Rewatching this two years later and still appreciate Mel's personality and insight.
I was hoping Sydney Grace would come out with a palette for their duochromes and multichromes! I would buy that in a heartbeat!
The color story of the palettes don’t really call to me, but you have made me so excited for the quality of her shadows that I am going to go pick out 9 or 12 of her singles to create a custom palette. I’m hoping your discount code will work on those as well. Mel, I love your genuine enthusiasm when you really love products and it is very contagious. You sell me every time!
Over the holidays I was talking makeup with my nieces and both were saying they need help with learning how to do their eyeshadow and I said MEL THOMPSON!! One is planning on cosmetology school later this year and she could definitely learn A LOT from you in preparation! 😁❤️❤️

I'm not sure you're talking about the palettes that I'm talking about. I'm talking about hudas little nude palettes. They're literally light, medium and dark in the same hues, they just got deeper in tone.
I’m a huge Sydney Grace fan and will be adding this to my already considerable collection. I’ve been preaching their ability to nail cool mattes to anyone who will listen. Awesome and thorough review, Mel 👍

My story is funny too but not as innocent.. Lol. My 18 year old walked in after I spilled white translucent setting powder on my bathroom counter and I was using my debit card to push it all together so I could put it back into the container.. He looks at me with wide eyes and goes "Mom is that cocaine???" Lol umm no son. But makeup is my addiction! Lol hope this didn't offend anyone.. I did say how do you know what cocaine looks like mister in a joking way and he just rolls his eyes and said Scarface duhh lol..

Woooow, that’s such a great idea. I can’t tell you how many palettes I’ve skipped on because of “throw-away” shades that I could never find use for. I’ve been meaning to try Sydney Grace so perhaps I’ll try this 🤔
You will NOT regret using her products. Her liquid shadows are TO DIE FOR as well. You can mix them and once they "set" they are smudge proof. Everything they make is amazing.

@@denissebermudez5045 im so excited for you!! Honestly, everything they make is friggin gorgeous. Their highlights, all of their eyeshadows ect. A few years ago when I first dipped my toes in their products, I bought a 30 eyeshadow magnet palette thinking oh yeah this will be fine, how much eyeshadow does one need.. And now it's full and I'm waiting for my new magnet shadow palette to arrive before I can fill that too lol now I think any palette or eyeshadow from palette is just overpriced garbage lol 😂

Sorry I sound like a broken record lol I'm really pale and my favorite highlighters are Arctic moon (loose highlight) and down the aisle (pressed highlight) but honestly everything is great. The loose highlighters are great because you don't need a magnetic palette to keep them in, but I would recommend you get a big magnetic palette lol
I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t tap off the excess. I think it’s a waste of product or you aren’t using the right brush. Thanks for not making me feel strange. Love love this tutorial!

I am in love with S.G. shadows i own many and have them in a z palette! plus her creamshadows are INCREDIBLE!!!! u tube influencers need to really get to know her and show her some love because really she is sooooo affordable soooo awesomly good plus she also ships internationally (i do not live in the U.S.) and i am in love!!!

Those palettes gorgeous, and the way you blend the eyeshadow seems very effortlessly. It's such a great idea how those palettes where done, from neutral nude to smoky, even some glam looks.. endless ideas . 😍😍😍

I prefer Sydney Grace's formula over most high end. I have 3 large magnetic palettes with their shadows and I reach for them over almost any other brand in my fairly extensive collection. Their formula is just dreamy 😍😂. Before I discovered the brand I almost never grabbed for my single shadows from other brands. I have been meaning to do an order and I will definitely be using your code lol. The thing I love the most is that they do versions of bundles/palettes for deeper complexions 😊. Being on the lighter end of medium skin tone, I don't need it personally but I'm SO HERE for the inclusivity!!
I thought the same thing about the similarities in tones of your last look with the Tarte palette before you even saying it. I’ve never seen it in person but I saw you wearing it many times and immediately felt the tones are so soft and beautiful like that palette! I’m fair myself and those types of shades are hard to find. Kudos to Sydney Grace cause this is gold ♥️ and to you for showing it of so beautifully 😍
What sold me are shades in the palette identical to the Tarte Aspyn Ovard palette! I even contacted Tarte to bring it back but with no luck. I probably would not have picked it up as gorgeous as it is because I don't need another palette. But it having all those shades that match the Aspyn Ovard now I have to get it in the light version. Thanks Mel for all your honesty and great reviews.
I finally got around to placing an order w Sydney Grace and I was so impressed not only w the shadows but w customer service. I emailed them cause one shadow arrived shattered, I got a response within an hour and I think they shipped out a replacement the next day. Doing 2 palettes for separate skin tones is SO smart and proof that this company listens to their customers. Mainstream brands really need to watch out for indie labels cause they are coming for them! I know that I literally switched from a no/low buy this year to buying exclusively from indie brands and without a doubt I will b purchasing alot more from SG.
Mel, I love the looks you came up with and am in love with the colors and finishes in this palette. I just had cataract surgery on my right eye Thursday and cannot use any eye makeup for a week, and planned on just not wearing any makeup until February after my second eye is done and the doctor gives me the all-clear, and then you showed me this! I will be marking my calendar & setting an alarm to order the second it drops. I have not been this excited over a palette in a long time! I hope I get it fast enough to play with before my second surgery. Thank you, for a great review, beautiful looks and a great recommendation (my first palette of the decade)! Lynn
Can’t wait for this to drop. I’m sixty-six and still rocking full makeup every day, BUT need softer tones and so many palettes have too many bold colors that I’ll only use once in awhile. Thank you for the in-depth review and the lovely soft look!

I love my Sydney Grace eyeshadows! When I saw they were coming out with a cooler toned palette, I was immediately on board! I can’t wait!
Started watching yesterday but got a phone call and didn’t get to finish the video til tonight. First, after 3 years of watching you talk about GOOD brushes, I used Christmas money and bought Sonia G brushes from Target. Got and eye set and three face brushes on clearance! I am simply amazed how big a difference they make in application of products. I pitched my Real Techniques, Morphe and Ulta brushes.
Just gorgeous! After the disappointment of those Tom Ford quads this is the perfect antidote - fabulous shades, wonderful quality, beautifully balanced colour story - what more could a girl want?!
Mel - I finally picked up this palette upon your recommendation when it recently released for Valentines Day 2022 again (and I hope to try the new one too), and of course, it led me to your video here, to watch your beautiful face, expertise and spirit. I love this idea, I love that they were so inclusive- doing what the big brands won't! I've tried their shadows and they are beautiful. I'm not buying eyeshadow right now but definitely would repurchase SG shadows.

My sister fell in love with my Tarte Aspan Ovard palette ... like she was OBSESSED. So, I gave it to her on the condition she give it back if she tires of it or finishes it (I want to frame it). Well, she wears it almost daily, so I feel a little less guilty about breaking my no buy for this. I love what the brand did by making 2 versions of the palette, that was super THOUGHTFUL. Would have loved for you to do the exact same look but with the two palettes so we could see the difference in colors and tones side by side.
That does look like a beautiful palette. Want to try them sometime in the future. It's nice that there is a light version and one for people with darker skin. Love your enthusiasm for the brand, it makes me want to try them so bad.

I have been wanting to take the plunge and try Sydney Grace for so long! Got my Sydney Grace light palette today; the lights are not as light as I thought they would be and actually had to check the invoice to verify I got the light mailed to me. So if anyone thinks the light might be too light based on the screen images, they are not, in my opinion. I had contemplated also getting the dark but it had sold out, which I am now glad about since this one is dark enough for me, even the lighter shades of color are darker than they appear on screen.

Hey Mel, I just purchased this palette on restock. I wish the packaging was the same now it’s cardboard it’s pretty but I like the way it was. I love the looks you did. The last one is my favorite.
I have multiple single eyeshadows (Anastasia, Mac, Makeup Geek, Inglot, Makeup Forever...) but for me, Sydney Grace are really the best. Matts are so blendable and pressed pigments.... Ohhhhh my God!!! Don't be fooled by the lighter colours thinking will be too light, because they are not. They are darker on the skin compared to how they look in the pan. I'm a medium skin tone and I'm gonna pick up a lighter version. Love you Sydney Grace ❤️

I ordered the mystery bag from Sydney Grace to try the formula (she had the “Deep” option for the bags as well). I was very impressed. I was going to order more singles, but I think that I will buy this palette instead. I prefer for the my shadows to be curated for me, so this is great.
