This song makes me feel again like a carefree teenager. It's like a joyful perfumed beautiful dream,i just don't wanna wake up to cruel reality.I love ABBA.
Hi there you 2 nice people.Just linked you some report of what Happened in the VOYAGE premier in LOndon. This is MASSIVE and extented its residency , over 1 million tickets sold aince people from all over the globe are attenting there after having travelled miles and miles just to see this!
Thank u for doing this.Abba's new masterpiece of pure pop music that we had missed that much! When this came out 2nd September 2021 we cried a river of tears first time listening to this via livestreaming.
This entire album is so good. My personal favorite is “No Doubt About It.” They sound so young and carefree. Come Christmas y’all gotta do “Little Things.”
Love this song. A triumphant return with the ladies still sounding great solo and together. Love your partnership on screen, it’s fun and warm to watch. Best wishes.
Abba are the gift that keeps giving. They are now immortalised at the Abba Arena in London. The Voyage concert is jaw dropping. This song was written to be a new song in the concert, along with I Still Have Faith In You ❤
ABBA are very special in the way that Björn Ulvaeus is delivering lyrics that are not aiming to be poetic or "arty". He describes a situation and the feelings involved so accurate, like that polish director whom no one can spell his name. Brilliant stuff, thanks. Kieslowski?
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop quartet ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came" in 1982) and the edition of new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack" in 1982 too) and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors" in 1981) Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid "Don't shut me down" (2021) it's another surprise from ABBA A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice. Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us. and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits And it ends, like the begining, with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (nod to "Thank you for the music") now we have the new album "Voyage" since last November 2021, with four nominations to Grammys awards 2023 (two for album and two for these song, among first nomination in 2022) and the new ABBA Concert in the new ABBA Arena at London (with ABBAtars of Themselfes) Thank for your reaction and for Your respect to ABBA music see in next ABBA vídeo GOD bless You my best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America
During ABBA's 1979 North America tour, all four members of the group were presented with 'Leafs' jerseys. During the song 'Why Did It Have To Be Me', Anni-Frid always wore the jersey of a popular local sports team at each concert during that tour. Habs fan, Mike might like to know that In Montreal, she wore the shirt of Guy Lafleur. In Edmonton, it was Wayne Gretzky. Amazing comeback for the group after nearly 40 years.
Nice review, I hope you will also take a listen to 'I Still Have Faith In You' which was released simultaeneously at the same time as 'Don't Shut Me Down'.
I think the point of the lyrics is they are written from the perspective of one of those ”Abbatars” they use in the Abba shows in London. It sounds at first like someone looking up on old lover, but what they’re really saying is asking the audience to give them ”Abbatars” a chance, and not shut them down, as it were.
Btw I've come to the conclusion that it should be criminal not to like ABBA. It's wholesome, intelligent, stirs feelings up in a constructive way. And still held in high regard of musicians of the alternative scene. Let's find a day to celebrate them forever. I wiould love a duet with duet with TS and NC.
any reason why U blocked me on twitter all because I replied to why it such a big deal.. making fun of someone who likes a girl like that.. for someone who comes across like they are open.. ud think u talk all this out.. so I guess I have to be some muppet tell you what u wanna hear..
You left 4 comments, trashing me because I think a woman is more than just a shallow list of dos and don’ts. You don’t have to agree. But your obsessive haranguing is creepy and unhinged. Reinforced by your stalking me to here and leaving another trashy comment. You’re a troll. I always block trolls. - G
ABBa gives me goosebumps, and the more I listen to it the better it gets, is there something magical about ABBA's music?? I can always hear them.
after a pause of 40 years......this sound ....these voices.....fantastic.....ABBA is unique
Another one masterpiece ...40 years later !!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Ive listened to this song a thousand + more times yet its like the first time ❤❤
Are abba from another dimension. So much happiness . As one comment here says you can never get enough Abba .❤.

The Voyage album becomes a classic like their other albums, thanks for this great video!
Yes. Thanks for mentioning Borje!
Harmonies are always so on point. The best in the business 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Normaly i listen to metal stuff but they cracked the harmony Code! Truly one of a Kind.
@@nevergetcaught9604 so nice to hear such a thing from a metal fan.

You guys are awesome, have a great day!
Thanks! You too!
It's crazy how good both Anni-Frid and Agnetha sounds at the age of 70+, for me 3:40 this sound is so ABBA like in the old days.
Yes, the second chorus is full blown Abba - would have been a massive hit in the 70s
Pure’s Agnetha voice
@@David-dl5vdit could have been a massive hit now, if they did a nice video for it with all of them in it!
Glad you finally did a reaction for this gem. Better late than never. Keep it going with "Keep An Eye On Dan" and "No Doubt About It".
The Mapel Leafs shirt says Andersson on the back, Bennys last name, so it's a merch shirt. Börje Salming played in number 21.

What a shock, Eduardo posting his usual war and peace on an ABBA reaction video.
This song is the kind of song that makes music universal. It's upbeat and hopeful. The lyrics is just about second chances
Benny wore a Bruins shirt at the Boston concert in '79

love this fanmade music video! and love your reaction, you should listen to Voyage in full - great album
I'm so happy to see this video. Keep an eye on Dan is my absolute fave from the Voyage album. I really hope you will react to it ❤️
That music video is fan-made. The original is a lyrics video.
Nice review, I hope you will also take a listen to 'I Still Have Faith In You' which was released simultaeneously at the same time as 'Don't Shut Me Down'.
I think they've done "FAITH" but got re-uploaded some time later on since it had been banned from utube.
This song is a metaphor for Abba in their new digital abatar forn asking their fans to accept them in their new form!
Thanks for share 🙏🏼
you make me smole wide ginger.
this song should be ur dance tune

Love your shirt Mike
Yeah!kinda reminiscent of Benny's shirt in the cover of "The Winner takes it all' single.
Great reaction. Börje Salming Nr.21 in Toronto. Cheers from Sweden.
A masterpiece!
Nominated for Record of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Ceremony last February, sadly ABBA didn't win.
Actually i think 4-5 nominations plus "FAITH" previous year.
The Bird in the background made this song better!!!!!!!
The lyric video was so much better!
#7 was Lanny McDonald. Borje Salming was #21

Didn`t Salming wear number 5? I kinda cried a bit when ABBA "came back" :)
Thats Borje alright.. ;)
Frida is fire!
This is not the video clip to this song..Its the video clip to Anni-Frid s song..
hi again. can u watch anne hathway rendition,
its really dark....not to take away from susans perfor, ance. but see anne,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its shocking
Hi! Do you have ancestrys from Sweden? You talk about Sweden and know alot. I mean you who is doing this video. ❤
Thanks! But no, we're both Canadians without Swedish ancestry.
No#7 back then would be Lanny McDonald. Börje preferred #21 like Peter Forsberg and Jörgen Jönsson.
Ginger is a beut!
Great to see u react again to a real group instead of some amateur cover band
Not a fan of the Maple Leafs? Who do you refer?
I don’t like hockey, at all. Mike is a Habs fan - G
