This is the business Giorgio - and again perfect for you and Sarah on the ebike . It’s got good gravel aswell as road . We needed a bit of sun - definitely didn’t want to come home 😅
Thanks ever so much Mark 🙏 - that’s massively motivating for us💯👍. We loved our holiday in Tenerife - and as you can see it’s a very beautiful and unique climb. And next week we’ll show a beautiful and contrasting adventure. The ebike has been transformational in helping us explore together - and for sure plenty more to come 💯
It sure was a lucky last minute decision, Pierre-Alain 💯🍀 - and thanks ever so much. The island is beautiful, and very accessible to explore whether by bike or e-bike (roads are great, and the motorists considerate). Teide is provides lots of contrast, and beautiful views (especially at the top), and next week you’ll see the north west corner of the Island, and Masca, which is sublime - very Jurassic 🤩
Our pleasure, Larry 💯 And thanks ever so much 🙏 - we were super lucky to get away for a bit of winter sun and climbing - and hope you get some amazing adventures of your own soon 👍
Loved it! Stunning images of you riding through those landscspes combined with the story telling of the highs and lows of your adventures through the holiday! Glad you found that last bar and kind hospitality. Fantastic viewing 👌
Cheers Craig 🙏 and hope all is well, Sir ! As you can see I adored it there - incredible landscapes and climbing - and very varied - next Sunday we show Masca, which is very different - Jurassic and sublime 🤩. He people in that cafe were incredible - really welcoming to all cyclists and went above and beyond 👌
Wonderful video Phill, with some simply stunning landscapes. Also brilliant to see Jayne just tapping it out on the e-bike with you on the ride. Must be fantastic that Jayne can join you in these rides and enjoy them as well. And have noticed all foreign cafes have a cafe cat 🤔😀 As for that solo climb it looked truly emotional. superb that you did deep and made the top. As for the decent that looked painful, but at least the wonderful cafe owner came to your rescue with the heater. Thanks for sharing the 'holiday' 😉 Phill.
Thanks ever so much Tony 🙏 - this is truly a beautiful Island to explore, with loads of contrasting nature and views 🤩 Next week we’ll show the sublime Masca - which is very Jurassic, and another cycling paradise on the Island. It’s been incredible the discovery of the e-bike, and whilst Jayne doesn’t come on all the rides, its a game changer that we can have little adventures together and she can sample so much of the scenery available to us cyclists. The climb via San Miguel taught me - re taught me to take the fuelling more seriously - was a bad bonk just after Vilaflor - with another 12km to go…. 🥵 Always a pleasure to see the resident feline in any Spanish or Greek cafe … I know you’re more of a dog man though 😁
Thanks ever so much James 🙏 - and for sure Tenerife is an incredible place for an adventure - so much contrast in the landscape, geology … and weather 😅. Was a pleasure to make the video 💯
Epic Phil. I always love how Jayne is happy to be the action cam e-mule whilst you throw down the watts and blue steel at the rear. Great work all round guys. Looks like a prime location for both training and R&R
Thanks ever so much Calum 🙏 - hope all is good for you and the kids 👍. Yep - the ebike is a game changer to help us explore together …… and Jayne is pretty cool about letting me … accidentally place a camera on her 🤣. Definitely an amazing place for a family holiday, and a bit ….lot … of cycling 😁
I was thinking of you often - it literally is climbing heaven 🤩. Where else can you get upto 45km of continuous ascent and also just by turning off the roads super steep for 3-4km (in winter !!) Definitely one to revisit.
Wow that looked fantastic Phil - epic scenery, epic climbing and some much needed sun. And those roads look perfect compared to the pot hole invested roads back here in the uk lol
Cheers Simon 🙏 - it’s a fantastic Island to explore - so much contrasting terrain and views - and lovely smooth roads. I adored it 💯. Next week we show the contrasting Masca region - very Jurassic 🤩. And yep - boy did I need a bit of sun ☀️!!
Cheers, Craig 🙏 - super kind of you 👍. And for sure - the trip was amazing, as you can see Teide itself provides a lot of Route options and contrasts, and next week we’ll show Masca which is very different and very very beautiful - definitely worth a visit 💯
Just did that climb from Los Cristianos- Parador Hotel/ El Teide the day before yesterday! The way up was hell for me but the nature up there was an amazing reward for that effort!
I rode Teide with some friends for the first time in November and can feel your pain with the cold on the way down. The first descent I did we had to make a similar stop in Vilaflor to warm up and what a great cafe that is
Agreed, Daniel - it’s an incredible climb and an amazing cafe with really lovely people 💯👌 Yes - I massively underestimated how quickly the weather can turn (after such lovely weather the day before ) - the descents really did need the gilet and winter gloves 😅 Hope you get back out for some good adventures soon 👍
Thanks ever so much Bruno 🙏 - and thats very kind of you to say so. I found I got better as the days went by (and I fuelled correctly 😅) - and absolutely our pleasure for posting. Next week we show the North West of the Island, Masca - which is simply sublime 🤩
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy I’ve never been to Tenerife but your video just made me want to visit - and after seeing the next part you mentioned I’ll probably be even more inclined to do so. Don’t forget to also visit Portugal someday I’m sure you’ll feel welcome too 👍🏻
Thanks Brian 🙏 - massively appreciated. It’s an incredible island to explore - so much contrast and beauty - especially towards the top of Teide. And the Barraquito Complete is extraordinarily good - pure rocket fuel 😋 . The batteries are generally amazing - albeit on the Granadilla Climb at the end - it did drain too fast
It’s an incredible place to explore and enjoy a few mini adventures, Pete - I highly recommend it. Something for everyone whether long shallow climbs with beautiful views, or shorter and steeper - plus next week we will show a contrasting part of the island called Masca -which is simply sublime 🤩. Great video Phil! 👍🏼 I got some serious flashbacks watching this having climbed all the various routes up to Teide you shared in the video. October and November are my favourite months to cycle in Tenerife ☀️ thanks for sharing
Thanks ever so much DJ 🙏 - and our pleasure for sharing. It’s an incredible island isn’t it 💯 - and next week we show the north west corner and the sublime climbs in and around Masca 🤩. Appreciate the heads up on October and November - I can imagine the weather is perfect 👌
Thanks ever so much 🙏 It’s a sublime part of the world - absolutely adored it 🤩. And this Sunday we release the video showing the north west of the Island, Masca - which is contrasting, sublime and Jurassic 👌
Brilliant - loved this one Phil. Spent 9 years taking students to Tenerife on a field course. All before I found cycling. We we based ourselves in Guimar and Arafo at the foot of the mountain. Makes me think I should go back over with my bike. Good work.
Thanks ever so much Jonathan 🙏 - and if you’ve not been back to cycle, you’ll love exploring by bike 🤩 - wonderful roads, considerate motorists, beautiful contrasting terrain and views. On Sunday we show the Masca region of the Island - switchback heaven and very different to Teide. Definitely get back out there 💯
Beautiful video Phill, what a lovely holiday you had. Weather could have been a tad bit better, but at least you stuck to the "Not a training camp!" Love these times of the year where outside riding is back again, gets me excited for the outdoor rides I have planned for this year!
Thanks ever so much Ian - and for sure i returned excited about the group rides nearer to home 💯 You’ll see we got good weather for a couple of other rides in the very different North West of the Island, Masca - which is sublime - steep and Jurassic 🤩 And promise…. it wasn’t a training camp… probably … 🤣
Absolutely fantastic video The best yet i have seen about Climbing Teide , I was like WTF when i first saw Jayne cruising up the climb until i saw the motor :) :) Well done that's a tough few days Chapeau Sir & Jayne
🤣 Joe - the Barraquito Complete would actually make a very very nice rocket fuel for the bottle …. nice plan 😋 Teide is a very lovely climb from all directions - and when you see Masca next week, that provides an amazing contrast - steep, super pretty and Jurassic 🤩 - but tough !
Ha I love the very nature of coincidence. I've just ridden GranGuanche gravel so it was with great amusement that I saw someone kitted up with gear in your video and turns out he was riding the road edition. 😀 Naturally I watch your video and wish myself back there =)
Thanks BikepackingAdventures 🙏 - congrats on completing the GranGaunche !! I’m sure it would have been super challenging - off road with all the climbing 💪. I too love Tenerife - and will be back soon
Cheers Paul 🙏 - and for sure on that San Miguel climb, I under-fuelled and underestimated the impact of the steep ramps having been already climbing for quite some time - and was pretty cooked indeed on that day 🥵. Loved my time in Tenerife, and we have a lovely contrasting video showing the sublime Jurassic Masca next week - so plenty more to come 💯
Wonderful video Phill and Jane!!Looks like you had an amazing time on your 'Holiday Camp' Phill, stunning views once again! Warm sunshine is very much a cyclists friend and I hope to find some in early April in Mallorca with the club. 4 days to cram in some cycling!! ☀️☀️☀️☀️⛰🚴♂️💨
It was very much …errr not .. a training camp Wayne… Scoutt’s honour 🤣. Was incredible to get a bit of sun on the face, and super pleased your own adventure is looming fast on the horizon 🤩 I’d very much recommend a winter holiday with family and some cycling on the Island - something for everyone 👌. And as ever cheers 🥂
Nice one. I must say Phill you did look bloody cold and that is an understatement I would say. maybe next time you will take a Gillet with you lovely views and the road looks spot-on! 👍
Cheers Nick 🙏 - and yep, the day before, it was so nice at the top, I underestimated how cold it could turn (and how quickly) - so thought my GABA would suffice 😅 And for sure, it’s a wonderful place to explore, something for everyone, and beautiful roads and vistas 🤩
Incredible video mate, looks amazing there and really felt your pain with the near bonk and hypothermia. What an amazing place to ride your bike though, looks prehistoric!
You see now my ability to make both climbing and descending a trial of man vs mountain, Nick 🤣 But yep - proper underestimated just how variable the climate is at the top… was lovely the day before 😅 It’s not Snowdonia pretty - but its very very striking, and the top of Teide is simply unique - plus as you’ll see, Masca next weekend is another contrast - very steep and Jurassic 🤩
Thanks Joshua 🙏 - massively appreciated as ever 💯. I completely underestimated just how quickly the weather can change at the top of Tiede - and for sure I was absolutely gibbering 🥶 🤣
Top man.. you dug deep to warrior status mate 💪💪💪 last time I was there was 2017 in September… heat was the biggest factor 35-37c at the lower levels.. I wouldn’t swap the heat for the cold by the way lol …chapeau phil 💪💪💪😄 cracking decent after, Froomedog top tubing action most of the way 👌
Cheers Kris 🙏 - that day was definitely a bit of a struggle - in part due to under-eating 🥵 Those temps down low would certainly sap the energy - but I’m guessing pretty pleasant as you got higher 💯. The descent from Teide to Chio is something else - loads of straight, wide roads with perfect tarmac - even I got up to good speeds ! 🤣
Oh my God Phil, it was a great video mate, many thanks. I watched incredible images. By the way the route was legendary. And my sister jane rode a bike with you, congratulations. Phil, your biceps look very strong :))) 💪💪💪 This channel is absolutely amazing dude, I hope you get +100,000 followers Phil. I will pray for you. I wish you continued success Goodman. Greetings to the lovett family. See you my dear friend.
That’s beyond lovely of you Atakan 🙏 - even by your generous standards we’re blown away 💯😊. It’s an incredible Island to explore - and with your roller fitness - you’d climb Teide like a pro 💯💪. Jayne says hello - and wishes you a very amazing weekend - and thanks for your best wishes !
Great video Phil! Makes me want to go back there on a cycling holiday (not training camp!) even though I swore to never climb El Teide again when I did it in 2019, roughly at the same spot where you were struggling
Cheers Mick🙏 - its an amazing Island isn’t it 🤩 - and for sure given your increased fitness you’d fly up the route from Playa de Las Americas through Arona, Vilaflor and on to Teide - with the right pacing and enough carbs . You’d also be sound as a pound on San Miguel Teide - I simply hadn’t eaten enough - and bonked badly 🤣🥵
🤣Simon - it really was a holiday…. promise 😁 - but seriously - I was blown away by Tenerife and ended up riding more than anticipated - was impossible not to!!
It was definitely … almost definitely …. Probably .. a holiday Ian 🤣 - but yep perfect for someone who may prefer a training camp !! 😁 And for sure - it truly is an Island of contrast and micro climate - hot around the coast doesn’t mean hot at Vilaflor. So layers and good gloves - are key (certainly this time of year). Long descents - so I reckon it’s always good to have gloves and something with long sleeves . You’ll see a great contrast next weekends video - where we show Masca, which is simply sublime 🤩
🤣 Torture on Teide for sure that day, Stephen ! 😁 I have a talent now for turning both ascending and descending into a trial of man vs mountain 🥵 And the Superser full gazzzz was proper luxury… I immediately regretted leaving the sanctuary of the cafe when it started to pour down only 0.2km into the descent ! Thanks ever so much as ever 🙏
Thanks ever so much Baz 🙏 - I hadn’t intended to ride quite as much, but the Island is an incredible cycling arena, and not often on holiday for so long. So decided to make the most of time away from work - and now back to the grind (with much less training and riding to boot 🥵). The staff in the Viaflor cafe were on another level - as was the Baraquito Complete 👌
🤣 Liam - the TF1 sure is a much more fearsome obstacle than Mount Teide - I’d prefer to climb Teide twice consecutively than navigate back through all that again 🥵
Wow that was awesome. Felt for you on that freezing descent, that cafe was awesome. Did you ever visit one in Vilaflor called 'La Paz'? Its iconic to me because it has its own bike repair station outside.
Cheers Steve 🙏 - thats massively appreciated 💯 - it truely is an awesome place - whether for R&R or some….. a lot .. of cycling 😁 - and very accessible to the non cyclist, because the roads are wide and smooth and the motorists respectful - so on the e-bike Jayne was easily able to join me. I didn’t visit that one - the only other one was the cafe in Chio which has the repairs as well, and has been frequented by many top cyclists and athletes 👍
Ey up Phil, what kind of temperatures were you experiencing? I noticed full-length tights, arm warmers, etc. We just came back from GC in December and it was warm, we are thinking of Tenerife Dec 2022 but want warm weather really.
How do Aky 👍 Of our 10days in Jan, we had good weather for about 6 of them plus 2 mornings - lovely and warm down by the coast (16-20), and the temp at the top ranged from 5-12 on those days. And only 3 of the days were rainy all day - and of course super cold on the mountain. You’ll see the beautiful weather and incredible rides at Masca this Sunday coming - was sublime 🤩. Definitely a micro climate - but I’d highly recommend. And stay on the south side not the north for the better weather 👍
@Bike Racing Without Mercy - Hi Phil which company did you use for bike rental? I am off to the Costa Adeje later in the year and looking for recommendations.
Hi Greg - I put the link in the video description. It’s Cycling in Tenerife - ask for Enrico - they are lovely 💯 Enjoy - its an incredible place, and I can’t wait to return 🤩
Thank you Phillip. A lovely introduction to the island. Great video. Always courteous to other road users👏👍 Looked like a fair bit of traffic on the roads? Are you planning on visiting other islands? Congratulations on an excellent video. Best regards Martin
Thanks ever so much Martin 🙏 - it’s a pleasure to film and edit these videos 💯. The busiest road was Adeje to Playa de Las Americas and then the section of road from there to Camilla and on to Arona and Vilaflor. Granadilla to Vilaflor and San Miguel to Vilaflor were much quieter - as was Vilaflor Teide and Chio - Teide. Plus courteous motorists. I’d like to visit Gran Canaria - but will need to wait . Highly recommend Tenerife 👌
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy thank you Phillip for the tips. Hope to see you at some European races since you are giving the Fred a miss. Good luck with the Majorca 321. Best regards Martin
Thanks ever so much Bmankowski 🙏 - that’s hugely appreciated. Yes it climbs well (upto 24km/h uphill) and the battery will last about 20km-25km on that bike - longer on others. Great to climb Teide or indeed steeper ascents like Alpe d’Huez 👍
Always Chris ! Always 😁 - and thanks ever so much, massively appreciate your super kind support 🙏. We loved the island, and was a pleasure to make the video 💯
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy I'll bring the handwarmers! There's nothing worse than cold hands. When I prior commuted to work, it was pre 7am and in the glorious North East England winter weather, it was mainly below freezing. 2-3 pairs of gloves and sometimes I would still feel the coldness, which almost brought me to tears, so I felt your pain there.
Phil, Tenerife is my favourite island but never ever cycled out there. I'm there for 10 nights in May and hope to get 4 days in. Will be getting bike hire. Staying in Costa adeje. Where can I find the routes to cycle?
You’ll be in for a cycling treat, Dean 💯 We too stayed in Adeje. If you go to my Strava (link is in description) you’ll see all my rides. Including one from Adeje to Chio and then Teide and back and one into Playa de Las Americas and up to Teide via San Miguel (albeit I recommend you go up via Arona or Granadilla). Be careful plotting your route to avoid going onto the TF1 motorway - the roads to the side are fine - but you need to cross over the TF1 and back in order to get to the start of the Teide Climb - and my Strava route guided me onto the motorway. Some of the rides we had Alberto from Cycling in Tenerife - and they took us by van to different start points. Also check out my ride (which features next Sunday) from Adeje to Los Gigantes and then up Masca and down to BuenaVista and back. It’s sensational - as you’ll see.🤩 Enjoy!
Thanks ever so much Carlo 🙏 - and for sure you’ll love it. We stayed in the H10 Atlantic Sunrise in Adeje - was very nice and great for getting to Chio and on to Teide or to Las Gigantes and then Masca (see next weekends vid)
Another great video Phil as always definitely training camp by the way I have been told foot knee hips lower back pain is usually cleat position what do you think? Hope your pains gone away and ride on
Thanks ever so much crunchey 🙏 - it was definitely a holiday …. I promise 🤣 . I agree bike position and cleats can be part of it - and even though I tried to recreate my set up on the hire bike, it never feels quite the same. But after the San Miguel climb, I didn’t suffer again. I think this time it was more likely related to the body getting used to sustained climbing for 2-2.5hours, and the San Miguel Climb having a lot of steep ramps which interrupt the position and rhythm, and put more strain on the lower back. I also found that riding on the drops helped nicely during the final leg of that climb 👍
Awesome video! Going there in a week and used this for planning. What would you recommend of clothing when going to the top? Seems to vary a lot from racing kits to more layers for the various people in the video. And for others, here are the timesstamps for the maps: Chio - Teide: 2:30 Teide via San Miguel: 14:09 Granadilla - Villaflor: 22:40 Teide via Chio : 23:36
Thanks ever so much emilg 🙏 - have an amazing time - and in my other video from Tenerife you’ll see that climb from Los Gigantes to Masca is excellent after which you can ascend the short climb to the top of Masca AND THEN descend down the main Masca climb - with all its magnificent hairpins (quite steep) - you will be in a Jurassic paradise. Then to climb back up the main Masca climb is tough but doable BUT sensational - literally one of my favourite climbs in Europe - so do make the time for it 💯🤩 I’m due back in Feb. I weigh 63kg and get cold easily - so tend to have long sleeves and long legged bibs plus gloves as standard unless it’s forecast a hot day. The weather down low can be warm and lovely (20-25deg) but by 2300m it can change hugely - so I always have a rain jacket . And as you see I often wore a gilet. The descents are very long and can get really cold in the rain. But I also know people who went to Gran Canaria and Tenerife this Dec and worse short sleeves throughout (and didn’t need their layers). I’d say err to caution on Teide . Less so on Los Gigantes and Masca which are lower (if the forecast is good). Enjoy 👍
Another great video Phil!! Keep up the great work. Can I ask if you arrange these trips independently or through a certain travel company? (I’m looking to arrange a few cycling trips out to Italy and France this year but not too sure how best to manage the bike rentals / hotels / transfers etc)
Thanks ever so much Rob 🙏 - plenty more to come including a beautiful visit to Masca in the North West of Tenerife on Sunday 🤩. We arrange all the trips ourselves, and find a good hire / guide company (Cycling in Tenerife for this trip - link in description). Italy is the exception - where I have loved Garda Bike Hotel - because their hotel is incredible and the provide amazing guided tours - with a range of different bikes. I’ll be back there soon 👍. Ask for Nicola at Garda Bike Hotel 👍
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy Thanks so much Phil. That’s really helpful. Alpe D’huez is first on my hit list this year and I’m currently looking into arrangements. If you had any tips for that please they would be ever so gratefully received!
It was very striking indeed - beautiful, but with weather able to change very rapidly . Absolutely stunning part of the world - and you’ll see in the next vid the sublime and contrasting Masca - very Jurassic 🤩

@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy cant wait tobwatxh that. Im planning to do my bike trip in Spain. Grand Canaria, Giirona and Andorra are on my lists.
@@FortheLoveofCycling that will be an amazing trip! I’m looking to explore Spain one day too 💯
Brilliant - loved this one Phil.
Weather could have been a tad bit better, but at least you stuck to the "Not a training camp!"
Love these times of the year where outside riding is back again, gets me excited for the outdoor rides I have planned for this year!
Absolutely fantastic video
The best yet i have seen about Climbing Teide ,
I was like WTF when i first saw Jayne cruising up the climb until i saw the motor :) :)
Well done that's a tough few days
Chapeau Sir & Jayne
Awesome content as usual Phil. Gonna have to get that coffee recipe for my water bottle. The climb was tidy too 😂
🤣 Joe - the Barraquito Complete would actually make a very very nice rocket fuel for the bottle …. nice plan 😋 Teide is a very lovely climb from all directions - and when you see Masca next week, that provides an amazing contrast - steep, super pretty and Jurassic 🤩 - but tough !
Great effort Phil. Looking a bit cooked on the steeper bits.👌 keep the videos coming. Nearly at 9k subscribers 👏👏
And as ever cheers 🥂
fantastic video, Phil
Thanks ever so much Andy 🙏 - definitely one of my favourite places to cycle 🤩
You see now my ability to make both climbing and descending a trial of man vs mountain, Nick 🤣 But yep - proper underestimated just how variable the climate is at the top… was lovely the day before 😅 It’s not Snowdonia pretty - but its very very striking, and the top of Teide is simply unique - plus as you’ll see, Masca next weekend is another contrast - very steep and Jurassic 🤩
great phil as usual! you looked mega cold in the cafe! :D
Awesome 👏
Cheers, Steve 🙏 - you’re a Gent, Sir 💯
Great video Phil! Makes me want to go back there on a cycling holiday (not training camp!) even though I swore to never climb El Teide again when I did it in 2019, roughly at the same spot where you were struggling
Cheers Mick🙏 - its an amazing Island isn’t it 🤩 - and for sure given your increased fitness you’d fly up the route from Playa de Las Americas through Arona, Vilaflor and on to Teide - with the right pacing and enough carbs . You’d also be sound as a pound on San Miguel Teide - I simply hadn’t eaten enough - and bonked badly 🤣🥵
well my friend i thought a little mouse told me you should be relaxing on this holiday..... hahahhahahaha great vlog brother xx
🤣Simon - it really was a holiday…. promise 😁 - but seriously - I was blown away by Tenerife and ended up riding more than anticipated - was impossible not to!!
Looks a stunning place to ride Phill, an ideal place for a training camp aka holiday! 😂 Kit choice looks vital at some points though! 🤔😂
Torture on Tiede. Saved by a Superser going full gaz. Another amazing episode in the BRWM adventure series.🔥🔥🔥
Another great vid Phil, even on holiday you are pushing yourself! So kind of the cafe staff to help get you warmed up
Thanks ever so much Baz 🙏 - I hadn’t intended to ride quite as much, but the Island is an incredible cycling arena, and not often on holiday for so long. So decided to make the most of time away from work - and now back to the grind (with much less training and riding to boot 🥵). The staff in the Viaflor cafe were on another level - as was the Baraquito Complete 👌
I feel your pain with the dual carriageway, Phil. We had to cross that death trap once on the way to the water park.
Great video! How many km that Electric bike can do ? Its good to Climb on Teide ?
Thanks ever so much Bmankowski 🙏 - that’s hugely appreciated. Yes it climbs well (upto 24km/h uphill) and the battery will last about 20km-25km on that bike - longer on others. Great to climb Teide or indeed steeper ascents like Alpe d’Huez 👍
Do you need any new friends, Phill? As always a top notch video, where next?
Amazing Phil! Thanks for sharing as usual! I was planning a 5 days cycling in Tenerife myself. Any hotel recommendation?
Thanks ever so much Carlo 🙏 - and for sure you’ll love it. We stayed in the H10 Atlantic Sunrise in Adeje - was very nice and great for getting to Chio and on to Teide or to Las Gigantes and then Masca (see next weekends vid)
What time of year was this with the temperature so cold coming back down? Well done on that climb though 💪
Hi Paul - this was Feb. Can be variable at the top of Teide that time of year.
Phil, was that lad on a cannondale slate with the lefty fork with you there ?
Hi Brody. He was our guide - Alberto . Super strong for sure 💪👍
And for others, here are the timesstamps for the maps:
Chio - Teide: 2:30
Teide via San Miguel: 14:09
Granadilla - Villaflor: 22:40
Teide via Chio : 23:36
Enjoy 👍
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy Thanks for the lengthy reply and advice! Happy new year!
The fog, clouds… geezus that looked ominous…
It was very striking indeed - beautiful, but with weather able to change very rapidly . Absolutely stunning part of the world - and you’ll see in the next vid the sublime and contrasting Masca - very Jurassic 🤩
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy Yeah that weather in the video changed very quickly. At the end when I saw your teeth chattering - I felt that… 🥶… glad you were able to get warm afterwards… love the videos! 🍻
@@CycoWarriorx yes - seriously gibbering 🥶 🤣 - and thanks ever so much, thats massively kind of you CycoWarriorx 🙏
Best climb ever. 😁
It’s sensational isn’t it LJ 👌 💯 - certainly I’ll revisit
So jealoussssssssssss!
🤣 cheers Dope One - highly recommended 🤩👌
Surely the descent is the best bit?
😅 I wish I was better at it Don !
Grand Phil
Thanks Ethan - much appreciated 🙏. Sure is a very grand place to ride bikes 🤩
a cut above a works outing at margate.
It was a revelation to me FFF - the micro climate and contrasting terrain and views 🤩 - and next week we show the area to the North West, and the climbs in and around Masca - which is very Jurassic and sublime 👌
