Edit: All modpacks have been updated for Zelda TOTK v1.2.0. If you use them with an older or newer version the game may not work Hey guys, for a first video getting 2.3k views in just a bit over a day has been beyond what I expected. It's a modest figure compared to established channels, but given this is the 'first' I'm quite stoked. I know it’s been sometime since this video - however it remains absolutely relevant and still works. I am planning to do future videos however with Yuzu deprecated for good, I may do one more Yuzu farewell, and some further refinements to this existing tutorial. After that, I have some ideas for continued useful content. I really appreciate the compliments and it is encouraging. Please stay tuned. It you want to know when I update new videos and the mods I make announcements whenever I can on my discord server: discord.gg/ztCkMucsrU
Do you know if the modpacks will work with v 1.2.1? Thats what I currently have installed and framerates are still at 30. If anything I can try and get a 1.2.0 update instead
for those experiencing the launching forever screen what worked for me was I went into properties of Tears of the kingdom(In yuzu right click it) and used all the optimization mods except for Sweetmini 1008P not sure why Yuzu was behaving this way but i solved it by individually testing out each mod hope it works for you guys
Just wanted to add in this for people with lower to mid end graphics cards. The only difference I would make to this video is changing the ASTC Recompression to BC3 if you have 4-6 GbVram graphics card and anything less than 4gb to BC1. Great video and simple, Thanks
The big thing is what the Yuzu quick guide tells you to do. I know full well how to download and install stuff on my computer. What I think most of us need help with is understanding what to do and how to do it properly when following Yuzus quick guide. Thank you for your work.
That could be another video which could be quite useful indeed, and a good suggestion. But the purpose of this video was to cut through all the noise of what mods, optimistion combination to use - and just give a clean simple to follow solution.
@@wajplays gotcha, thanks anyways, this video is particularly interesting for me for sure but only once I successfully figure out how to obtain those keys from my old Switch and whatnot. If you don’t mind me rambling a bit, I’m totally willing to pay for some assistance with this matter. I have an early 2017 Switch, a physical copy of ToTK, a beast PC with Yuzu installed, a 64GB micro card and no idea how to proceed from there. Already beat ToTK on another oled switch I own and all I need is better image quality and unbreakable gear. 😅
Thanks for making this tutorial! From what I can see Yuzu gets a lot of tuning at the moment regrading Zelda TotK, almost every day I see a new EA release. I could imagine that settings and stuff will change soon to achieve even better performance. Hope these settings will last a while and if not, it would be extremely cool if there would be updated information in the description.
Hi , I will be releasing more optimisation content soon. Appreciate your kind comment and do sub to ensure you're notified when I push the new video in the coming days Have a great day man!
You nailed this video bro. Perfect from the start to the end! I’ve been playing TOTK for about a week or two, but looked up a guide to see if I could fix some of the stutters I was getting (5600x and 3080 12GB, and these settings fixed it perfectly for me. Not sure exactly which setting made the difference, but it definitely helped! Thanks bro. Have a like and a sub.
@itsmeike I don’t play a lot of them, but the ones I do run great. Some games run a flat 60 all the way through (New Mario Deluxe, DK Tropical, Cuphead). Games like TOTK run at 60 most of the time, with some drops into 50 depending on the area. Even top of the line CPUs won’t hold a flat 60 in TOTK though.
@itsmeike most flagship switch games actually work very well via emulation. Ones that are older tend to have better mods and optimizations. TOTK already works very well.
You are the best, I have been trying for days to get it to work at a stable 60fps and you have been the only one who has achieved it, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Went through numerous videos trying to get 60 fps. None of them worked except for this channel. The other mods were a added bonus plus the xbox controller ui. Good job and thanks you earned a Sub and like!
Thank you brother I really appreciate that support, I've been travelling for business for the last month or so and I've been wanting to continue to make more content and these comments are really encouraging!
Thank you ser. I'll be making a follow-up video with some further CPU optimisations and ways to enhance graphics using AI without impacting performance
Thank you so much for this guide I switched now using Ryujinx to Yuzu cause of you it's so glorious running a 5800x and 3090 here can get stable 60fps after shaders are fully built at 4x resolution. Edit: you can see in my channel how ryujinx runs with my hardware using optimization guides for ryujinx not smooth like in yuzu
Thanks for your compliments! I'll be posting some new content and optimzations in the near future too. Just traveling at the moment. I'll check out your channel :)
1) only old Switches made up to some point in 2018 are "dumpable" - if people have newer Switches - bad luck I guess. 2) On AMD cards - select everything in advanced tab (AMD prefers asynchronous compute) - also the way AMD RDNA cards boost clocks it's best to artificially force max clock as dropping into lower power states causes stutters. Also on AMD - use vsync off (immediate).
Hadn't looked into Switch emulation too much before, I knew it was a thing but I didn't expect something like TOTK to work this well but I suppose it's not as complex to emulate as some of the older generation consoles. Loving the game so much and I definitely want to restart it on PC now that I finished it on real hardware. Crazy that there is almost no drawbacks and I can even use my pro controller
Yes if you have some decent hardware basically zero draw backs (more bug prone but nothing too crazy). Really works well. I'll be releasing a new video V2 of this tutorial as a few new changes and optimzations and method of setup have changed and improved considerably as of about a week ago.
@@wajplayswhens the new video come out? this video was extremely well put together and would love to see more. thanks for the info and mod information.
@@DylanZ1201 they can send a copyright strike on the video, which is in their legal right, even just showing 1 frame of the game is utilizing Nintendos copyright
I don't normally make youtube comments but this video was phenomenal to watch, thank you so so much for making a simple but informative guide getting straight to the point while also explaining what you're doing every step of the way! One thing I will say is I think your discord server link no longer works that is on the pinned comment.
Then you can go to the GitHub linked in my description and download the recommended mods specific to your to version. Although I highly recommend version 1.2.0 as it has the most optimised mods for smoothest performance. If you're wanting to stay on a previous version in order to retain the duplication glitch, then you can achieve similar results by using the save game editor: www.marcrobledo.com/savegame-editors/zelda-totk/
Man... I got to thank you. I am running Fedora on a 6700XT. TOTK was crashing constantly. And after doing your settings and MODs, it has not crashed since. I had to disable DynamicFPS and the resolution mods, because it wouldn't launch... But this really helped. Thanks
Great to hear Cesar! Appreciate the comment means a lot! Pity resolution mod not working for you. Happy to trouble shoot you in my discord. discord.gg/S4ahzuav
Great video, confirmed to be still working today. Just need to make sure the update is 1.20 cause 1.21 will not load. Hopefully there will be an updated guide in the future
Yes only 1.2.0 right now , when there are substantial changes I'll make a new video. The video is still not out of date as I updated all my mod pack to 1.2.0. Don't use 1.2.1
haha bro, thanks for your compliments kratos , will make more vids and perhaps one day. if you support me now i’ll shout you out as the bro that called me out way back then in the beginning . mark this comment !
I tried this, and it worked, but after I closed the game once, the fps got capped at 30. Tried changing the config, redoing the mods, recheching my settings, nothing has fixed it... Can anyone help?
Thank you for your video. But i have a question if i died and game over, why it freezed after i click continue to the last save. So i need to restart the game if i die. Please answer thank you.
@@AshLordCurry Yeah on PC emulated, the potential is huge - it can be so much more than it is on the switch. Not just in fidelity, but the mods and customizations will continue to evolve.
But unfortunately, it didn't help. I have a laptop with characteristics (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz // 32.0 GB RAM // RTX 2070 Max-Q) and I passed botw at 60 fps. This method allows me to play at 30 fps but with frequent slumps even after compiling shaders. All that remains is to just wait
Thanks for the compliment Konstantine. Yeah even on my 5950x and a 4090 rtx, I am CPU bound. I can change my resolution from 8k to 720p and I'll still get occasional dips in fps to 40s especially in high density areas. But there are updates and optimizations with tangible improvements all the time. So like you said, things will improve in time. But you specs aren't bad - I think if you run the game at 1x resolution using 30fps mod, you should be able to get pretty playable performance.
Yes, you're right. But I really want to play at a smoother frame rate. Still, it's better to wait. After your tutorial game is smoother than before and I sat for 2 hours🙂
I've been going crazy trying to get TOTK to run without crashing after 30 sec to a minute of gameplay on my new pc. I've upgraded my pc recently but somehow my old computer runs Yuzu and TOTK perfectly but no matter what I do on my new comp it just crashes over and over. I'm sure it's something stupid like not pairing the right firmware/keys with the right game update. I have access to multiple files of each (originally ran 1.1.0 update on Yuzu version 1599 with all the optimization mods I found a few months after the game's original release in '23). There SO many files all over the place that I have no idea what combination works now. Specific version of Yuzu? (Currently I'm trying 1731), proper keys/firmware combo? (Currently I'm trying 18.1.0 of both). I've made sure that the TOTK optimizer is set to 1.1.0 update and medium settings but *nothing* seems to stop these random crashes (I'm using some cheats that it provides like unlimited stamina as well). I have access to all kinds of combinations of prodkeys/firmware, and I have MULTIPLE TOTK update files saved that I could try with any Firmware/prod key version (I have TOTK update 1.1.0, 1.1.2, 1.2.0, & 2.1.0). Is there a consensus on what's the BEST combination of 1.) Yuzu version, 2.) TOTK update version, & 3.) Firmware/Prod key version I should use to make the game stop crashing? I've tried deleting shader cache multiple times, I've tried using saved shader caches, I've tried using old save files and I've tried starting with a full fresh new game start as well. I've done literally every single thing I can think of and this just keeps crashing for me. Is there some Nvidia Control Panel setting to optimize memory usage that would help? Or just a combo of Yuzu version/Firmware-Keys/TOTK update version that I need to be using??
Super helpful video and absolutely no complaints from me but I find it funny and ironic how the video is all about emulating totk on PC to boost performance and graphics, meanwhile your desktop wallpaper looks like it's 480-720p. Lol
@@wajplays I play it on the big screen, it just feels better than using an emulator, an emulator may have better graphics and frame rate, but if you have a switch, then you OWN the game and you don’t have to worry about downloading a virus, you even might have the game card, what’s good about that is that you get box art!
@@The_nerd_hinox My video is encouraging people who own the game and teach them how to play it on their PCs using an emulator. No piracy is encouraged here mate!
@@The_nerd_hinox Pirating the game is absolutely fair when you have to pay 400 bucks to be able to play it on a shitty device. No game is worth 400 bucks and even 60 bucks is wayy too much for a game. On top of that you only get to play it on a shitty console with low fps and on a controller when most people enjoy keyboard and mouse more. Absolute scam if you ask me, some companies just deserve their games to be pirated regardless of how good the game is. The devs and actual people that made the game what it is probably only get a small share anyways so why should I pay the big company 2 months worth of food to be able to play their game.
I know its been a while since the posting of this video, but i am having issues, the game runs perfectly, but even after applying this mods I am only getting 30 FPS. Any idea what i am doing wrong or missing?
i am locked at 30fps even though I have the 60fps mod installed :-( I reapplied the 1.2.1 update also using the 1.5.5 dynamic fps mod still cant get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It’s because you’re using v1.2.1, my mods shared are compatible with 1.2.0 only. The 1.2.1 update has very little in terms of performance or improvements anyway , recommend using 1.2.0 sir!
Despite the updates and mods, my game still has a low fps. Given that I just started the game for the first time, is it because shaders are still building? Thanks
Emulation for totk is CPU intensive. It really depends on your specifications. Can you let me know a bit more about your specs and I can give a few more tips. Yes it may stutter more when you first enter some areas due to shader compilation but it should improve. discord.gg/DmtaCXkP is the community discord I can trouble shoot more personally there
I'm so used to 144 fps that I can't play at 60 fps anymore, it feels like it's juddering at 60 fps. Is there already a 120 fps (or higher) mod for the game?
You can simply unlock the fps (look at the hot keys in settings and you’ll find the hot kick for unlocking the fps) - but right now nothing really runs this game at that fps even with the most powerful CPUs. We have to wait for emulation optimizations overtime.
anyone experienced everytime switch weapon or inventory etc when go back to gameplay the game fps drop to 0 for about 15secs and then run normal again?
1.uninstall all traces of Yuzu and reinstall , 2. Ensure you're running latest firmware and at least version 1.1.1 of Zelda totk. 3. Clear cache. Should work fine. Use the mods according to my tutorial should work fine. If doesn't work disable kids one by one see which one is causing the issue
Where are the modpacks located? I only see the files individually and the Lazypack Optimization thing. I dont see any of what you had. I want to download the Highest possible Spec version, as I have a 4090 and i9-14900k and 100GB of DDR5 ram.
For what I know the accuracy level should in theory have worse effects like particles. Is that really noticeable in totk? Are the performance gains big enough to justify that loss in quality?
Hi guy with a camera! Speaking with Yuzu team, there appears to be minimal sacrifices to partical affects. The performance gains are significant, moreover, the increase in quality (resolution) is leaps and bounds beyond the capabilities of the switch (asusming you have a PC that can run it). Given these factors, I highly recommend running Yuzu with optimized settings if you have the computing power to do so. It truly enhances the gaming experience.
Hi, im playing on a 3060 Ti and a Ryzen 7 5800 and using ur settings and the 60 fps mods i still dont get the game to run smooth. I even tried setting the emulationspeed to 75% and it didnt help much. Do you think im being limited by my hardware or am i missing something?
Hi Oskar! Thanks for the comment. It could be a number of factors that would need to have a bit of back and forth for trouble shooting. I left a discord link below where you can share your findings and I can see how I can help. But as a point of reference, I have a more powerful CPU then you in the same generation 5950x, and I get 60fps 'most of the time'. But even I have drops to 40-50 fps in certain areas. This game is very CPU heavy for Yuzu switch emulation. To address CPU issues, make sure to close any tasks in background that may be conflicting with its performance. Your GPU compared to mine is also far less powerful. I am using at 4090 rtx with 24gb VRAM so I can choose 4x scaling (close to 8k resolution). 3060ti however only has 8GB GDDR6. So for you, I would first start with 1 or 2x resolution scaling. You could be getting stutter by using too high resolution scaler. My personal discord I literally just opened if you need to share more trouble shooting: discord.gg/AQXAaVrg Also final things to consider if all else fails: 1. Uninstall Yuzu, remove all traces of mods to remove conflicts. 2. Re-install Yuzu using the latest mainline build or better yet, their latest Early Acces build. 3. Follow my guide and consider using 30fps instead of 60fps if things don't work well at 60fps. 4. use lower resolution (1x - 2x resolution scaling for example) The game also has shader compilation stutters, this is known. Yuzu will start compiling these shaders over time and the more you play, the less you'll notice stutters resulting from this once they've loaded them already.
the dude has a 4090 dont expect to much with your hardware. i have a 5600x + 2070 super and the game avg 40-32 on hyrule and 55-60 on shrines. btw if you want to play it 60fps locked, your gonna need to wait a couple of months or years for that to happen.
Hi i followed all the instructions , but after i installed all the mods and run the game , i can't play yuzu keeps telling me that its launching the game . But i cant actually get in the main menu
This often happens with the wrong version of yuzu. Try doing a fresh clean install and retrying with the latest mainline version. Also feel free to join my discord server i can help more 1on1 there discord.gg/S4ahzuav
I'm currently having an issue using Yuzu (most current version) w/ ToTK (most current with update) where as soon as I start the game, character models appear all black and some of the environment graphics are not appearing. I'm using a 1660 TI for the GPU. Any thoughts?
Im doing all of that step by step did before a fiew months ago following a dirffeent video. i just cant get the game to work on 60 FPS. Its always locked on 30. if do Ctrl+u it makes the game speed x2. (i know thats why we have mods) what i mean i that all of that doesnt work for me, im quite loss in that regard xd
hi, whenever im copying the contents of your modpack to my yuzu mods folder, and then going to yuzu itself and right clicking on TLoZ --> Properties, Yuzu is crashing. This did not happen when the modpack files u gave were not in the yuzu mods folder. Any ideas how to fix?
Hi there MDH, the mods themselves should not effect the operation of Yuzu, until you actually launch TOTK. I suggest uninstalling Yuzu, all updates and reinstall with the latest mainline stable version. Then apply the mods. If you want some more personal trouble shooting you can join my discord where I’d be happy to help discord.gg/S4ahzuav
@@wajplays Hi! Thanks for the speedy response, and this solution worked! I still don't know what caused the issue, but now I'm running the game at a stable framerate!
Glad it worked for you man! Stay tuned for another optimization video as well as some alternative ways to get visual improvement without too much performance impact.
Yuzu support recommends 1.2.0, the mod packs are for 1.2.0, and no other at this moment. 1.2.1 also does not include significant changes in the game as well.
Hey! Thank you for everything man you really helped me out. I downloaded the 60 fps mod but my yuzu is stuck at a max 30fps, no matter what configs i change. Any help with this? I appreciate you helping everyone so quickly.
Nice man I’ve been looking for something like this. TOTK on switch oled has its moments where it gets choppy and that really pisses me off. I have a beefy rtx4090 pc and a 4k monitor I would absolutely love to play a smooth 4k TOTK on my pc For this to work, do I need to have a digital copy of the game on my switch account, or the physical cartridge is ok?
hey mate thanks for this vid i've noticed slight stutters fairly frequently but neither my cpu or gpu seem to be really stretching their legs (~50% usage at any given time), it will typically duck down from 60fps to 30-40 then back up to 60 half a second later, its just a weird stutter not sure if you know how to fix that? I'm running your 60fps high end standard switch pack & CPU is 10700k, RTX3070 + 3200mhz ddr4 16g, thanks
Hey mate, yeah sadly it isn't that well optimized and it is very CPU hungry. A few things could be culprit, one of them could be shader compilation. This eases off the more you play. You can also try optimising your CPU. Another suggestion is to download a application call "process lasso" and optimise your CPU specifically for Yuzu. You can disable the core 0 and the hyperthreading cores and just leave physical cores active, and set to performance mode. This should get you more stable performance as well . Also join discord for further updates on optimzations discord.gg/DmtaCXkP
They work for 1.1.0 and onwards, however I recommend using them with 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 as they have better compatibility with the mods. Note however that 1.1.2 fixes the item duplication glitch. So if that’s something you want then stick with 1.1.1.
Hey, amazing tutorial! Quick question: Since i dont own a switch pro controller, can joy cons be used or is this only working for pro controllers? I assume you have connected your pro controller via bluetooth/cable? The other option i have is using a ps5 pro controller but i would prefer using joy cons. And also how does the saving work? Will the game still automatically save my progress on my pc or do i have to manually save my progress every once in a while and when exiting the game? Is my progress then still ,,linked" to the console? Thank you very much!
@@nxouri6224 I would suggest googling a alternative method to download it then . I can't specifically tell you how but I think 30 minutes of research can find a way! You'll need all the files noted in my video l, ie. latest switch firmware, Yuzu and totk 1.2.0 update and totk game as well
@@wajplays Alright thanks for the answer. I do have all the files, as well as the game and yuzu downloaded. Important Question, does following the steps to get the keys do anything bad to the Switch? My Switch is too new so I can't, but my GFs is my old Switch I bought on release. If I follow those steps will it wipe her game/progress?
for some reason when I choose the game directory that has totk in it, it doesn't show up in yuzu. It's the same exact file (in terms of size and being XCI) that shows up in this video but just won't show up.
HI and thanks for the great video - I wont repeat how good it is because its just awesome! Ijust have a problem...I have all the files needed but when I add the main folder to Yuzu nothing happens and I receive this message: "Encryption keys failed to decrypt firmware." Do you maybe have an idea whats the problem?
Heya there start from scratch and ensure you have the firmware keys as per my video. If you don't have firmware keys you can extract them from your switch or do a bit if googling for a less legitimate method, although I cannot direct that here due to copywrite and privacy related concerns
Hey, it this still possible after the discontinuation of Yuzu? I see in some recent replies to comments there's a download to Yuzu in your discord, but it appears the link is now invalid. Could you possibly provide a new one? It would be greatly appreciated :)
Hey man, I have an issue with 60FPS mod. No matter what 60fps mods I install, whether they're old or new, my game is still locked to 30fps. I tried the new versions of 1.5.5 but still not working. I'm on game version 1.2.1.
Just a small question, but I have a Steam Deck and I was wondering if I should do dynamic 30 or 60fps? I haven’t seen anyone use the 60fps patch on any Steam Deck videos I’ve seen so maybe it’s not compatible.
hey man! i know its been like a year since this video was posted but i got an issue too. emulator crashes 5-10 seconds after i launch the game, on a loading phase. im using suyu instead of yuzu (since it was taken down) but basically it is exactly the same thing, so i dont really think that thats the problem. do you know what can be the problem?

i did everything but my game is still capped at 30fps. and its very much not because of my hardware as it never goes below that and i know it can run better because of a previous installation . im wondering if this is because of a mod that you have in the video (60fps static) that isnt included in the mods provided? i really dont know but id like help on this
1. What’s the cpu you are using 2. No one can achieve 60fps consistently yet with this game due to yuzu reliance on cpu, and CPU’s even top end can’t maintain strict 60fps but can get close to it 3. My mods only work with 1.2.0 of the game. You can follow the GitHub link and download totk optimizer which is packaged a bunch of mods together that will work with 1.2.1 4. I do include a 60fps mod pack, it should be in the description link below
hi, I have a question, what is the difference between doing this and using the tool called TOTK Optimizer? I have doubts, because I am seeing what is the best way to optimize the game.
@@lain1178 TOTK OPTIMIZER is good for version 1.2.1 and onwards however some users (including me and some of my followers) have found that my method results in more consistent gameplay and stable frame rate. TOTK optimizer is a cleaner more easy approach as well.

I'm currently on version 1.2.0 like u said and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the update and mods. The only problem I can think of that is causing this is maybe it's because I'm using Suyu instead of Yuzu, but even then they are pretty much the same thing. Have any idea on how to fix this?

@Waj Plays - I have both emu's set because sometimes one always work better then the other depending on which of the 2 teams releases patches first. but for the first time ever i have encountered a bug on yusu and I have no idea how to try to fix it. so when tears of the kingdom first was released I loaded it with yusu, then when the first patch was released for tears, while trying to install it the game just disappeared from yuzu's list even tho it is in the folder where all my switch games are. Ryujinx can load the game from the very same folder but yuzu well its like she bugged her self the game just not load with the rest of my list. because of this I am now stuck to ryujinx for tears. have you ever heard of such a glitch? and maybe know what would be the correct steps in fixing?
Open gl runs so much worse and so don’t recommend it . Pixilated clouds should be fixed already with the latest yuzu version + my mod packs. Try 1.1.1 as well rather the 1.1.2 of totk
hi there 1.2.0 is the version compatible with the mods mentioned in this video - 1.2.1 doesn't have anything of that much importance so reocmmends 1.2.0 still.

Hey Barcuan, there have been 3 or 4 new EA’s releases since then and they are compatible with the mod list I have recommended. Additionally, the mainline has has been updated on 29 May (Yuzu EA 3615 was released 27 May). I would recommend updating your Yuzu to the latest EA release or even just using the mainline version which is newer than 3615.

Hey guys, for a first video getting 2.3k views in just a bit over a day has been beyond what I expected.

Welcome brother

Something about playing it on switch just makes it special!
@@The_nerd_hinox portability factor is indeed special
@@wajplays I play it on the big screen, it just feels better than using an emulator, an emulator may have better graphics and frame rate, but if you have a switch, then you OWN the game and you don’t have to worry about downloading a virus, you even might have the game card, what’s good about that is that you get box art!
@@The_nerd_hinox My video is encouraging people who own the game and teach them how to play it on their PCs using an emulator. No piracy is encouraged here mate!
@@wajplays I know, but I saying there are some advantages of owning a switch and a copy of the game
@@The_nerd_hinox Pirating the game is absolutely fair when you have to pay 400 bucks to be able to play it on a shitty device. Absolute scam if you ask me, some companies just deserve their games to be pirated regardless of how good the game is.

My personal discord I literally just opened if you need to share more trouble shooting:
discord.gg/AQXAaVrg
Also final things to consider if all else fails:
1. Uninstall Yuzu, remove all traces of mods to remove conflicts.
2. Re-install Yuzu using the latest mainline build or better yet, their latest Early Acces build.
3. Follow my guide and consider using 30fps instead of 60fps if things don't work well at 60fps.
4. use lower resolution (1x - 2x resolution scaling for example)
The game also has shader compilation stutters, this is known.

Are these mods only for the 1.1.0 versions of the game? What about 1.1.2?
They work for 1.1.0 and onwards, however I recommend using them with 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 as they have better compatibility with the mods. Note however that 1.1.2 fixes the item duplication glitch. So if that’s something you want then stick with 1.1.1.
1.1 is just the best version of the game if you like duplication glitches

If you know anything that could help me out that would be much appreciated. Thanks again!
Important Question, does following the steps to get the keys do anything bad to the Switch? My Switch is too new so I can't, but my GFs is my old Switch I bought on release. If I follow those steps will it wipe her game/progress?
If you follow the steps in quickstart guide it should not hurt switch or saves at all
Am I missing something? I have all the mods in the mods folder and the game runs and looks great on my 4090 but it only runs at 30fps.
hey can you please provide an updated link to the discord server? Would really appreciate it
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
You're most welcome!
Is the update file necessary because I don't have it and the method did not work?
for some reason when I choose the game directory that has totk in it, it doesn't show up in yuzu. It's the same exact file (in terms of size and being XCI) that shows up in this video but just won't show up.
Try re-installing yuzu from scratch and trying again.
You may need to get an up to date prod key
HI and thanks for the great video - I wont repeat how good it is because its just awesome!
Ijust have a problem...I have all the files needed but when I add the main folder to Yuzu nothing happens and I receive this message:
"Encryption keys failed to decrypt firmware."
Do you maybe have an idea whats the problem?
Heya there start from scratch and ensure you have the firmware keys as per my video. If you don't have firmware keys you can extract them from your switch or do a bit if googling for a less legitimate method, although I cannot direct that here due to copywrite and privacy related concerns
Thanks for the compliments !
Hey, it this still possible after the discontinuation of Yuzu? I see in some recent replies to comments there's a download to Yuzu in your discord, but it appears the link is now invalid. Could you possibly provide a new one? It would be greatly appreciated :)

Hey man,
I have an issue with 60FPS mod. No matter what 60fps mods I install, whether they're old or new, my game is still locked to 30fps. I tried the new versions of 1.5.5 but still not working. I'm on game version 1.2.1.
It does not work on 1.2.1, only 1.2.0
Yeah I did downgrade to 1.2.0 and nowit works. Thanks@@wajplays
Just a small question, but I have a Steam Deck and I was wondering if I should do dynamic 30 or 60fps? I haven’t seen anyone use the 60fps patch on any Steam Deck videos I’ve seen so maybe it’s not compatible.
30 fps for steam decr my friend
hey man! i know its been like a year since this video was posted but i got an issue too. emulator crashes 5-10 seconds after i launch the game, on a loading phase. im using suyu instead of yuzu (since it was taken down) but basically it is exactly the same thing, so i dont really think that thats the problem. do you know what can be the problem?
@@artemlutskov163 this usually occurs when you have a incompatible version of TOTK with a mod. If you’re using the mods I provided, then ensure you’re using 1.2.0 of TOTK
@@wajplays ok, ill try, thank you so much!
Did everything as u said. But when I start the game it is stuck on the yuzu loading screen and wont get into the actual game. Any tips?
Edit: i was using 1.1.2 and unchecked two mods. Now it is working fine ig.
Which mods did you uncheck? I will double check my mod packs and update for 1.1.2. I’m still on 1.1.1 as I like to use the duplication glitch from time to time.
@@wajplays I used some mods before I watched your video. I unchecked "Fps - 60fps Static" and the Xbox Western UI.
I guess that the xbox ui mod does not change the outcome. I just unchecked it bcs i had a xbox ui already installed.
@@maduy01 the Xbox western UI includes in it something called the ‘black screen fix’. Which when you use the native switch vanilla UI, requires a separate mod called black screen fix. If you have the Xbox up mod + also black screen fix, it may crash.
same issue here. I'm on 1.0.0 and haven't unchecked any mods yet. Game won't launch with mods and 60fps xbox pack.
@@SandyCheeks1896 v1.0 is not compatible with most mods. Update to at least 1.1.1
Hello!
So, now that I'm interested in the better fps, how do I put my Switch game onto a desktop? I've tried to look it up, but all I get are well, how to hook the Switch up to a monitor.
I don't think that's what I want here or is transferring my game onto a computer illegal?
Follow this guide yuzu-emu.org/help/quickstart/
@@wajplays thank you!
i did everything but my game is still capped at 30fps. and its very much not because of my hardware as it never goes below that and i know it can run better because of a previous installation . im wondering if this is because of a mod that you have in the video (60fps static) that isnt included in the mods provided? i really dont know but id like help on this
1. What’s the cpu you are using
2. No one can achieve 60fps consistently yet with this game due to yuzu reliance on cpu, and CPU’s even top end can’t maintain strict 60fps but can get close to it
3. My mods only work with 1.2.0 of the game. You can follow the GitHub link and download totk optimizer which is packaged a bunch of mods together that will work with 1.2.1
4. I do include a 60fps mod pack, it should be in the description link below
Dude. If it wasn´t for this video, I could have never played this. You are a king, thanks.
Glad I could help!
Help the playstation UI download isn't available no more ! it's set to private. whatdoIdo?
hi, I have a question, what is the difference between doing this and using the tool called TOTK Optimizer? I have doubts, because I am seeing what is the best way to optimize the game.
@@lain1178 TOTK OPTIMIZER is good for version 1.2.1 and onwards however some users (including me and some of my followers) have found that my method results in more consistent gameplay and stable frame rate. TOTK optimizer is a cleaner more easy approach as well.
@@wajplays does your method work with version 1.2.1?
@ only 1.2.0, but I find my method performs better than Optimize
My Yuzu Keep crashing even i change the mods to 30 fps, i have i5 genth12,its rly capable of playing in high end,how do i solve this?
What's happening to me is I launch the game and it works fine at first, but the second time I launch the game the mods just stop working and I'm stuck at 30 fps with sweetmini making me watch the infinite launching screen.
Try instead this: install 1.2.1, uninstall all my mods. Go to the GitHub link in my descrtiion for the most updated mods, download totk optimizer and run it. Should work :-)
@@wajplays Will do, thanks for the info :)
I would suggest just reinstalling Yuzu and the mods
3080 and 5700x and it's locked to 30fps, used the 60fps Xbox Ui any ideas?
Do you have a fix for pixelated clouds? People say to use opengl spir v but my fps is on 20-30 when using it
Open gl runs so much worse and so don’t recommend it . Pixilated clouds should be fixed already with the latest yuzu version + my mod packs. Try 1.1.1 as well rather the 1.1.2 of totk
the latest TOTK game update is 1.2.1 will it still run optimally? or i need to out date it to 1.2.0?
btw nice work bro!
hi there 1.2.0 is the version compatible with the mods mentioned in this video - 1.2.1 doesn't have anything of that much importance so reocmmends 1.2.0 still.
@@wajplays great. just started playing with the mods you provide. thanks this helps alot brother. keep the good work up. looking forward for you future tutorials.

On Yuzu EA 3615 the resolution sweetmini from 60 fps Native Switch pack make yuzu crash
Hey, settings worked really well in my game but, i have one issue in the beginning of the game, inside the cave or something like that, i only see a torch and some rocks glowing, does anyone know how do i fix that?
Btw english is not my first language so there could be some mistakes on the description
were do I find the Updates ?
Im stuck at version 1.0.0
You update the game on your switch to latest version and then dump it onto your PC. There's the quickstarter guide as well I linked. If you have any issues feel free to add me on discord I'll be happy to help you out, ID: wajubalo
Ok I got the game running, until I installed your 60fps pack. After removing the dynamic fps it still wouldn't load. I saw in the sweetmini 1080 readme that it is not compatible with 1.1.2 (plus I am running 1440?) I replaced the dynamic fps and removed the sweetmini folder...and it's running with all the other files! Edit: I see I didn't have the latest update 1.2.0! got it now :)
Perfect, yes 1.2.0 is the version you must have to be compatible with the mod packs. Glad it’s all working for you!
Thanks sr, but i dont know why my 60 fps mod dont work, i do everything but nothing, if i push ctrl+u goes to 60fps but with the emulator like x2 speed, i have the 1.2.0 v of the game, but the mods says that are compatible, idk what its the problem :(
I have the same problem 😢
ever since i used the optimizer none of my mods are not working like whern i did the totk optimizer and swapped back to yours its not working
Mine will only work with version 1.2.0.
Optimizer should work with 1.2.1 and the mods should be compatible with the correct version of totk
when i open the game the cpu usage is 80% but the gpu usage is 0% why??
