I bought all Aethers palettes when they closed down and I was surprised how good they really are. Don’t know why I was surprised. I’m glad they didn’t give up.
I love this video. I've watched multiple times since you posted it. I'm really into indie brands right now, with mainstream beauty brands releasing fewer eyeshadow pallettes these days. Indie for the win!
I bought Gal on Jupiter when it launched, my first Gloss Gods purchase, and the swatches alone were jaw dropping. I've been an indie shadow lover for years but the metallics in this palette blew me away
Finally, RUclips has been paying attention and has been popping your content in front of me more! I have been enjoying your indie content so much and this one was so enjoyable! My only struggle is that I can’t decide which brand I want to try next!!!

A grear video like always! I think the same about my EM Cosmetics palette, it was very expensive gettting it and a few other things, to get the minimum shipping fee but then the taxes got to me. It was a little bit painfull but so worth it!
I know it costs an arm and a leg to buy but that's why I don't shop with them too often. At least they now calculate your taxes when you order. No more surprises.
Hi Maaike I am tempted by the cosmic brushes palette as a little foray into indie shadows. It’s easy to access for me here in Scotland and not really expensive like the Ensley Reign (that colour story does appeal to me but it’s huge and so so expensive). Sydney Grace I do really want to try, but it’s the shipping and that includes Monolith as I just don’t buy enough to hit free shipping from them. Oh well maybe July for cosmic brushes (my May and June budget is spoken for/already spent - haircut, makeup/skincare already bought and the ilia serum stuff I fell in love with from the sample 😂😂). That Ravens castle I also think might work for me perhaps? Do you think it or the cosmic brushes would be the best buy for my mature hooded eyes? Best wishes x
I think the Raven's Castle is better for more mature lids. But if you are looking for the fun that indie has to offer then I would go with Cosmic Brushes.
I actually don’t like Indie brands that much. Maybe because I’m almost 60. It’s not that I don’t love how beautiful the colors are or I’m too old to wear those colors because it’s inappropriate (hell with that) it’s because those formulas and super foily shades look terrible on me. That being said I can get on good with nomads palettes for reasons you mentioned.
You might like glamlite. Their shimmers are still beautiful but have a less heavy and foiled effect, overall. I used the Glamlite Barbie pallette yesterday and felt like my eyes looked 10 years younger instead of 10 years older. The recent Natasha denona releases also cater to more mature lids, in my opinion! Not sure if those count as indie anymore, though. Lol. Hope this helps, fellow eyeshadow lover!
Are you getting anything in the monolith drop? Tempted to get the Amy Loves Makeup palette or Geodes palette. Glossgods have just done a restock so really tempted to make a purchase. The struggle of when you want several palettes but can only have one 😂I bought the loves journey palette because you recommended it and I haven't put it down since I purchased it when they dropped on monolith. I didn't get on great with Glaminatrix, got the 6 pan palette and hate that chunky glitter formula
I really want the Amy Loves Adept collab as well but it may be out of stock before I can get on the website to order it. We'll see. I am in no hurry. I have plenty of palettes to test out for the next few months.
Nomad said that they'll bring Haunted Europe back some time either late this year or next, and Aether recently said they're reopening (per Sarah Rose)

I too have all the Aether palettes as well as the Haunted Europe! All so good 😊
Oh that's great news about Athr reopening!
I heard the same thing about Nomad's Haunted Europe. I own it, and I hope everyone who wants it can get it this year!

Have you seen the new Fantasy Cosmetica with the blues? So tempting!
It so totally is! I will discuss it in my next new makeup releases video.

It'a stunning isn't it?

So many amazing brands!!!
Gabriella Frances here on RUclips also loves Gloss Gods (she's also based in the EU). They're definitely on my wish list!

There are definitely indie brands that will work even if you are dealing with a lot of texture. Try Sydney Grace if you haven't yet.

You can get the slush palette on monolith for 10€
Good to know but the brand has gone defunct. When these are gone they are gone.
New subscriber. Interested in Indie brands. They're a little expensive
Slush in te koop op Monolith...in de sale ❤
De nieuwste van Lunar Beauty...Moonshroom heeft dezelfde kleuren als de oude Solmane 😊
I think Nomad mentioned they will be bringing back Haunted Europe this fall 🎉
I think I’ll pick that one up. Then again let’s see what everyone else will do.
Yes I heard that too!
