My sister was a big fan of abba ... She was 5 years older than I and she would often listen to ABBA music .. from the 70's on .... over the years ... She was tragically killed during a robbery June 2016 Overnight shift at a gas station / Indianapolis ; working alone . After she died I was sitting at computer listening to Abba songs and this one touched me unexpectedly . It's almost as if she were singing it to me from beyond ... The lyrics and music so relevant to grief . I love you guy's energy and reactions !
@@MikeandGinger Thank you ... It was so surreal to see news broadcasts covering the crime ... It's ALWAYS someone else on the t.v... To have it be close relations that it happened to ... just bizarre .. One day they are there then nothing ... gone ... never hear her unique laugh again ...
First Aid Kit are Swedish sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, well known for their vocal harmonies. Check out their cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "America", performed live on Letterman: ruclips.net/video/wU5BvylUVp0/видео.html
Live from Polar Music Prize Concert with Paul Simon in the audience is even more beautiful. Fun to se Mr Simons great reaction ruclips.net/video/vBwKp6QhIvE/видео.html. But their own music is very very good as well.
I've been requesting them a few times, so more First Aid Kit, please :-) They have made many good covers, but their own music is at least as good. Usually excellent vocal harmonization along with well composed and arranged music.
Those girls can harmonise for sure and they have so many great songs, you'll Love Them One live performance, street version, is gorgeous Waltz for Richard Don't miss it, even if you don't react to it (Must be the outdoor live version from Australia)
Just love First Aid Kit ❤️ You are in for a treat 🤍🌼

Our sisters (Klara & Johanna) can do anything ❤ War pigs, Crazy on You, America, Songbird, Running up that Hill, On the Road again, The Rose, Red dirt Girl, Dancing barefoot, It must have been love, Walk unafraid, With God on your side etc etc And their own music is mind blowing ❤️
Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg. And I think the extra singer is Linda Bengtzing First aid kit have made three great artists cry with covers of their songs: Emmylou Harris (Red dirt girl) Paul Simon ( America) Patti Smith. (Dancing barefoot) All at the Polar music prize. Ice ice baby, vanilla ice ice baby. And I'm from Sweden. 😉
The sisters are very fond of Emmylou Harris' songs. Here's the link for their cover of "Red Dirt Girl" (recommended above) live at the 2015 Polar Music Awards in Sweden, with both the Swedish King and Emmylou in the audience: ruclips.net/video/HfMcn6dNY34/видео.html The girls also wrote a very popular song for and about Emmylou, sung here at the same Award show: ruclips.net/video/Hi5A9OCAyIk/видео.html
First Aid Kit- best swedish group since ABBA for sure(sorry Roxette & Cardigans) Lots to discover there. Their version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “America” is even better than the original imo..
Yees! More First Aid Kit!! You must check out their Emmy Lou as they played it for Emmy Lou (featuring also the Swedish king..) and when they played Paul Simon's song America with Paul Simon in the audience. Also, I must suggest that you listen to Josh Turner (and his friend's) cover of ABBA's Mamma Mia. As an ABBA fan I was very pleasantly surprised and I'd say this the best ABBA cover out there.
Ooh I love First Aid Kit! I have some lyrics from their song "Hard Believer" tattooed on my forearm. They are a fantastic sister duo. Hard Believer, Stay Gold, My Silver Lining, I Met Up With a King, Wolf, are some good tunes
Ginger, you cannot be disappointed with this cover of your favourite ABBA song I thought they sounded really good. Also siblings, usually, can really harmonise really good together, they sort of have a unfair advantage. EG. The BeeGees from down under although people will say not really Australian but this is where they got their start from. Can remember them before they became internationally famous and quite young. ❤️🤘🇦🇺
My wife and I were on a cruise a few years ago on Norwegian Cruise Lines and they had an ABBA cover band for a concert. They are called Abbacadabra. Absolutely fantastic. True to ABBA they were a keyboard, guitar, the two female leads and a drummer. They even looked like ABBA. The sound was almost indistinguishable from the original. We bought their cd and met them for autographs and they were really cool.
This crew is very talented and do a good cover, but this really illustrates the true flash of pure fire that was ABBA. There’s just no true comparison.
War pigs "Black Sabbath" : ruclips.net/video/RlELdCSDFKU/видео.html and one of their own songs : "Emmylou" ruclips.net/video/Pn3Q0AUBVRYB/видео.htmloth from the same show.
Ginger. You have to Tell your man to be guiet when you listen to the songs. Specially when you say that the songs is Specially for You. You Can see on Ginger face that she want to listen to the song without any inteference. 😍
Please react to Novia Bachmid ft. Fivein - Beggin' #MANESKIN (KERONCONG), Keroncong is a real genre music instrument from indonesia. you'll be a enjoy and surprise. Thx, GBU.
Is there any chance that you might also react to any of these other great covers of ABBA songs? "Thank You for the Music" - Dame Vera Lynn "I Have a Dream" - Nana Mouskouri "The Way Old Friends Do" - Eve Graham "Dancing Queen" - Kylie Minogue (live at the 2000 Olympics) "Chiquitita Dis-Moi Pourquoi" (French version of Chiquitita) - Nana Mouskouri "The Way Old Friends Do" by the London Symphony Orchestra with the London Pop Choir "Like an Angel Passing Through My Room" - Celtic Woman "The Winner Takes it All" - Kylie and Dannii Minogue
@@MikeandGinger Oh ofc that figures. Well, thanks' for getting back to me. I´ll would have loved to see your reaction. At first I just couldn't really compute in what I was hearing but after a few times hearing the songs these are instant classics imho.
First Aid Kit are brilliant covers or even better their own stuff.

Really impressive. That was great.
Great reaction guys
The iconic "ABBA-Piano-Slide" is missing reminding us that this is not ABBA, but the sisters are soo capable of the harmonies, it is a pleasure!

Today, "Ghost Town" MV and "Stay Gold" , feels fitting.

You should react to First Aid Kit when they make Emmylou Harris cry.

Infact ABBA released two new songs. You must react on Don’t shut me down 👍 Respect to First aid kid, one of few good ABBA covers
Nailed it.

Can First Aid Kit do a whole ABBA Unplugged Session pretty please?! They certainly will do justice every ABBA tracks they cover
hard to stand! it's so sad seeing a friend breaking down and yet they try to give hope... cheesy but sooo beautiful
