#miata #cars #whethan
as i say in the video, i’m new to car stuff. and my gf has experience, but is still green in the field. if you guys have any ideas/advice, you can let us know in the comments😎
You seem to be in Georgia so I recommend hitting up RSpeed for help and parts, they're my go to shop. I did most of the work myself (wrecked shell, only transmission and random parts kept) but I'd get advice and other big parts through them. I have a red 1990, if you go to Kennesaw you actually may have seen me before, I've got a custom plate on it.
I actually have a bunch of leftover engine parts too that have less than 1,000 miles if you need any, they may or may not work for the 1.8.
@@Rad_Goblinthanks! we’ll look into it. and yeah we both go to KSU
@@WhEthan_NF Do you plan on taking it to Caffeine and Octane? I plan on trying to make it this Sunday.
@@WhEthan_NF I'm also a local, I HIGHLY recommend RSpeed. Great folks who've been working solely on miatas for decades. Keep an eye out for a Merlot NB with a cage, hope to see you on the road.
@@Rad_Goblinwe’re skipping this one, we have a bit too much going on. but next month we definitely will
“This is a na miata, they were produced from 1998-1997” lmao
HOW DID I NOT CATCH THAT
HOW DID MY GIRLFRIEND NOT CATCH THAT
AND HOW DID THE 1.9k PEOPLE WATCHING BEFORE YOU NOT CATCH THAT😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Literally the first 10 words
I like your enthusiasm and presentation style. As an owner of a bone stock 1.6L NA in Australia for the last 7 years or so and another in the UK many moons ago I hope you enjoy yours and don't be in a hurry to "improve" it with mods. They may be slow relatively speaking but they are superbly well-balanced driver's cars out of the factory. Enjoy.
thanks man, i appreciate it! we’re actually saving up for a “new” engine since ours has rod knock. and we have other mods planned like switching out the lights for better ones and repainting it since ours paint isn’t in great shape, but as for preformance mods, we aren’t sure rn. just because it’s not fast doesn’t mean it’s not fun to drive
The “Buy now. Figure it out later.” Is so common when it comes to buying an old car. It’s fun to have a project but the price often hurts lol. It becomes a fun money pit.
Just make sure you have a reliable daily.
Congrats! You have one of the most fun cars of all time!
appreciate it! can’t wait to really make this thing look and work good
@WhEthan_NF you have a nice looking example, go easy
1998 to 97 that was a tight production window😂
i meant 89 to 97😅

hey, figured I'd let you know moss miata marks some of their stuff up a ton, if you find something on there you want, search other sites before buying. Especially new OEM stuff.
i kinda figured that, but thanks for the clarification
