    If it ain't broke don't fix it.. you love your hair silky straight and you don't have a problem retaining length but if Japanese straightening is not good for your health in some way then I'd say stop

    • @GabbieMorgan
      @GabbieMorgan  6 лет назад +15

      Good point. I’m sure it’s better to not get it than to get it. Either way it’s applying chemicals to your head just like bleach or relaxer. Nothing bad has happened yet though lol

    • @Cassykakes
      @Cassykakes 6 лет назад +4

      BeautyByGabbie you do have nice length tho and pretty hair but I did notice your hair pattern is quite different like it’s mainly straight bt part curly. Maybe it’s from chemical processing. Have you thought about aphogee protein treatment or some other type of treatment to try bring back you natural curls ?you are blessed girl cuz there are girl with your kind of length who literally have to get half of their hair chopped off for neglected trimming and such. hopefully you’ll be keep up w/ your routined trimming etc esp. if you are trying to go natural whether you decide to do the big chop or naw girl that’s a whole different ball game can’t be lazy in that department, I know you mentioned you were being lazy. Bt @ least said it takes dedication indeed!. your hair is too nice to not be given proper tlc girlie 😉💕

    • @none4724
      @none4724 6 лет назад +4

      Lol it's from the Japanese treatment, that's why most of it is straight. there's no bringing back the natural curls. That's why she's growing it out to go natural.

  • @tinyyuki
    @tinyyuki 6 лет назад +305

    Girl just Japanese straighten that hair! From the time you mentioned you are really lazy with your hair means natural hair is not for you. Im not trying to be rude its just natural hair takes daily work and isn't for everybody. Plus i live for you long hair!

      So the hair that grows from her head isn’t for her? And natural hair isn’t even hard. People that think it’s hard work are usually doing the most, all you need is water, conditioner and some oil.

    • @tinyyuki
      @tinyyuki 6 лет назад +5

      BASED ON WHAT SHE HERSELF SAID! If you can't/dont take care of it, its not for you. That can mean a few things as an alternative - straightening, wigs, weave braids.

    You cut off 6 inches, and your hair is still GOALS 😍. I don't think you should go natural unless that's something you really want to do, because your hair is healthy and flourishing the way it is now! I'm natural, and although I love my hair, it is definitely very time consuming to manage.

  • @14clorinda
    @14clorinda 6 лет назад +61

    I can’t speak for ever curly girl, but I personally believe going natural is not hard AT ALL and I have 4c curls witch is supposedly the “ most difficult” hair texture. I believe it takes more work to maintain straight, chemically processed hair than it is your natural hair. I’ll just say if you want your hair straight because you like your hair straight, keep it straight but if your only keeping it straight because you think curly hair is difficult then maybe give curly hair a try, and you’ll see it’s not as difficult as you thought.

    Go natural, I can imagine you with gorgeous big voluminous curls. You can always straighten for the straight look. Idk if I missed it but are you relaxed? Keratin treatment? Also maybe try trimming yourself from the front it’ll give it a slight U in the back that way you have more control lmaoo

      There R bad & good Keratin treatments . So , that would not mix w/ the Japanese Straightener . Her hair might break - off . My hair broke off years ago about 17 - 18 yrs ago . I am not sure why , maybe stress & water too warm (?) . Anyway , my hair lost its thickness !!! My hair was medium thick w/ big waves . IDN want 2 C that happen 2 anyone . Any processes should only B applied to the hair & new growth only . Since , she does not want the hassle , the JS probably is best . I would like 2 know the ingredients of JS & Keratin . My cuz gets that K & her hair was hip length . These days it is shoulder length, dyed & Keratin . That is "Definitely ' not 4 me . I adore super long hair , healthy & thick . Good luck Gabbie ! Love U all ! ---Peace -

    Beautiful hair 💕💞 I respect the natural hair movement because it’s encouraged so many women to realise their natural curls and coils are beautiful, but I hate how some people take it so far to police other people’s hair! Natural hair isn’t for everyone and that’s okay! 😇 at least if people change their mind and want to make the switch there’s lots of resources available now! You do you girl! 😘

    Please go natural 😩😩😩 I've been getting relaxers since I was 5 years old. But my hair was still pretty long & thick. Alot of people were upset when I decided to cut my hair into a short bob & start the process to going natural. I've been transitioning for a year now & it's been the most exciting journey. The best part is once I'm fully natural, if I don't like it I can always go back to relaxers or something. I see your curls coming through!!! Try it. You just might like it 😉

  • @cynthiag4105
    @cynthiag4105 6 лет назад +18

    i would not recommend the cutting guide. there’s a reason why hairstylist cut in sections and start by having you look down when they start a blunt cut. the length at the of your hairline is different from what’s at the nape.
    ps, love your natural textured hair. i would kill for curls like that.

    Natural hair is a time consuming journey- a huge commitment. I have been natural for 14 years and my hair is your length. I live in Florida too. If you do go natural you will eventually be one hair texture which makes it easier to manage. Currently you have 2
    hair textures and that's very hard to maintain. Take a look at Kelsey's ( Glamtwinz) straightening video and she gives you the right products to use to make your natural hair straight.

    Personally, I would stick with the Japanese straightening. I've been natural for almost 21 years (since birth) and I'm tired of it. I kind of want this treatment. You mentioned yourself that you don't like doing anything with your hair. You're going to hate being natural. You can't be as lazy with your hair was you want.

  • @doThatGWalk
    @doThatGWalk 6 лет назад +261

    You should go natural eventually, it will be a good process & you can record more videos & have years of new footage & videos & viewers. Another reason is to avoid chemical damage & to be true to yourself. This is coming from a man's perspective though. Your hair is very long & nice so it's up to you. It will take a while to grow but then your natural curly hair will look very defined when it gets longer.

    • @GabbieMorgan

    Long hair is so rare and gorgeous in this day and age. It's like seeing a unicorn.
    It just depends on what you want. If you really enjoy and love silky smooth hair like you said in the video, I would not advise that you go natural. Hair regret is so freaking painful and scaring and can take literally YEARS to fix/grow out.
    You got yourself a keeper. That man was so patient and did a great job!👏👍😄

    You can have silky straight hair and maintain it being natural... I learned some tips and tricks from the Glamtwinz and Jazmine Brown and they have really long hair as well and so does naturallyneicy.... I used to get relaxers and was use to having my hair silky all the time but now that I know what products to use I can keep my hair straight for about two weeks or more natural!!! You can do it girl!!!!

    I’ve been natural for 10yrs and it’s very simple to straighten my hair. Your hair just has to be TRAINED and used to method you do daily; when i first went completely natural my hair will FRIZZ instantly once I go outside or do any type of activity, but over time it get better and used to it’s natural STATE. My hair doesn’t frizz anymore at all in humidity etc! I just use all ORGANIC products and don’t have to put heat on my hair only once ☝🏽 a month to get my ends clipped. Afterwards I do deep conditioning once week organic hair mask etc and wear it CURLY until it’s time to straighten it again. HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS❣️ ✌🏽

    To me natural is all about ur natural curl pattern so if ur hair doesn't revert back to its curl pattern then its damaged. My hair grew even wen my curl pattern was damaged . To keep ur natural st8 u need anti humidity products. Ur natural looks gr8 n so does ur treated hair. But its all about wat ur happy with. I love wearing my hair st8 too!

    i was in the same boat as you actually. i had the japanese straightening treatment for years and had never seen my hair fully natural so decided to go completely natural. i do miss my straight hair at times but i lovee my curls so much moree my recomendation is try going natural at least once and seeing if it works out but ultimitely its your decision :)

    Your hair would look so amazing curly because you can do so many styles you should grow it while you slowly cut of the ends as they grow

    forget the haters they're just petty cause they cant grow their hair out and if they do they cant maintain it. your straight long hair makes you unique most mixed, hispanic, and black girls tend to have curls even though curls are beautiful nothing wrong with wanting straight hair

    I can't deal with my natural hair. I do mild keratin treatments every 4 months and I keep my curl but it doesn't frizz when its straight. I big chopped from shoulder length then grew it to tailbone length and cut it. I'm growing it back. You and your hair are gorgeous.

    Big Chops aren’t just to get rid of “damaged” hair. It’s also to avoid having two textures of hair that can be hard to manage and so you can learn your natural hair better. Some products your relaxed hair will love, but your natural hair hates and vice versa. It’s just easier to get used to.

    • @GabbieMorgan
      @GabbieMorgan  6 лет назад

      I didn’t just say big chops, I said people that big chop, transition and go natural. But I agree :)

  • @Brittney.Christinee
    @Brittney.Christinee 6 лет назад +1

    It is a lot of maintenance having your natural hair stay straight for a long time without having to constantly put heat on it. I’m transitioning from having hear damaged hair but for me I just personally like how I look with my natural curls. I only straighten my hair maybe 5 times out of the whole year and I just make sure that week that it’s not going to rain or be super humid out lol.

    I've been contemplating the Japanese hair treatment since I saw your first video (years ago) but I had no idea we have the same natural hair texture/type!!! I've watched so many reviews on that treatment and NOBODY had the same natural hair that I do except you so now I have a better idea of what it will look like if I do get it done! Thank you soooo much for showing the details and your natural texture!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    The shower cap is the exact reason that it kinda puffs up. The heat from your scalp and the steam from the shower will build humidity in the cap and make your hair swell up. If you want it to last in the shower and stuff, you'll have to wrap it and tie it down.

  • @leblanchairstudio

    Well you can go natural and not do the big chop go at your own pace. also I got a blowout by the Dominicans ( I think it was a Brazilian blowout not sure)and makes it really silky and straight but your curls will revert back so long as you don’t do it like every week then you will get heat damage but,it makes it easier to manage and I have really coarse hair so that’s something to look into. Glad you’re back girl 💕

  • @brittanyezell

    I definitely think you should continue to let your natural hair grow out, then cut it when it gets to a length comfortable for u 👌🏾... it will be long and strong regardless of the decision u make

    I have relaxed hair that is between mid back length and waist length but I have my natural curls coming in fast. I like to see someone with long relaxed hair and transitioning because it makes me feel better about keeping my two textures. I also live in Florida so it’s very hard to maintain the texture due to the humidity.
