of needing consistency in how the shadows are swatched on the website.
Both Mint Green and Perfect Vacation are listed under the pressed pigments section for blues/greens.

I noticed the same thing about Eastern Rise and also Iced Mocha - they look completely different in her video vs on the website. I would really like to try SG but the lack of consistency makes me very hesitant to place an order.
@@hillaryhoshaw To be honest I look up the colors on the SG website and Temptalia's website and compare, I think Temptalia's website is more accurate in terms of the actual color. But that's just my opinion.

Maybe I am not looking in the right place, but I am not seeing the linked previous review video? Looking to make my first purchase.
My first time to order SG, HELP please! What finish of the SG Shadows are considered foiled? I don’t like any glitter option, they tend to find their way all over my face! I like using a reflective shadow in the center and deeper shades in the crease/ outer eye area.
Which top 5 shadows would you recommend? I’m 59 with a a neutral/warm tone light olive skin. Brown eyes & hair.
They have a few metallic shadows with some micro glitter/sparkles but nothing too exreme ( Purple rain, Blaze, Light my world and some others). Their duochromes are VERY sublte and mature eyes friendly so to speak ( The greatest gift, Winter garden for example). Most of the pressed pigments are very reflective and smooth. If you like less metallic shadows then there is a section on their site - shimmer shadows, those are more like satin, less shiny and no glitter/sparkle at all. Deeper matte shadows - Beyond, Lords a leaping, Plummet will look especially lovely with brown eyes.

I bought one of the Temptalia palettes a few weeks ago because you love their formula so much.
I was excited to see that the sale started and rushed to the their web site. Man, what a let down! A customer has to check Instagram to find the deal, then go back to the website to make a purchase. I'm not interested in going through that hassle.
If you go to the website and click sales and promotions, it breaks down each day. It's all on the website.
I love your videos, but I wish you would turn off the filter on your camera for more accurate reviews.
