I once had a lady with only half her haircut come to me crying to fix and finish cutting her hair because the Salon she was at previously was making fun of her while she was in their chair! She was so appreciative of what I did for her. Customer Service skills are a must in the hair and makeup industry! Return customer’s are what keeps us in business!
reminds me of my first time at the salon, there were two guys making fun of me the entire time in a different language they thought i didn't understand. They were laughing too, it was horrible. Then not long ago another salon fat-shamed my sister when she recently had a baby. Just awful.
I was so surprised that Rebal was so upfront and stood up for her, hes usually just a goofy recording, clearly he had less patience and doesnt take bullshit for that long, so thank god he goes with Judy who is sometimes too nice for her own good.

That's a front for human trafficking if i ever seen one, the fact they weren't expecting someone wanting to get an actual makeup look to the point they had to WATCH A TUTORIAL because they just aren't actual makeup professionals and only have some makeup bought specifically in case someone actually does come for a makeup appointment, all the men in the room and just all around in general, all the whispering, the paying upfront
@@COINsimp2024 Rightfully sue for documenting a terrible and unprofessional experience... Maybe the Salon shouldn't have behaved that way in the first place and there would be no issue. That payment method is cheating people, who pays for work like that before seeing it? They're scammers and the whole make up experience was unhygienic and unprofessional. The Salon should just be greatful they aren't getting dragged.
The fact that the guy in the back is laughing about how bad the other client looked with the makeup is so weird, does he not realize that means he did a bad job himself? He’s laughing at the client, but he’s really laughing at his own work without realizing it… If he thought it turned out bad, he shouldn’t have asked her to pay for it
Or when they're talking about a client who wanted blonde hair that "didn't go with her skin". Let's be honest here she was probably dark skin or what white people consider dark skin. So they are racist too.
Boy, they have some guts to call themselves make up artists. They completely ignored your skin tone, ripped that tape off so harshly and the result was worse than a vulgarly tanned, crispy fried chicken corpse bride make up on Halloween. They could ruin someone’s wedding day..
KIKIIIII ajajaj justo estaba pensando que lo único que puedo rescatar del video de ella es que le están acariciando la cara y pude llegar a sentirme relajada ajajaj XD
I am an esthetician and makeup artist and was totally shocked about your whole experience. I take an average of 45 minutes to do a bridal makeup and everyone walks away very happy. You should name this place and location so you save others from a disaster like this
And the fact that they would use their own makeup and brushes... I hope they get something like pink eye or worse when they go to do their own makeup the next morning.
I used to be a receptionist at a hair salon and my boss had an enforced policy that her stylists and other employees were not supposed to have conversations with each other when clients were in the salon. You engaged with your client, and always, always remember, that's a person in your chair, not just a head of hair.
Absolutely true! Although I miss the days when I had worked in a salon for so many years that my clients knew the other stylists AND their regulars, and we’d all have one big conversation. Those are the kind of bonding moments that keep clients coming back, even if they’re just discussing their daily soap opera. lol
@@Miss_Camel that’s why I like going to the salon. You can just sit and talk. I’m 15, so the hairdressers are adults, but they still engage in a long conversation about everything and nothing. The thing is, a teen, adults don’t really hold up conversation with us, except for our parents. I miss being able to that, since the virus stop us from socializing.
@@Miss_Camel that would happen often at the salon I worked at! We had many regular and loyal clients and we would all socialize with each other. The policy that my boss was very strict about was making sure her stylists and staff treated the clients as people, with respect and compassion, and were always cognizant of who was around if we needed to discuss business matters. It was a wonderful work environment😊
They said something along the lines of her being attractive as well, maybe they purposefully messed up? I haven’t seen the ending yet so I’m not sure how well they do makeup.. considering her brushes haven’t been cleaned since she bought them

I think they were able to get through this (mostly) because it wasn’t ACTUALLY a trial for a real wedding 😢 imagine if you were coming to these people for your real bridal makeup! How stressed out and heartbroken you would feel:(
Her brushes were NOT clean. She used DIRTY brushes on you. When she opened her “makeup brushes” none of them were clean. That would have made me walk. The very first rule in professional makeup is to start with clean brushes, you have no idea who she has used those on, where and what they touched. She literally could have passed staph infection, conjunctivitis and a slew of other things just with her brushes. You are more patient than me.
The reason they made you pay first is so you couldn't just leave. It means they can f around, be 40mins late and treat you awfully because you've already given them money so they don't care.
Possibly. I used to do hair and makeup for years before I changed career. Never in my professional career as a cosmetologist have I witnessed a client pay in advance though. Anyone who goes into a salon and asked this should immediately leave.
@@bonniehowell4259 couldn't agree more! I felt physically sick watching this. As a professional makeup artist, this REALLY upsets me. They're not only being SO RUDE to their clients, but they're also leaving a bad image on this profession. This is why so many people think our service is "not worthy" or it's really expensive when they want to get their makeup done: because in so many places people are doing it in a very poorly way, and I'm not only talking about it skill wise, but also from the clients perspective. Professionalism is key, your client is supposed to leave with a big smile on their face. Also, Judy, from the clients perspective, I don't think you should keep doing this, because you're putting in danger your own skin. During the pandemic makeup artists from all around the world have had to change and upgrade their hygiene practices, and this people are not doing it, clearly. Unfortunately here in Latin America (I'm from Argentina btw) people are not taking it as serious as they should. Just want you to stay safe ❤
as a professional do you honestly think the pricing for getting your makeup done isn't a bit too expensive? not trying to be rude just asking as i often do feel like it isn't worth it, not because of the outcome necessarily but because in some cases it seems almost ridiculously expensive if you want a good look and not something like what she got here. i just feel like makeup you wear for a day shouldn't be that expensive (obviously not talking about luxury places). as this is your profession i'm sure you value it a lot more than the average person and i would like to know your honest opinion!
Agreed. I never went to a makeup artist nor will i ever go to one. No offense but all my friends have gone to almost every makeup artist in my city (which us a very small one ngl) and they all were so AWFUL. I hated the way they did the makeup, it looked like they splashed a ton of color that looks like their skin on them. It was horrible
@@edelleaa hi there! Tbh I can't speak for the actual pricing of the service since it may change depending on where you live. But generally speaking, there's a lot of things a makeup artist need to consider when it comes to pricing their services just like: experience, their kit (which is not only composed by the products itself bit also your equipment such as a digital camera/phone, ring light (or any sort of light), chair, hygiene equipment, which is really important and mostly nowadays), transportation (which is charged apart from the service price), knowledge (in which may also be included the courses you've taken) and time (not only the one spent during the service, but also the time you spend cleaning and disinfecting your kit, getting to the location, practicing, studying, etc). So, as you can see it's a very long list of things that we have to take into account when it comes to charging. From the client's perspective I can totally understand why people think the service can be a bit overpriced, since people don't know how much it costs to build your kit and educate yourself. Also, when I mentioned that makeup artist take into account their experience for setting their pricing, you have to take into account that a very well recognized artist will charge more than a "regular" one. For example, let's say that Patrick Ta (celeb MUA) and I are in LA. Patrick will charge more than me, because of his experience, kit and recognition. Apart from all that, I do think that some people/places may be charging a lot higher than they should, but it's probably because they're not being ethical about it, which is unprofessional in my opinion. What I suggest you is to, whenever you want to get your makeup done, do a little bit of a research beforehand. Look at the MUA's social media, we usually post not only our looks but also pics/videos of our kit, so that people know which brands we use and if we do the proper hygiene practices. Look at their work, the way they speak and treat their clients, their kit, etc. It's all important when it comes to being professional, and as a client you shouldn't expect less than that. Sorry for such a long response, just wanted to be very clear ❤

I was taught how to do makeup in cosmetology school in 1988-1989. I was raised by my grandmother who never taught me how to use makeup so I was grateful to learn the correct way. That being said, I have always hated foundation because of how heavy it feels on my face. So most of my life has been very minimal makeup. Then I had a very traumatic event and stopped wearing all makeup for almost 20 years. Fast forward to 2023, my daughter’s best friend was getting married and I was honored as a mother #2 in her life. So, now I have to get makeup for the wedding because mine is old and crusty… Talking to my daughter and watching many videos on makeup I realized the very procedure for applying makeup was completely different. So I watched and bought way more makeup than I’ll use in a lifetime. All that being said, the basic principles of applying makeup are the same. I thought I did a really good job and I looked nice. Now I’ve stumbled upon you… poor poor suffering you! I cannot fathom what these people were thinking. I am no longer in the work force, but I cannot help wanting to reach though the tv and slap these people! And the cost is way too much for what their results are. So, if you are ever in California, swing by and I’ll do your makeup for free♥️ You’re a beautiful girl inside and out and deserve to be treated respectfully.

I can’t believe they would not only insult their clients but share literal pornography with a bride to be sitting right there and when the supposed MUA said “we can hear you” one of them was like “then put on music” 😮
Not even that, I only do my own makeup and I probably won't know how to do makeup on someone that is like 60 years old like a professional makeup artist that knows all types of skin, but even I can do so much better than this. This is another level like she just watched 2 makeup tutorials and only know the name of the products
Yeah. I don't think she has even watched enough RUclips to know how to blend eyeshadow or how to match foundation. Then again, you don't have to be a genius to match foundation.
It reminds me how sweet a soul you are, you see the good in nearly every situation, and even here kept trying to give the benefit of the doubt, and they just could not get it together. Glad you do share these experiences because it exposes them, and they deserve it for the things they openly, LOUDLY, said about clients in the presence of another client.

@@1MissEllyLove It could be a front for anything illegal. Literally anything.
Just want you to stay safe ❤
truuuuuuuuuuuue
as a professional do you honestly think the pricing for getting your makeup done isn't a bit too expensive? not trying to be rude just asking as i often do feel like it isn't worth it, not because of the outcome necessarily but because in some cases it seems almost ridiculously expensive if you want a good look and not something like what she got here. i just feel like makeup you wear for a day shouldn't be that expensive (obviously not talking about luxury places). as this is your profession i'm sure you value it a lot more than the average person and i would like to know your honest opinion!

I'm convinced after seeing the foundation she put on you that she used her own makeup, brushes, and EVERYTHING that she brought to work to do her OWN makeup that day.. on you.
I cant even lie I thought the same thing. It reminded me of a small overnight bag myself friend used to have she would have all her makeup in it and she would get the roll out just like that and do her makeup as needed in the car when we went places. 😂

This is a front shop for something else. That wasn’t a make-up artist and she was using her private make-up. They went to grab their own make-up and brushes. This is crustal clear and there is no doubt about this shop being more than shady.
Instead of getting frustrated, I would have stayed till the end and try to document it the best I could, ask questions and go to the police later. I would also show the video to the health department.
Of course it is a scam, it’s not what they say they are. Even the worst makeup artist has at least makeup and brushes there.

I'm nieve and need to know what these businesses are actually doing? Do they somehow kidnap women or sell drugs or something? Or are a way to get foreigners a "job" on paper?
@@1MissEllyLove It could be a front for anything illegal. Literally anything. Money laundering is most likely, as that's what physical locations are generally used for, though what illegal activity(s) they are laundering the money from would be up in the air. Kidnapping women is extremely unlikely; that would be easily traced to them if a bunch of women kept disappearing after going to get their makeup done. It'd be much more mundane like drugs or prostitution.
