I like how in the first Dying Light, the highlight in the OST was the fear, loneliness and despair because it was the beginning of the Outbreak. In Dying light 2, the outbreak happened 15-20 years ago so people had time to adapt and now the OST are more on the Adrenaline of parkour, intensity and aggressivity.
Both ost did an amazing job to elevate the atmosphere and the theme of the game so well

First time playing this game was a few weeks ago. The game scares the absolute shit out of me, the goddamn suspense of it kills me, and the environment is mad chilling. One of the very few zombie games I struggle to play without being tense haha

I have to disagree on that aspect, while DL1 was more memorable overall, DL2 had way more of a range and experimentation with different tracks and the best DL2 tracks do bet the best DL1 ones but in general DL1 is better IMO

In dying light 2 this light is gone, there’s no hope, no hero, no crane and no cure, humanity lost and they all know it, the hope is still there but the music echoes the sorrow of what was lost while dying light one seems to be trying to echo what is to lose

Uhh, Witcher 3 and Dying Light 2 are crazy good, Cyberpunk also. Metal gear rising goes waaaay too hard. But Mass Effect is also amazing. Payday 2 should also get an honorable mention :D

Yeah the parkour can be a bit fickle at times and Nightmare is a total bitch to do but you dont play over 1200 hrs in a game just to go "its okay i guess."
Harran quickly became a place for me to escape when things got rough. Villador does still too but theres something so special about Harran and its Countryside. I dont have words for it. I just *know*
I think its for many, the atmosphere in the game as almost unrivaled by any other zombie game so you can literally just hop in and listen this game as ASMR lmao
after getting volatile ending in following DLC it broke me
