Well done to the only RUclips presenter who can make a "What's in my bag" entertaining and fun whilst accurately explaining the features. I do enjoy all your videos
You've sold me with the tripod, so much so I looked around at quite a few and always came back to this one due to the size, weight and price. It's just turned up today and I hope to put it to good use very soon. Also, why is the algorithm not picking up this channel? It's really very good, full of personality.
You have an awesome sense of humour Courtney! Very impressive bag - especially for shopping and sock storage. Great video and love your photographic work.
I try to avoid reviews but because you posted it I thought I'd give it a try. You didn't disappoint you're an amazing presenter you take the mundane and make it interesting and informative.
@@CourtneyVictoria Your content was fine what I meant was in general I don’t watch reviews on RUclips. Most reviewers are boring like camera reviews are all the same specs and more specs. Your reviews aren't like that at all, I mean who would have thought to put a bag of chips into the pocket of the bag. ☺
I am loving your videos. I am learning so much. I love your funny little snippets you add in, and especially you trying to break the green branch over your knee. And you are a great dancer!
Even when it'a a "what's in my bag" video you have a knack of making people laugh Courtney So professional in every aspect of your work, Can't wait for more of the same.
I always find these "What's in my camera bag" videos very useful because I always find something that I haven't thought of before and yours is no exception, added to the fact that your videos are always fun. Thanks for sharing it
You are a very likable , and funny wee loon , and a bloody good photographer . I really like your posts , as they are very informative , and most entertaining .
Love this video, great kit and fantastic presentation, you’re a natural in front and behind the lens, I love a light hearted video, especially with awesome dance moves 😉
Wow… that is one of the most enjoyable videos about «What´s in my Camera bag» I have seen here on RUclips. 👏 New subscriber. Greetings from Northern Norway 🇳🇴
A very in-depth review, focusing on the most important aspects of a good well thought-out photography rucksack. I especially like how it also doubles as an excellent hiking rucksack as well. I absolutely love the presentation skills of your videos, as the mixture of humour and expertly presented facts make watching your videos very enjoyable indeed! I purchased my Vanguard tripods after watching one of your other videos, and now it looks like I’ll also be purchasing a Vanguard photography rucksack too!
Thank you Courtney! On the strength of your recommendation I have bought the Veo Active 53... (I always tend to overpack). It is, as you brilliantly present, an awesome bag but now I have to go to the gym to prepare for hiking round Dorset with the weight of it all. 😀 I have my D800, the so called 'Trinity' of f2.8 lenses, my tripod, gimbal and various other bits which kicks the weight up to nearly 15Kg. 🏋♀ Very comfy bag though.
Thanks to you, I almost spewed coffee on my laptop this morning pfffft... lol :)))) Your facial expressions and humor are priceless. On to the serious side, though, I broke down and bought a Lowepro BP 450 last year because it is built like a tank and also opens in a variety of ways (none of which adorn my back with snow or mud). I an older guy from the Dust Era, so, yes, I have found that hiking in with the Lowepro tends to leave a lasting impression on my neck and shoulders, for the size and weight of my Olympus gear is still not exactly negligible. I like the removable interior bag in your Vanguard but since I tend to take eeeeverything with me, including my long glass, I wanted something akin to mini-storage on my back. Sadly, the well-kept two-knock secret has yet to yield additional glass or even snacks in my bag, so that must be a Vangaurd feature only! :)))
I was not looking for a bag but you had me at the first “theft proof “. Very funny i would keep at least one pair of socks. and good dance moves ❤your sense of humor 😅
I spent a little extra to get a well made, padded, rear access bag a few years ago and I'm glad I did. Comfortable, practical, and it seems like it will last a very long time.
I really enjoy your videos. I like the way your channel shows people you do not need the latest gear. THe gear you use was great years ago and it still works. You gotta tell us about that sonyrx100. Which one do you use? DO NOT PRETEND LIKE YOU DIDN'T SHOW US THE BATTERIES!! HAHAHA
Oh my gosh haha! I don't have a Sony RX 100 I'm afraid. I use the Sony ZV-1 for filming and have a bunch of third party batteries for it (because the Sony ones aren't cheap ha)
She has moves!! Nice pack and I need to get a pack so I will have to look into that one. Get yourself a fool safe at tripod stone bag from Amazon. They are cheap and work at giving tripods that stability. Easy on and easy off. Don’t weigh hardly anything either.
Thanks Courtney for a great presentation/review of your new bag which looks amazing....I just love your videos & your clear & funny comments always make me laugh.... great moves with your dancing as well... keep up the good work & look forward to more of your videos... cheers from Australia 😀❤️
Okay, I totally lost with the “not kidnap proof” 🤣🤣 The most entertaining camera backpack review, ever! I think Vanguard equipment is underrated and great bang for the buck value! Thanks for the vid, and keep practicing those dance moves!💃 😁
Wow you are so funny and sweet. I tried to shake my bag but I think I did it wrong. Just a lot of dust came out and a dead muse. I think he was alive before I shook the bag, Your dancing har improved a lot
Nice video I like your touches of entertainment. I have a rear access backpack as well and I like it only mine is a Think Tank Photo Backstory 13. LOL on the keys I have done that before, put them in a 'pocket" and they do the disappearing act 😆 thankfully my current bag has a key leash clip on the inside. On the "Kit" lens nothing wrong with using them I have used them for years on my Nikons, Canons and now my Sony camera.
I have a Vanguard bag and am very impressed with it. It holds my 4x5 perfectly, along with a 135mm and 210mm, both on lens boards and wrapped. The top compartment holds the light meter, loupe, cable releases and focusing cloth. The film holders have to come along for the ride in a separate bag. I've found the Vanguard design to be very innovative, far more so than the Lowepros or Think Tanks that I also own. There are more dividers than I could ever possibly use. I am very, very happy with it. Thank you for validating that someone else out there has a Vanguard. BTW, the bag is an Alta Sky 51D.
Thank you Courtney for showing us your backpack, that looks like a fantastic and VERY well designed camera bag. My last two bags have also been rear accessed which is now a major requirement when shopping for new ones. This one now went to the top of my list of future considerations.
Adam Gibbs has won recognition for images he took with the 24-120 f4 when he was shooting a D850. Whatever is "wrong" with the 24-120, it's insignificant as regards taking pictures as opposed to fulfilling lens test charts.
Enjoyed the video as usual Courtney. Love your sense of humour. The vanguard bags are very good and made well. I bought the roll top one which is great for putting your jacket etc in.
Your videos always make me chuckle. I have the Vanguard Alta Sky 53. Great bag. If all Vanguard products are as good as this bag then I need to consider their other products as well. I like the rear opening. That way I don’t have to worry about where I place my bag when pulling a camera out. The wet and muddy side isn’t going to be against my back.
Just came across your channel really like how you produce your content.. I do still have that Nikon 24-120 F4 and love that lens . Have subscribed so looking forward to more content...
Over the years I have accumulated a rather large number of camera bags (and general daypacks, backpacks, fannypacks, and slings) and other carry options. When asked as to why so many, I say they mostly have different applications and that I pick the one that best suits the needs of any particular outing & equipment taken. If I was to only have one bag, I would pick a rear opening bag with a roll top. My newest rear opening bag features a molle attachment system that has proven very easy to expand & adapt with inexpensive and varied military tactical pouches and "stuff". That said, my cheap, extra large Endurax backpack continues to get the most use because it holds my 150-600mm lens, a bunch of other gear, and is still classed as a carry-on for airtravel.
Ok, you've now officially sailed up to the top five of my favourite RUclips photography channels, along Nick Carver, Sean Tucker and a couple of others (There may be 10 channels in my Top5).
I was considering the Nikon 14-24 f2.8 but in the end I bought the 15-35 f4 like yours. My main reasons? 1) weight. The 14-24 is gorgeous but most boat anchors are lighter. 2) the front lens is difficult to protect in a harsh environment. 3) the inability to use standard filters. I’m quite happy with my decision so far.
The best bag ever. You can walk very lightly. If you need your grear you can simply shake it and it's there in short time. We don't worry about the weight of our gear anymore. They have also better version which can give your grear quasi instantly - only with secret word. But it's more expensive 🤣.
I really lidentify with your comment re the 24-120 Nikon lens. It is all I can afford along with my 'pre-owned D750' and as I only view images on my screen and post them on Facebook I am really happy with it. Like your entertaining style, thanks.
I can't say any better than another commenters. Great presentation, thorough, and entertains. Those yellow colour is weak against cheese flavour snack's crumb, though
Having trouble with the link to vanguardworld, kee being told it's not secure. Great entertaining video, I'm looking for straps like that for my bag to attach a tripod.
You're nuts! I love watching your videos, they always give me a giggle. You should've been a comedian. The backback, yes it opens at the back. But I've taken my Veo 49 out for street photography, I've worn it on my front, like a "papoose". It's a 49 so a little larger, but I was quite surprised how comfy it was and also how easy to get my camera out so quickly without taken the "frontpack" off.
I’d never go back to a front loading bag. Got tired of walking around with a muddy back. I have several fstop Gear bags and love the removable innards. I keep all my astrophotography gear in one insert and just swap it out when I go out for a night of night photography.
This is my 1st viewing of your work. Love it! Keep them coming! My interests lie slightly askew of your focus, but I'm interested in your take on your passions. Gear is key and I'd like more insight from others!
Hi ! The 16-35mm is agreat lens ! The 24-120mm I got as Kit lens with my D750. Mostly there's the 16-35mm , the 80-400mm and the Micro 60mm in my bag. I want that bag. I can just shake it and get all the gear I need…..and food too if I’m hungry on an outdoor venture. 😅
The “bag shaking” gag is a very “Mary Poppins” moment.
My favorite thing about camera bags? I can use one for months, even years, and then suddenly find something in it that I thought if lost forever.
You've sold me with the tripod, so much so I looked around at quite a few and always came back to this one due to the size, weight and price. It's just turned up today and I hope to put it to good use very soon.

Great bag and great review - great dance moves too!
love the puns, and the magic trick with the insert pouch, great satire on the whole thing.
Looking new bag so thanks for tbe recommendation. & a D750 with 16-35 f/4 is my main set up, great for shooting buses and trains.
Enjoyed your video! Gave me some great ideas on what to put in my camera bag.
Love the videos and love your sense of humor. Great videos.
Informative while humorous. Many thanks. I’ll have to look at the Vanguard line of camera bags.
great video, I like that insert bag in the bag feature p.s. loved the dedication to the magic trick bit, subscribed
Have to love your humour Courtney. One of the reasons why I love your videos, as well as your photography of course🙂
Based on your enthusiasm and discount code I’ve just bought a Vanguard bag!
The dancing was great, it's all about emotion!
The hidden compartment at 9:20 is good for a plastic board where you can sit/kneel on wet ground ...
Very entertaining and well watchable

I just got the Tarion pb-01 pro, it is huge carries all I need and more, well built too. I was a Lowepro fan but Tarion for me now!
Yep, the Tarion Pro PB-01 is a far more versatile and better designed bag than the Vanguard, and for half the price!
My first camera bag was a Vanguard and it's still in use after 30 years
I have an older Vanguard bag that I quite like, and I have a Vanguard tripod. Always good equipment.
Great review, must say I’ve never considered Vanguard but looks pretty good! Your videos are so entertaining!
Over 10.000 subs already! Gratulations :)
Thank you!

Whats in my bag ........ to include dancing in my wellies! (next video are they really that good) Brilliant :)
I've got the Vanguard sky alta 53

But for nature and landscape, I think the 16-35mm is great.
Step down to f8 and use a tripod make you happy.
great video, great bag! I'll try shaking my head, maybe some decent set of brains will finally pop in 😅
