@@Hummingbird_335Sort of(?) They're both incarnations of the god called Buer who is the 'Avatar' of Irminsul. It's like the Aranaras, they lose power and their memories are wiped effectively become an entirely different person.
Another thing worth noting about Neuvillette's character is that even though he does seem to respect humans and their values, it also seems like he tries to create a distance between him and humans, as shown in Lyney's voicelines. At first I thought this meant he was similar to Yae Miko where he looks down on humans, but it could also be the opposite. Even though he is stoic, he's also emotional. If the Hydro Dragon's sadness causes rain and Neuvillette is somehow related to it, this would further prove his emotional side. Maybe he knows that if he gets too close to humans and becomes attached, he will end up getting hurt. Especially with the kinds of cases that can go on in a courtroom. This is how I interpret ir at least. Can't wait to see what Hoyo will do with his character ✌️
This is very similar to my thought process on his characterization of him before I finished the archon quest! I feel like he's distancing himself while trying to fit in, so as to ease the tension of those he deals with. which is an interesting dilemma in terms of how to act and probably contributes to his awkwardness.
As it is known that it rains whenever there is a trial makes sense if he is the supposed hydro dragon. I think he chose to distance himself away from humans because of the increasing water levels and he does not want to cause the ruin of fontaine and hurt himself too in the process. Also remember when navia confronted him about her dad? She spouted things that could affect him emotionally. Once she left the building, it started raining even though there was no trial that day. This man knew about her dad's wish to die but of course navia's words still hurt him as he does care about her and the effects her dad's case had on her. Now he is between a rock in a hard place as the trials make him emotional but it is necessary for Fontaine to produce energy, but at the cost of him causing the water levels to rise. So he needs to make a big decision maybe in the following acts on which is more important for the sake of the nation as he has little trust in the actual archon. So yeah 😅
I've been thinking about his character a lot, and I think it's perfectly possible for the Hydro Sovereign have evolved and adapted to such an extent to look so close like a human. Plus, I don't really believe on the actual death of the hydro sovereign, since he would have probably flooded Teyvat and ended all possibility of life. I do believe in the sealing of his original body, for some reason or another and the seal was somewhat weakened or broke during the Khaen'riah siege, or he actually manage to "descend" around that time. He surely has the consciousness of a primordial being and there the "cane" the prophecy said the hydro dragon would have, albeit I think he didn't hurt his leg... At least I hope so. In your video you mentioned purity of water and that made me think about the Oceanids. Maybe the Hydro Dragon was the sire of them instead the hydro archon, since they do share many characteristics to Neuvillette (being overall gentle, having similar "shape" (on his case is his coat, but you get it), summoning rain when distressed as in Rhodeia's case, since she is always pretty upset lol). I caught up some hints in the Byakuyakoku collection that the Hydro Sovereign fell down TOGHETER with the people of Enkanomiya and I think the prophecy of his return ("descend") in a human form is more likely significant of some sort of evolution of self, since Orobashi noticed how those vishaps were awfully smart and able to learn REAL QUICK. Since water is canonically the original source of life of Teyvat probably before the Primordial One arrival, I do believe the Hydro Dragon is and was a gentle, pure and nurturing creature to the point of, as part of his evolution and adapting, getting curious about humans of the Unified Civilisation. And Orobashi probably tampered with the previous records and painted him as a threat. I may be, in the words of Chief Justice himself, utterly and decisively wrong. Another point about that. His "conceptions". I wonder if he thinks that "survival" is the driving force in just human's lives because they are mortal or because he knows death and despair way too closely. If he really is Scylla, then the mad attempt to go against the very flow of life may have had its toll on his understanding of law, logic and humanity itself. And if the Hydro Sovereign was indeed at Enkanomiya when it fell, he must have firstly experienced true despair on the constant cries and pleads for help of those people. For him, "survival" and "saving one's own life" was the core of mankind and was proved wrong. Maybe for him, laws and logic can be understandable, but nuances and complexity of humanity is still a complicated mystery. He seems to struggle even after so many centuries and therefore, maybe his closeness is much more recent. On another point, he seems to be rather familiar with distress and anguish, even comprehending "sadness" in his processing of emotions and thoughts to such an extent that the weather changes.
For those who don’t know (I’m only saying this because I do know and want to flex): Scylla is part of the Greek mythological duo Scylla and Caribdis. Caribdis was a living whirlpool that eats the ocean and spits it back out while her sister Scylla is a dragon in a rock nearby that ate ships and their passengers.
Am I the only one who sees the parallels Hoyo did with Neuvillette and Zhongli? Talking on the cliff edge, similar voice casting, being in a position of power, dressing similarly, having almost the same personality, knowing lots of things (due to being pretty old).... And isn't Zhongli the Geo Sovereign?
Pretty sure he isn't the Primordial one. He did say he is the Prime Adepti. Seeing that even Azhdaha ( who is most likely the Geo sovereign ) is older than him, he cannot be the Primordial. He's also from Teyvat because what happened to Sumeru affected him too and we all know the Primordial came from another world like the Traveller, who still rmbrs Rukkhadevata while ZL did not. @zaraki942
@zaraki942 I am sorry if I am getting anything wrong, but I don't think that the Primordial One is the Great Soverign. If I remember correctly, they are actually different people. The Great Soverign actually rule Teyvat before the Primodial One or Phanes arrive with Celestia and defeated the Soverign. That is why Celestia is consider outsider in the eyes of the Dragons and Vishaps. I think the reason why your theory was taken so badly is because of this knowledge. And it would make more sense if you propose the idea of Zhongli being the Great Soverign and was subdue by Celestia (hence the contracts that make him unable to say anything to the traveler) and are now serving under them. But others than that, your theory has a lot of potential. I might also have miss a few things there and there, and could be wrong. So feel free to correct me :)

aaaaaaaaaaaa I also want to mention. In islam, it is said that Jesus was born from the virgin Mary but the blessing of God. HOWEVER, we also say that he is fully human (only getting his powers my God's blessing and permission). So Neuvillette could be born from human mother and receive the blessing of a Dragon to give him his hydro powers

lore theorists: The dragon of Water will be reborn as a human lore theorists: Neuvillette is not a human lore theorists: therefore Neuvillette is the dragon of Water Well you're the only one addressing this problem. The incarnation thing isn't going to work because of course Jesus saw himself as human. And also a god. Just as Fichl sees herself as human. And also a god. Neither would have any issue understanding human motivations. That sort of thing is a trope of course so nobody says it's silly that eg Ganyu after living with humans for 3000 years in Liyue Harbor and being half human herself, still fails to understand how the humans around her appreciate and respect her. Therefore we won't comment and say Neuvillette after 400 years really ought to have got it by now. That's the trope. But only if he really isn't human. I guess he's probably something like an Oceanid (although so far they have all been female). We already know that 400 years ago in Fontaine Oceanids were able to get employed in human society even at top jobs like at the Narzissenkreuz Institute. Oceanids and humans seem linked socially but certainly see issues of life and death differently enough. The only real downside to this theory is that it means Childe got whooped by a mere Oceanid. I don't think that's so unlikely. Only the top 3 harbingers are god-like in power and Oceanids might just vary a lot in power level according to how many personalities they have in their Gestalt.

They lose the war against Celestia so some of them don't have the reason to stay hidden, and instead they adapt and evolve to blend in into the new empire that Celestia made.
I feel like they made it pretty obvious he was the hydro dragon with the rain stuff in the main quest.
There are hints points Noobellette as the Hydro Dragon 🐉
Git Gud pimp
I guess the chief justice might be a half blood and have scales on his meat 😂😂
What if he is a non archon god they are a thing right?
U mean the primordial one?
@@Dazaiburger like xiangling’s doll or orobaxi

Nah fam I knew he was a man the moment I read his statement on Nahida! My intuition has never failed me, I just knew. So when he was leaked in January and I was like “I freaking knew it!!”
But why his name ands in "ette" I still don't understand
@@stacy7721you do know fountaine is not a complete exact copy right? That means that how the French language works does not apply in Fontaine and the ette ending may not be solely feminine
@@Nara-tm5xz I dunno. I just don't like it
@@stacy7721because it's originally a surname/ named after a place, and Neuvillette is named after a character from a French play "Cyrano de Bergerac". It's like asking "then why is a person named Garcia a guy"
Because he is now human and dragon we need to show him the human way 😂 I like that. The Arcon just want to enjoy all the time before all her Humans turn into watter but because she is so focused on the she can't see that by helping the watter dragon she can break her curse. I am 85% sure that is going to be Fontains story. And so we are going to workt with the fatui lady.
Thanks for the video. Tarteglia is guilty because he fell in the ebis the machine is from selestia so like you said how do you explain humans low to a dragon. He doesn't understand it just like with versur and the father he doesn't understand. That's why he works with the dum child arcon. All that to say I like the Jesus theory France Italian well Europe is Jesus number 1 fans.
You meant the hydro otter🤣🤣🤣
a form of incarnation?
idk tho '>'
Makes me think Kokomi is the Electro Dragon instead
Nah, nonsense. Watch her be revealed to be the dendro dragon instead.
i like to think of her as a dragon foetus
Or lets delete kokomi when dosent look like dragon at all
She's based off a general, not a literal dragon I believe
She's a hydro dragoness of her region it runs on her blood.
You cooked
Sun and Moon
Male and Female
Neuvillette and Kokomi
Yang and Yin
Pneuma and Ousia
But if Neuvilette is theorized as the Hydro Dragon, how would that explain the massive dragon skeleton on Elynas? ;-;
The Melusine world quests answer that, Elynas is not an elemental dragon but an abyssal one like Durin
Elynas is an abyssal creation, not the hydro dragon
That massive skeletal structure belongs to Elynas. Same name as the place. He has an alien origin and was not originally from Teyvat (like Durin). Most likely one of those creations by Gold.
aaaaaaaaaaaa I also want to mention. In islam, it is said that Jesus was born from the virgin Mary but the blessing of God. HOWEVER, we also say that he is fully human (only getting his powers my God's blessing and permission). So Neuvillette could be born from human mother and receive the blessing of a Dragon to give him his hydro powers
Loved the theory but yanfei in a theory video is claim by an other and it seem weird that u use her too
Yes because Yanfei is an exclusive character that can only be used by one person to make a video
I believe Neuvillete popped out of elinyas (i believe I stated the name right). Melusines and Neuvi have strong sense of justice. I believe that Neuvi is the new hydro dragon born out of Elinyas's corpse.
Noobellette is the True Hydro Archon !!!

@@Demopans5990 haha, he was the first character i got wrong 😅 first thing i said " how can Venti be a boy??? On stream". I was sure i was being trolled
@@Z-FishInMyBreakfast well, when a boy is in stockings and strapon, I would still say its womans cloth. Have anyone seen a boy at age of 10 in stockings and strapons? To me, that is some kind of pedofile fantasy. Every priests dream in a way. Fashion is debatable. Some sick twisted guy in his adult years, came up with.. Its fashion. Small boy in woman`s cloth. You can hear how wrong?
How do people even know he is a dragon? The game doesn't even tell you this.
lore theorists: The dragon of Water will be reborn as a human
lore theorists: Neuvillette is not a human
lore theorists: therefore Neuvillette is the dragon of Water
Well you're the only one addressing this problem.
It said form of a human, not as a human, he has a Human form. And if you actually play the quest it's pretty clear he's the dragon.
(not even including leaked stuff)
"Form of a human". Does Neuvillette not have a human form? Sure doesn't look like an animal to me.
There's a prophecy in enkonomiya that the hydro dragon will be reincarnated in human form
@@2jb837 Honestly I'm getting tired of people reading leaks and then trying to pass them off as a lore theory. That appears to be what you're saying. Please don't. You're spoiling the game for the rest of us. Also of course leaks aren't even reliable as to final content.
@DavidJohnson-ib1dh I'm saying you don't need leaks to figure out he's the dragon, the archon quest makes it extremely clear to the players he is.
