Hey Mike, you’re right lessons like this would’ve helped us big time back in the day. But we are having fun as old-timers. Also good to hear from you Mike. Thanks.👍
@@rustysguitar1 Hi Rusty, great songs to practice. That's the whole reason for learning guitar for me, to play the songs I grew up with. I've already filled up 3 notebooks with Songs, how to play and lyrics to sing along to. Very good for de-stressing and overall fun. Thanks 😊 Peace Rusty.
Wow Rusty, you've excelled yourself this time! Before it was Jimmy Page & Eric Clapton, now Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Joe Walsh. Just need Carlos Santana & you've covered all my favourite guitar players! Excellent lesson & explained so thoroughly & yet so easy to understand. I've been looking for lessons like these for the last 50 years! Don't stop - I may turn into a decent player one day! Thanks once again.
Another great lesson, Rusty! Joe Walsh said he had to invent a "lead/rhythm" style because he was the only melodic instrument. This is the chunk-a-chunk muted sounds between chords. He replaced the original guitarist in the James Gang. They were a 5 piece band, until one day, while traveling by car to Detroit to open for Cream, two members quit. In order to do the gig, Joe had to play AND sing for the first time.
I love this story, Roger! I learned something new! Joe Walsh is a big part of rock music, history! I love it! Thanks for checking out the lesson and have a great weekend😎
I’m certainly glad we live in a digital age. I would have burned up the tape hitting rewind on these lessons, like I did with albums and 8 tracks in high school. I play these lessons over and over, I’m getting soooo much valuable info, especially for a beginner like me. A lot of it is a stretch, but it’s good to have goals. This is so awesome, thank you Rusty for all you do!
Thanks so much Dave for taking the time to watch my lessons! I definitely wore out the recordings back in the day trying to learn stuff for sure. But most the time I only had a small portion of it right. But the older I get the more I love playing these old classic tunes! Most of these lessons even a beginner will get something to take away. Good to hear from you Dave and have a great weekend.👍
This video has only been up one day & you already have 108 comments. That's some going. Just shows how good your lessons are & how much they are appreciated. Thanks Rusty.
Rusty, here I am. I designed a nightly chord exercise for myself and this is my dessert. 7 days in a week. 7 notes. Scales, chords, and arpeggios, oh my!
Right on Rusty! Rhythm is my bread and butter, not are you only a great lead player but your Rhythm is spot on too😊 love it. Thanks for all your lessons, you simplified jo Walsh for me

Great job Rusty...keeping it clean and simple. I'de rather play less that's clean than fast and cruddy. At 59 and playing since 1979, I beat myself up when I feel I'm overstretching.
