Before you get carried away, lower the top wishbones about 5/8 of an inch and make sure you have HR lower wishbones. They have HR stamped near the shocker holes. Then you will have RTS!! HD lower wishbones are 1/2 shorter, the reason HDs are Highly Dangerous. HD springs too are taller, HR ride height is at least an inch lower. And have a 7/8 front sway bar made, that alone helps on turn in.
Use HQ uprights and calliper/ rotor so as to actually have decent brakes. Callipers [use PBR] go to the front and you have to cut away a bit where the callipers hit on lock. Need 14" wheels
This is a job I have done numerous times in the distant past. And it is chalk and cheese the way they drive

      Great advice. Thanks.
I have another front end with this done to it, that I am looking forward to using on another project. It’s for a V8.

I will look at doing this on the red and Grey motor front ends.

    Hey Scotty,
Have you done a video on setting up the control arms on the HR front end?

looks good i like the extra bar inside the x member for strength
always liked the fe over the fc grill
i had a ute years ago i put a eh column in it its shorter than the fe column
better steering and it was easy to put the ej gearbox in and keep the column shift
curious as to why you are keeping the drum brakes over putting disc"s?🙂😉

I’m having HQ discs on the red motor powered Ute. Drums on the grey motor powered Wagon.

Scotty... why didn't you give it all that suspension stuff to me to powder coat for you? Rob AKA SLY250

It was easier, at the time to just paint it all.
