Trip to Nagarkot,hotel mystic mountain,heavy rain ☔️

When Kathamndu’s weather was getting hot day by day,I decided to cool down myself a bit.After doing some researches,I find out that Nagarkot is the perfect gateway to beat this summer.Without wasting a time I booked the taxi via InDrive app and head towards the Nagarkot for 1 day/1 night trip.To my dismay,my day starts with bad scenario,specially the taxi driver was very unprofessional.He didn’t come in my location,he told me to cancel the ride so that he don’t need to pay commission to InDrive app,music was too loud,car number was different,his car heated up several times so that need to stop many times on the way.The worst part was he was talking in phone while driving in such a dangerous curved road.Totally unprofessional driver I ever encounter till date.
Despite of all this,I hope for the best and the hotel gives me the relief after all that horrible ride.i stayed in Hotel Nagarkot Holiday Inn which was excellent and staffs were friendly,hospitable.Their service was top notch.
I hiked upto Hotel Mystic mountain for lunch and the lunch was delicious,views were breathtaking.what a cool place inside the forest.i wasn’t enough with hike,I wanna explore more about Nagarkot.But suddenly it starts to rain.From the drizzle to downpour,so I come back to hotel and chill out from the balcony looking at the magnificent nagarkot’s views.
Nagarkot is famous for its natural beauty,jungle trek and spectacular view of sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas.
It is also well known for its calm and serene ambience.You also can see mt everest,langtang,gaurishankar,ganesh,Annapurna and other himalaya peaks in clear day.
How to go?
There are 3 ways to reach Nagarkot from Kathmandu: you can take a public bus,go by taxi or private car or hike.
The taxi is a faster, more comfortable way to travel and gets you to Nagarkot in about 1.5 hours.If you book private taxi,there is always a possibility to negotiate the price with the driver.So I suggest you better take taxi via riding apps such as InDrive or Pathao for fixed reasonable price.If you take the public bus, first you will have to take a bus from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur(from ratna park area)and change to another bus bhaktapur(kamalbinayak area)to Nagarkot.travelling time is 4 approx hours
Although, the distance KTM to nagarkot is not that far,because of the hectic traffic condition in KTM and the road from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot is in a steep hilly area,the travelling time might be longer than expected.
So the conclusion is you can reach nagarkot by taking a local bus or taxi.
The taxi takes 2 hours while the bus from Kathmandu to Nagarkot takes 3-4 hours.Hiking will takes approximately 5 hours.
