9:51 Unfortunately, it's not possible to just avoid the cash shop and "enjoy the game for what it is" b/c the game is built around making you spend money. The devs intentionally made specific design decisions to cause strife and problems for players, and then they turned around and offered to sell you the solution. This is incredibly toxic game design and certainly shouldn't be supported, let alone rewarded. I spent about 30-ish hours on the game, got to the middle of Act 5 and quit. By the time I was in Act 3, and especially in Act 4, the sheer amount of worthless currency drops was so much that I would either have to spend hours trying to upgrade them at the alchemy table or buy the specific stash tab I would need to store them all w/o issue. Part of the reason for this is b/c the currency drops are intentionally split b/w regular versions and "exclusive" versions. You might be wondering what the difference b/w a regular currency drop and an "exclusive" currency drop is. Let me tell you -- not a damn thing. The ONLY reason for its existence is to take up additional space in your stash (b/c the two types do not stack and just about every currency type -- and there are literally dozens -- has an "exclusive" variant) and push you that much closer to the point where you *need* to buy a stash tab. I'm not even sure if I want to get into the issue of the rune essences and the god awful rates to actually roll a 3-link on your spell runes, let alone a 4-link and above. It is yet another way that the devs push you to spend money...ESPECIALLY b/c you can actually buy the rune essences for real money (real money -> diamonds -> rubies -> essences). This game is basically what you'd get if you wanted a half-assed version of Path of Exile with Diablo Immortal's level of toxic monetization. Skip this one if you don't want to spend money b/c being free-to-play is not something that is realistically possible.
This. Hope anyone who's interested to jump in will read this comment and steer clear. Ridiculous design but it was known how bad the game is for a long time, Koreans were complaining about the cash shop from the very beginning, and if Koreans find it too P2W then you know it's serious 🤡
I don't think enough was said on this review. You can directly buy currency and buy gear with it. It is 100% pay 2 win, not just some elements. The boss difficulty is to get you to buy ressurection scrolls. The rune system upgrade which provides insane power, is meant for you to purchase upgrades. Games whole system is to get you to spend money. Which to be fair is most mobile games. Is game fun? Yes ,it can be. But there needs to be a psa that this game is a have more fun if you pay the game more, crafting slots, alchemy slots. Coming from a player who spent $ also.
That's because Vulcan has become very soft and PEGI 12 with his reviews. Sugarcoating a lot. Game is a trash mobile Asian ARPG game with full on Asian P2W monetization. Not even worth installing if you're a PC player, no healthy person wants buying power for money in their ARPG 😅 Whole game is designed so that you can solve problems they've created with money. Disgusting.
I never rely on Vulkan for useful reviews. I mean I like his take on the games far as it goes but he NEVER gives the negatives. Basically you'd think every game he mentions is the next greatest game ever if you watch his videos.
I've noticed we have hit the point where so many people have click baited this as a p2w game that the game is actually failing now. It's amazing that the concept of inventory management is foreign to so many people. Literally the only thing you need in this game is stash tabs and if you were to buy them it would be about the cost of a 40 buck game for quality of life. As for resurection scrolls... Get good, learn what resistences are. Or of course you could instant rez yourself through all the bosses then cry about how the game forces you to buy them because you kept getting shit on by mechanics and lack of game knowledge. As for buying power on the auction house, you don't ever really need to do that, most of the unique are not all that great and it's more about links and stuff in build that you don't get access to till later anyways. Most people hit act 5 when ice mobs become a problem then quit and run to reddit or youtube to bitch about how the game is harder to make you buy rez scrolls.
@@Mayhamsdead Holy necromancy. I mean I never actually bought stash tabs and got to end game playing the game. But yes I guess I did kinda suggest it. Because at the end of the day you should expect to spend something on a game you play made by a company. The game is F2p with money spent for convenience, or you could just not and move the hell on. FFS why do people get so mad when a company puts an optional way for them to make some money off a product they put out for people to partake in. People want free 2 play, with all the bell sand whistles so much, yet they forget that companies don't make this shit just so you can have something to do. They expect to make money off the game in some type of way and people actually do spend said money, or companies wouldn't continue to put out this model. FOH. You don't even need to buy all the stash tabs at end game to have the inventory management to play it. But that is neither here or there since this game isn't very relevant anymore anyways.
To be fair, if you are just slamming birth essence on gear then you did not read how the other essence work and how you can be very deterministic in your crafting. Also you do not need "crafting slots" to craft gear, as far as "crafting slots" are concerned it is for the alchemy bench for combining runes/essences, upgrading runes to higher tier one, and making potions.
I think I had saw some gameplay footage for this that looked good but all the steam reviews say this is an overly monetized cash grab at its worse. So after seeing that not even going to bother.
I am currently on last boss act10 out of 10 and didn't spend any money on it, the bosses are challenging but if you learn mechanics you beat them without scrolls. If you need to buy stash space before end game you doing something wrong for sure. Story is very good I wouldn't call it perfect but is good. People are calling this game shit cause they are stuck on act 5 boss or they did t even play it. Item shop is not that bad comparing it to lost ark. Wow you can play the game as a f2p stop saying you can't. I know people in high end game and they just spent money on stash tabs. Rootkit right what about the other games, they are doing it as well. Nprotect is known for years. They already did a removal app and people are still complaining
It is a good game *BUT* the cash shop is extremely OP. $10 for 28 days of pet ability use, that's even if you *buy a pet* from the shop. You must still pay for using its ability every 28 day's.Thats just one of many examples.
You almost sold the game to me but having to use a rare currency to even know what the affixes on an item are an having partially revealed items sounds extremely frustrating. This is a loot based game so presumably the further you get, the higher the drop rate of what is effectively garbage gear that you can at best sell for some currency or other, meaning you can easily end up wasting a large amount of your rare currency on trash. And when you try to cut your losses and don't use more than a little currency on gear that already has 2/5 mediocre affixes or something you can easily miss out on gear, useful gear that makes up by having 3 strong affixes or such but you will never know cause you are forced to save as much of the affix revealing currency as possible since it's rare. I've played games like this and it can easily kill most of the fun of finding new loot.
