I have hunting gloves very similar to those gloves. I use them for everything! Love them!
That's so cool my cousin's Sarah and Victor just came back from there right around the same time you were in Antarctica.
vallerret gloves are also another option for gloves that can be opened at finger tips, I use it everytime when im out in the cold
I agree with the polarizers. I just added some to my bag for an upcoming trip to Switzerland. I just watched your Alaska cruising video. I am glad you stopped in Sitka. My Dad lives there and, blind and 86, still gives walks for cruse ship visitors. I visited a few years ago and had had a great week of photography. I also had my National Geographic moment in Alaska. We were anchored up off the end of Admiralty Island on my Brother in Laws boat. A pod of whales started to bubble feed 100 yards from us. What a moment!
Totally agree on the Zeiss lens wipes. I always carry a few in my bag as they are easy to use and very good at cleaning the lens spotless. I've even dismantled 3 of my lenses and cleaned the internals with those wipes, removing fungus. Highly recommend 👍🏼

I saw the Field Made stickers about a year ago and got a set for my Nikon gear. So convenient and helpful when looking down at my pack filled with a few lenses to instantly pick out the correct one. Thanks for the Vigor glove info. I have a set of mitts, and a few insulated gloves with flip back finger and thumb tips, but I think your solution is much better. Always great videos. Safe travels!!
I have a camera strap that has a pocket inside, so I always put my lens caps in there! Love the stickers though, that's so handy! 👌🏻

Totally agree.. In super cold weather we need gloves to protect our hand/fingers. But I cant operate the camera with gloves. Especially on my right hand since the right finger has to press the buttons usually. So I always end up only glove on my left hand and right hand is bare naked. I just did a trip last mth to Finland and man.. - 20 is cold..

My system for not losing the lens cap (I know it won’t work for everyone) is when I take off a lens cap, it goes in my left back pants pocket, since I rarely put anything else in there. Later, when it’s time to put the lens cap on, I know it’s always in that pocket. I wanted a method that would work even if I’m shooting standing up in the field without a camera bag.

Lake Tahoe local here. Did not know to use a polarizing filter to get clear lake shots. Will purchase and drive down to the lake!

How do you use the Zeiss lens wipes? Directly on your lens? Do you follow up with a microfiber cloth? I tried them on eyeglasses, and they left a smeary finish.
I personally think the stickers do look cool however I think it as a useless investment as mostly when I am shooting in the dark I just put whatever lens caps I have from my other lenses so using these in dark and putting the wrong lens caps would confuse me in long run

I want to add a telephone lens that goes beyond the 400 of my 100-400 GM. I'm thinking I'll go with the 200-600. I rented it a couple of weeks ago and found it sharper than the 100-400 with 1.4x. I'll check out some of the accessories mentioned in your video.

Great insights! Quick question: if I understand well, you have to get a license to use the drone every place where you travel because of its weight? Is this an easy process? Thanks!
It really depends on the location. Many countries have restrictions based on weight but that weight varies everywhere, from as little as 249g up to 25kg, and a lot of times the restriction is just that the drone needs to be registered vs. getting a specific permit. The hardest part about drone flying is just figuring out the rules everywhere 🙃
The latest addition to my camera bag is a Sony A7R5. Not so recent, though. I bought it around Christmas. Seems like everyone went to Antarctica lately. Still on my bucket list.
The A7R5 looks so nice. The screen! I want it on all of my cameras.

Polarizing lens or ND filter? Which is better to use?
They serve different purposes. Polarizer will cut out glare, ND darkens the overall image allowing you to slow your shutter speed. It depends which of those is more important to you!

I’ve been watching your videos since you were car camping in Kalaloch Park. Really enjoying them. I would like your opinion on upgrading to my Nikon to a camera that will shoot video. I’ve narrow my choices down to three: Sony ZV-E10, Nikon Z30, and a Canon EOS R10
Which would you choose if you were me? I will never shoot at a profession level but want to capture good photos and video on my trips.

I'm not super familiar with the Nikon and Canon models you mentioned so it's hard to advise there, but I would look into the lenses available for each mount and decide based on that. In the long run you will end up investing more in lenses than the body itself. One of the reasons I love Sony is there are a lot of (more affordable) third party lens options (especially Tamron and Sigma) available for their E mount. If you can, go see all three cameras in store, there may be one that just feels more intuitive to handle!
