Trip to Nagarkot,view tower,club Himalaya,suspension bridge,peace park

Though the 1st day wasn’t that good(because of worst taxi driver and downpour)the next day,I have an excellent morning.The staff brought breakfast in my room and I enjoyed breakfast sitting in the balcony,watching the fog covering the mountains and sun.During check out I was expecting the hotel staff will charge me extra on top of Nrs 3500 because I have ordered malasa tea and some cold drinks which wasn’t include in package.But to my surprise they only charged me Nrs 3500 and I was astound,however I gave them Nrs 4000(Nrs500 extra)for their warm hospitality.My package was Nrs 3500 for 1 day/night for 2 people which includes king sized bed,Mountain View balcony,welcome drinks with fries,breakfast and dinner. After I checked out from the hotel,I searched for the taxi to explore Nagarkot.Luckily I found the very humble driver with a nice car for Nrs 6000 for whole day.we negotiated for a while and deal was finalised on Nrs 5000.It includes going to Nagarkot viewpoint,peace pagoda monastery,suspension bridge,waterfalls,lunch in finest restaurant and drive back to KTM.He was such a nice,honest,down to earth and professional driver that I ended up giving him Nrs 6000 at last.He was so polite while talking with me,opens the car’s door every time we reached the spot,gives me little history about the places which I’m going to visit,drives carefully,wait patiently while I visited the places,car itself is new and clean,puts lots of efforts to listen while I’m talking etc etc.Oh man what an awesome person he is.He literally deserve that extra Nrs 1000 for sure.
1st stop was viewpoint,car can’t go upto the top as the road construction work was in progress.Day was foggy so view wasn’t that clear.2nd stop was peace pagoda,drive from viewpoint to peace pagoda was approx 15 mins downhill.The vibes was so peaceful,quite and serene.I can listen the nature sound so clear.3rd stop was suspension bridge and waterfall and the drive from peace pagoda to suspension bridge was just 5 mins.Bridge was newly opened,many eateries on the both ends of bridge.I go alone upto the other side of bridge as my wife gets sacred because the bridge keeps shaking when people walks on it.We hiked through tall pine and oak forest to go to waterfall,however my wife doesn’t have proper hiking shoe with a grip and she also feels exhausted,we return back from half way.3rd stop was lunch at heritage club Himalaya hotel by ACE,one of the most popular hotel in Nagarkot.Food was ok but the views were again breathtaking and magnificent.After that driver drives me back to KTM.
So this 1day/night short trip to Nagarkot was worth cherishing for though the starting was bit disappointing.All in all it’s such a memorable trip to Nagarkot.
