It's just emulation in a nutshell, really. A lot of people like to pretend they're getting the "superior experience" playing a game like this on an emulator on more powerful hardware with a higher resolution and a higher (average) framerate, but the only reason people say that is because they lack the experience of playing it on Switch to see how it *should* run. Emulation is always riddled with issues like microstuttering in places that it would never happen on Switch, plus a bunch of glitches people don't pick up on if they haven't played the game extensively on Switch first to notice. At the end of the day there's really no substitute for just running a game on native hardware.
