I want BF2142 back, i was sad when it got discontinued, it was hands down the best BF game. I would like a remaster but they'd end up doing a remake instead and just like the FF7 remake it just would be the same.
I'm a tanker in the US Army and I have to say, just from the glimpse of it, the level of detail on that Abrams is immaculate. What really stood out to me is the track section hanging from the bustle rack, the bustle rack extension, the burrito rolls, and the green 7 skirt. Especially thay green 7 skirt. Our tanks are right? So you'd think every time we order a 7 skirt, it would be tan. WRONG. It's ALWAYS green, and we never paint them. I also hope they fixed the skirt movement from BF4. The skirts dont flap around on the real thing. Theyre all secured to each other, and they swing out, not up and down.
Same here, it looks fine but we've been through this before one too many times, I'm not giving EA a dime until after I see a stable launch & good design choices

Yep, they had regular soldiers in the trailers with Specialists in the background and then had a press release after-the-fact that admitted there would be unique characters instead of normal soldiers. They hid all the bad ideas before and they can certainly do it all over again.

The running animation and the very skinny bodies make it seem like you're playing as a young girl running around carrying around a foam gun that virtually seems to have no weight to it 😂
With stuff like Hell Let Loose, Squad or now Arma Reforger, we have so many games with team-focused combined arms gameplay, that a new BF has to deliver a really awesome experience to win me over again.

Dice/EA has dropped the ball many times in recent years, and it's clear that their fancy trailers and promises cannot be trusted. If Dice and EA pull similar crap to what they have in the past few games, then they should be punished for it. Being cautious and not pre-ordering is one way to ensure they stick to a high quality game that delivers on release (or else they will feel the wrath of capitalism.. which is the only language EA really understands). Be our champion. Preach the "don't pre-order" rule.

I’m really glad to see them go back to a more grounded timeline of warfare. I’m really tired of not recognizing or connecting with things in my shooters. The last 10 years or more has either been going back in time to ww1, ww2, or going so far in the future. I wanna use guns that you see today that have been in the wars we’ve seen for the last 20 years. It’s just easier to connect to those kinds of wars. BF3 was always my favorite because how close it got to the wars we grew up living in.
I think for every decade they could release two BF like 3 and 4, and left one for something like WW2 and Hardline. But since BF4, we had Hardline, BF1 BF5 and 2042. Four games without the original Battlefield formula. I understand why so many people still play BF4.
I can agree with you on everything but bf1. At this point bf1 still has almost double as many monthly players as bf4 on steam. And bf1 arguably has one of the best atmospheres of any battlefield game, maybe other than bf3. Bf1 definitely has the "Battlefield" formula even though it was a different style.
The artstyle/etc looks amazing and I don't want to understate that, but what _really_ has my attention is that they're starting off with basically a successor to BF4's CTE (but before launch) and that David Sirland, the lead guy behind CTE, is also back! I was very involved in the CTE and it really was one of the absolute best time periods for BF as a series. :)
2:19 i hate video games tactical sprint, when running with full kit on i either grab my rifle from the railing and hold it under my arm or in combat scenario i hold my foregrip/railing and lower receiver. More control and can quickly get back to aiming.

The soldiers in the gameplay sound British and the kit also looks similar to British Army uniforms so as a Brit it’s a nice to finally play a modern British soldiers who aren’t special forces instead of American marines in every modern combat game

They split this game up across the world across multiple studios, some who have failed in the past. While dice is making the core multiplayer experience, they aren't making any of the maps
Unless it's like Battlefield 2 (2005) combined with some newer stuff, unless it has 6-player squads, voice comms, 8 classes, commander mode, MOD support, PC-centric gameplay, a ton of destruction, LARGE MAPS, 128 players, feeling like you're fighting in an actual military, no women soldiers and NO SKINS....I'm skipping this as I skipped every battlefield after 2011.
I think with the result of how 128 players went in 2042 that they said they were just gonna focus on 64 players from now on (I could be mistaken but I could’ve swore I heard that awhile back which is why they started making smaller maps later in 2042’s lifecycle)
@@batt1efire390 The issue really wasn't the number of players but the game and maps. There's plenty of games out now that support 128 players+ and they work just fine. If they made a good game with good maps 128 players would be fine but unfortunately they don't have clue as all the talent left DICE years ago.

@ I'm fine with 64 players then, if everything else I mentioned was added as well. Mod support I am absolutely certain will not be added, as they cannot allow people to make a better BF game and they can't milk it as much.

I’m really glad to see them go back to a more grounded timeline of warfare. I’m really tired of not recognizing or connecting with things in my shooters. The last 10 years or more has either been going back in time to ww1, ww2, or going so far in the future. I wanna use guns that you see today that have been in the wars we’ve seen for the last 20 years. It’s just easier to connect to those kinds of wars. BF3 was always my favorite because how close it got to the wars we grew up living in.

I think for every decade they could release two BF like 3 and 4, and left one for something like WW2 and Hardline. But since BF4, we had Hardline, BF1 BF5 and 2042. Four games without the original Battlefield formula. I understand why so many people still play BF4.
I can agree with you on everything but bf1. At this point bf1 still has almost double as many monthly players as bf4 on steam. And bf1 arguably has one of the best atmospheres of any battlefield game, maybe other than bf3. Bf1 definitely has the "Battlefield" formula even though it was a different style.

The artstyle/etc looks amazing and I don't want to understate that, but what _really_ has my attention is that they're starting off with basically a successor to BF4's CTE (but before launch) and that David Sirland, the lead guy behind CTE, is also back! I was very involved in the CTE and it really was one of the absolute best time periods for BF as a series. :)
2:19 i hate video games tactical sprint, when running with full kit on i either grab my rifle from the railing and hold it under my arm or in combat scenario i hold my foregrip/railing and lower receiver. More control and can quickly get back to aiming.
I just don’t think it’s a fun mechanic. It means you need to make maps and sight lines bigger, but now your guns are less responsive.

The soldiers in the gameplay sound British and the kit also looks similar to British Army uniforms so as a Brit it’s a nice to finally play a modern British soldiers who aren’t special forces instead of American marines in every modern combat game

Update, watch the full video. They split this game up across the world across multiple studios, some who have failed in the past. While dice is making the core multiplayer experience, they aren't making any of the maps

Unless it's like Battlefield 2 (2005) combined with some newer stuff, unless it has 6-player squads, voice comms, 8 classes, commander mode, MOD support, PC-centric gameplay, a ton of destruction, LARGE MAPS, 128 players, feeling like you're fighting in an actual military, no women soldiers and NO SKINS....I'm skipping this as I skipped every battlefield after 2011.
I think with the result of how 128 players went in 2042 that they said they were just gonna focus on 64 players from now on (I could be mistaken but I could’ve swore I heard that awhile back which is why they started making smaller maps later in 2042’s lifecycle)
@@batt1efire390 The issue really wasn't the number of players but the game and maps. There's plenty of games out now that support 128 players+ and they work just fine. If they made a good game with good maps 128 players would be fine but unfortunately they don't have clue as all the talent left DICE years ago.
@@christiankingston8218 oh I totally agree but that was mainly what I was saying lol the way they made the maps and handled 128 players just wasn’t good and 64 players on 2042 felt a lot more grounded than 128 but they could possibly try 128 in this new bf game I just hope they support it with good maps and good map controlling and doesn’t feel like you gotta walk forever to either die or get a few kills yk
@ I'm fine with 64 players then, if everything else I mentioned was added as well. Mod support I am absolutely certain will not be added, as they cannot allow people to make a better BF game and they can't milk it as much.
@@AgeofPC I will say mod support would be amazing as well as a commander, prox chat as well as possibly radio chat (like arma), and overall just good gameplay and good classes that makes each class actually feel unique, fun, and useful

Every time theres a time for a new BF, comes video like this, full of FALSE PROMISES, AND FALSE HOPE, and than they fail to DELIVER. Lets see what happens this year. How much they did not learn from last couple of games.
This is the footage everybody will be looking back on and saying 'what happened' once Santa Claus and pink farting unicorns start dominating the battlefield in season 4
The fact that they didn't tragically fumble once, but twice in a row should show you the direction this game is going in
