There is another detail about the change of the room. If you do the side quest of bringing coloring pencils for the children, the children draw pictures on the walls of the room.
Little details like that in Dying light one is what made it into a classic and enjoyable to play each single time and hopefully Techland learns from their mistakes and take a page from the past.😊

I miss my impressions of her passing so much... she was great, my friend and I just ran home from work and played nonstop until nightfall... 😢 For sure game of the decade!
Love games that develop areas over time, like divisions base where people come in needing help as you get it established. Always wanted a village game where everything is trash at the start and through quests and resources you build the own up into a nice place to live.
I had no idea what game this was, *UNTIL* that iconic lens flare showed up. lol I also had no idea about this detail in Dying Light, useless but still pretty cool!
Dying light is insane. I am still looking forward to playing it again soon, graphics are crazy good and still beat a lot of games from today. Story is good, love the vibe it gives off
The last game I know that has this type of thing is The Division 2 though the first game had a better progression where you could unlock certain areas on your own while the second one automatically applies the upgrades for the base of operations if I’m correct.
The problem with this - the core game loop generally encouraged you to uh... not visit that room often. So my experience of it was that I saw it at the start, and then late-game I returned to it, found a load of stuff there, and went "Oh what's this room?"
i never even played this. is it worth it? honestly i'm quite tuned out from gaming lately. i only do my thing in old games and one or another new one. i remember i used to finish 60 hours game in a single week, now, if that isn't my main game, it would take me years if i would even get past a few hours.
love this game so much but its one of the few to give me like severe motion sickness. Would get headaches after around a minute, I'd only play in short bursts lol
I’ve been playing this game since 2015 and only now I learned about it . Also yeah love this game (second part isn’t as good as first part is ) I remember in 2020 before DL2 came out I said to my friends Dying Light 2 won’t be as good as first part is or better never .
They add details. But they are so subtle that gamers can't aknowledge. Like how many players would pay attention to the room changing and etc. when players just blast run/gun the games. What I found interesting is the little details of everyday life they put in a game like Assassin's Creed Unity... Like I was just standing behind a woman that COOKED a whole meal with all the animation for cutting vegetables and stuff. You have to stop the game and do a walk around it to fully enjoy what the animators and developers really put their time to create. And people don't even aknowledge it. Because they run pass those NPC or walls, or rooms.
My guess? When a new technology comes out or when something becomes more viable, it gets used to the max, think bloom during the gamecube era, and then after that it gets more subtle. This is qhat i believe happened to "detailed spaces" in modern games.
Hopefully @DyingLightGameOfficial noticed all the feedback videos about the attention to the little details and everything what makes Dying Light so unique and take them into account when developping the next game Dying Light: The Beast

YOU HAVE A ROOM?!
I had this game since 2015 and I never knew this
I always just slept in the sleeping bag next to the merchant, damn :')
@@CutestDemon yes, faster access really
Yes you do, and the developers steal your stuff and put them in your room.
Yes you have a room, but to be honest the game never gives you much reason to go there
Bro what?! I’ve beat this game more time than I can count and never noticed this that’s crazy
and that is why devs dont care anymore because we dont spend much time exploring as we used back in the day
I mean, its the safe room on top of the tower. Who even goes there constantly? I always just use the one on the bottom when I'm around the tower.
@@UncleSheogorath true I hardly ever go up there unless I need to turn in quests and such lol
I didn't realize this before I started my second playthrough. I also noticed that in Dying Light 2 your room at the Fish Eye changes too!
Exuse me, I had my own room in this game???

I actually completely forgot about this room lol
I have like a few hundred hours in this game and I didnt even know I had my own room

Dying Light is better than Dying Light 2.
+ iconic music theme
This reminds me of Bully, where you also got souvenirs, for your room, from missions.
Aiden's room at Fish Eye changes too, but not that noticable since we dont really visit it

Usually they don't put much detail into this game at all lol
There will be more meaningful & realistic changes & details when AI is included in games in the near future in my opinion.
What a game.
Because the only time you notice is after watching a YT video
That's because of license of the previous models. But that's shouldn't be an excuse

Thats insane but....dying light is already 9 years old at this point
one on a few AAA games i finish.
thats because today they have to worry about the details of gender and pronouns
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
this is no full setings
Developers don't even finish making the game now a days
*keyboard sounds*
Mate can you not show this omg, youre gonna make me play this game again 🙄🤣
also: "Devs are just lazy for not doing (fill in random bs thing)"
This is due to games being overscoped understaffed, and rushed.
But can you sit or drink?
cool mechanic but something failed along the way if a video is needed to point it out
These days genders are more important than details
That's why nowaday pc games look like mobile games. Less detail and boring, too much focus on gameplay but the environment feels so empty.
and now compare this to latest Ubisoft crap Startwars outlaws LOL
