- I'm a home hobby guitarist and I made this video for one friend. As of early January 2022 I have an unexpected 9,000 views. If I had known it would be popular I would have polished it up! Hope you find it helpful.

That was phenomenal, chord tones, caged theory, triads , harmonization, and Jimi Hendrix style in a synopsis of simplicity. Thank Youn Sir!!
Sooo good. Perhaps the best Hendrix tutorial out there. Brilliant demonstration showing how to link all the various chord shapes
John this was amazing! I've been puting all of this to practise for the last hour and i couldnt stop smiling while playing. Thank you very much!
This is really good, covers pretty much everything in a nice slow pace. Just what a student need. Well done.
💯🔥🔥🔥 Well said. I couldn't agree more!
Nicely done. Just enough theory to help it make sense.
You did it in a way that others should have done. So great!!
This video is the best I’ve seen for Hendrix style rhythm. Thank you
One of the best Hendrix chord videos I have seen, and I've seen a lot! Thanks so much. Please post more of this type of video. Brian is fantastic, and I am a member, but a lot of what he plays is way too fast for me!
This is a superb video, well paced and easy to follow, well done !! More of the same pls 👍👍
Thanks John! God bless!
Excellent video ...
You lay it out perfectly!
Nice job, John. Nice breakdown so Keep teaching - it works!
Relaxed and efficient presentation skills. A rare skill in RUclips land. Subbed, good sir.

Thanks for putting all those jacks in their boxes. Now it makes sense.

Excellent Sir.How about Hendrix embellishments inCAGED Minor shapes? Thank You.
Learned so much here Thank you sir for this lesson.
One of the first examples I've seen explaining the benefits of caged. A lot to absorb, but here it is! They sound beautiful as well!
PEACE from Philadelphia
Playing several instruments and but best on the keys, I'm semi-retired from public performance so, I'm polishing up on the guitar, because I have recently invested in two new ones, a Fender Jazz Master Acousti-Sonic and an Ibanez Steve Vai White Stallion PIA, so your video is going to really help me improve my leads and I'm sure plenty other players too. Your slow pace is sure better than trying to follow some one's lightning licks. ROFL Thanks! I have originals under Ricky L Richards
Excellent lesson.
This has really helped me understand more thank you so much, I can't believe you don't have more views on this!
Very well explained; nice and slow. I'm going to get a lot from this. Thank you!

Great lesson, thanks
Lotta meat , no carbs love it !
well put
Thanks for the video ‼️
Great tutorial John little nuggets indeed
These kinds of videos are of the more fun variety 👍 I find embellishments and such in guitar tabs pretty hard to read, and those are really fun to know.
Question for right-handed guitarists: Got to thinking since I'm a lefty, the guy on the screen faces his frets towards mine, do you "righties" think it could be faster/easier to learn if the image was flipped? That would then be the one perk a lefty has 😂 And also, someone making instructional guitar videos could then upload two versions of the same video since flipping the image horizontally is literally one mouse click to do in editing software.
Thanks bro.
That's a lot to chew on. Thanks.
S.D in a B ジョンメイヤーも使ってるね。勉強になった。
Do you have a course website or book? Or tabs?
Is this E a CAGED shape ( G type ) ?
Have Never heard of CAGED ? ---What on earth is it ?
Huh / THE G shaped E chord ? What does it look like --have you any TABS to show these chords ?
And you play a MAJOR pentatonic over this chord ? Why ?( 2 : 32 )
Dude, drink a cup of coffee or two.
