Thank you, again, for showing me so much love in my last upload! I am officially going to be a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner and I am thrilled!! In today's video I share WHY I chose dermatology as a specialty area or work in over women's health/ obstetrics. In the next video i'll discuss HOW i made the switch.

You are so right about skin reflecting the state of a person’s health. About a year before I was diagnosed with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy, my skin broke out in the worst acne of my life. Cysts. So awful. I was 50. Insane. I also started breaking out in rashes when I got stressed. Also exzema. It was absolutely bizarre. Turns out my kidney function had declined and my heart was not pumping well. Thankfully I’m doing well now.
My father’s back was covered with new miles and he was incredibly itchy. He had pancreatic cancer.

It’s so inspiring to see a woman of color living her dreams. This video was very informative. I’m going into L&D (which happens to be my dream job) since I’ve always been passionate about women’s health. Interestingly enough…. I’m also interested in dermatology in general because there’s just so much to learn. Thank you for sharing!!
I love this! I have a similar path to you as well. Hugeee advocate for Womens health . I have been an L/D for the past 4 years and am graduating this fall with my FNP. I am currently working in the plastic surgery setting and plan to transition into the plastics+ aesthetics /dermatology field.

This is WHAT I WILL DO. I worked insane hours to build up cash and I want to be happy. I was about to enter CRNA but I hate critical care. I am very artistic. I like peace. I actually feel joy when I think about derm and aesthetic. I can’t wait. This motivated me!!!!
Can’t imagine you not being a Derm NP. Your skin is like a walking advertisement for a high-end skin regimen. I don’t have the best skin, I’m so glad my daughter got her daddy’s skin.

I’m a labor RN I love women’s health but I’d love to do dermatology. You give me hope lol wasn’t sure if I would be good at Fnp after being obsessed with women’s health

It's funny I had4 MAJOR skin problems and I was so stressed it also effect your mental health. I am torn between dermatology and psych track. So I understand how you feel.

Can u make a video on why u didnt want to be a midwife anymore? I am going through the same thing.... i really thought God wanted me to be a midwife... but now I think i wanna go into derm. Im currently an L&D nurse ❤️
