Thank you. Double stops are so cool. Beginning player who has been noodling on and off for years, but has gotten easily discouraged. This is such an intuitive way to play. Thank you, thank you!
I’ve seen a lot of lessons of this JH style for this song but couldn’t get the right way of hammering and pulling of the strings idea until I see this video to be honest. Thanks a lot to you bro for showing it in a very detailed manner. I’m so thankful to you for being a great guitar teacher. Cheers bro.
I’ve watch quite a lot of tutorials offering that to do the same thing, this Is by far the easiest at least for me to understand and make sense of so kudos to you 👍
Came here to spice up my rythm playing so I went with Jimmi and mate your vids are awesome to the point but easy to follow even great lengths all in all thanks mate definitely subscribed now
FRELIX, listen to a lot of Jimi Hendrix bass players bass lines because they aren't playing the root note of the chord tone. He made a lot of albums with billy cox which hendrix started using different root notes for the bass players bass lines which you can make video lessons about. Jimmy Page would use this trick because eddie kramer told him about it which zeppelin also uses unusual bass lines at certain spots
@@HighVybeTribe yes true but it would be nice to have video lessons pointing out the sections when it happens. I know GNR the bassist mostly uses the 4th instead of the root, which I'm not sure why. Hendrix later albums after 69 has a lot of studio tracks with the bassline using different roots
Thank you :) The intro song is something I wrote, kinda like a intro song to the channel. A few people have asked me to make a lesson on it so I may do that at some point :)
Thanks for your replay man! New subscriber here. The intro song is great and the last cascade notes are killer! Plus I really enjoy your videos! Bless you man! 🤟
This is amazing, i stumbled on to your lesson, and i tell you all these lights went off , holy montypython...you just got me out off a rutt and no body else was getting across on the internet..what you so simply showed..man im diving in....sounds so good on a 60s tele...thank you. Be well. One love
Thanks Darren! It’s really great to know that the video has helped you get out of a rut :) I’m glad that it was helpful and make sure you have a look at the other Hendrix videos in the series. There’s quite a few and more on the way :)
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’ve done a few Hendrix videos showing you how to do the same kind of ideas for different chord shapes so make sure you check them out 👍🏻
Thanks so much for this...my first time watching one of your videos. I appreciate the variety of ways to play it that you demonstrated as well as the "Hey Joe" reference, as this is the first Hendrix song I'm trying to learn. Well done, you've earned a new subscriber.
Very Nice lesson, my Friend! As a big fan of JH, undoubtedly the best 11:11 minutes that I’ve spent this morning. Great pacing, great info! I just subscribed. Keep Up the Great Work! 👍🎸✌️😎
Hi. I used a Kemper profiler for this video. I use one for all of my filming as it makes it easier for sound but also sounds great :) The amp profile was a divided by 13 at a medium gain for the valve breakup crunch sound. You could get a similar sound from a tube amp cranked a bit or a clean amp with an overdrive pedal(tube screamer or similar) set with a medium/low gain. Hope that helps :)
Your, the Great exponent of the - legend..., who's the best rough out of tune player I've ever known'' who was well known for his ghost chords' '' 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Thank you! For the guitar sound I’m using a Kemper Profiler with a ‘Trainwreck’ amp profile. You can get a similar sound by either cranking the gain on your amp or using a light overdrive or fuzz though 😃
OMG. I've waited my life long for this mystery to be revealed, and I'm a young child of the 60s. Chur Bro.
Thanks! I’m glad it helped :)
Chur . Must be a kiwi 😂

Thanks! Sure, you can get the TAB here:

@@FretlixGuitar Wow!Thank you!The PDF is very cool!(but the the fret of C/E should be 5th fret)
@@kurtweng Im glad you like it and well spotted - The PDF has been amended 👍🏻 Thanks! Ryan

Thanks! Glad you like it :)
This video hits the main points, but it leaves out the crucial glissando Hendrix uses as he slides between frets to get that silky flow.
I echo the comments below. Brilliant teaching and pace to understand. Many thanks. Now subscribed

I’ve been playing guitar for about a year and a half now I’m not even good, but in my mind, I’m the best guitarist in the world
Love it! It’s awesome to have confidence and love playing guitar :)
Don’t lie to the people. I am the best guitarist in the world.
ok apologies --C MAJOR CHORD is same as A minor --so the scales are identical --sorry I forgot -!
That’s the one :)
Sounds great, are you using a fuzz pedal?
Thank you! For the guitar sound I’m using a Kemper Profiler with a ‘Trainwreck’ amp profile. You can get a similar sound by either cranking the gain on your amp or using a light overdrive or fuzz though 😃
😂Nicely Done ✅ Man
Thanks!
You and me, too!
❤ the lesson, but the guitar tone sounds too dirty.
Woah there @ 3: 28---you are playing the A minor pentatonic---not a MAJOR scale as you stated !--why ?
C over E? It will always be C 1st inversion to me.
It could be either. I tend to use C over E or C/E for teaching as it’s more commonly used and is seen in more chord charts :)
First!
I’m so proud of you
too much talking not enough action, boring.
That’s what my wife says!
@@FretlixGuitar 🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
The tone on your rig sounds bad, to me. Very muddy.
Youre confusing muddy, with the sound of tube breakup
Great lesson. Thank you
