Loving this content! I would love to see a video breaking down your pre-wedding process. From when you first get an inquiry to the wedding day. How you plan to film a wedding and tell that story. That would be super helpful! Thanks for the content.
I know someone selling these information video in the course and selling it for grands and you guys giving it for free. Kudos to you and Nate. Keep them coming please ❤
Solid video. I'll take the lowepro protactic 450 anyday over the PM. Love the audio tips and the card reader/holder. I'm going to look into those. For your battery problem, I'd look into the FXLION Mini Multi Voltage Portable Rechargeable Battery. It's got USBC/A and Dtap. But the cool thing is that it's about the size of a cage handle and has two 1/4" mounting holes. Easy to mount anywhere, small footprint. A couple of those and your good to go for almost the whole day.
Possibly consider an editing tutorial which could range from 10 mins to 1 hour. I'd sit and watch that no problem (I like long form content). This could range from you explaining your workflow and why you chose those shoots to be next to each other, rec709 conversion (still don't know what that is) and then your colour grade process, how to save certain clips if they're overexposed, the sound design and fixing audio issues like planes flying in the background (in your previous videos) and much more I'd like to see the inner workings of your mind as you edit Thank you both for so much everything you've provided already! You guys are a god send 🙏🏻
LOVE this channel! Have loved your content since the begging of your FTF journey. Would love to hear more about the business side of booking weddings too such as getting clients, raising your rates or even tax benefits for videographers like write offs and such. Thanks for putting the time and effort into your content that you do! It’s much appreciated and does not go unnoticed 💪🏼
something to keep in mind with track e app, always make sure it's not muted, if you leave the app open, you can brush something in your pocket against it and can turn off the mic's audio, I scoured redit to discover the problem and solution. Luckily I had back up audio. I also carry a battery charger just in case as you never know if your batteries choose to malfunction day of and then you can charge it while using the camera, without switching batteries.
Thank you for a wonderful video! Absolutely incredible. Please make "The full audio setup" video on your channel. I currently have a Panasonic DMW-XLR1 adapter, Sennheiser MKE600 for an On-camera shotgun, Rode Wireless Pros for Wireless and In-Tx audio recording device, Zoom H6 for ceremony and DJ boards, Zoom H1N for backup. I am constantly thinking that this is not enough as I cannot decide when to use which! lol. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing this, great nuggets of information! I have the Peter McKinnon Backpack 42L and love it; it replaced at least 2 or 3 bags I was using when I purchased it about 4 years ago and was able to pack 3 DSLRs with grips, prime lenses from 20mm to 300mm, multiple triggers, batteries, card readers, holdster,, tethering cables, laptop, you name it, it was in there lol. Anyway, didn't mean to make this comment about the backpack, but it's just that good, and thanks again for this content!
My favorite wedding video hack is my Anker Powercore III 20k and a right-angled anker usb-c cable. The power bank is slim enough to fit in my back pocket and I just plug that usb-c cable into my FX3 and I have power all day and never have to change batteries without having to rig it out with a cage and bulky v-mount battery. It has PD and supplies enough power to both power the camera and charge the battery. Never changing Batteries on the FX3 has changed the game for me if you're willing to deal with the cable.
wonderful video bro. i really love your videos i look out for them every week now. we would Definity love full video's of everything you carry to a wedding next
Great video, Jake! I run a very similar setup to what you are running, except that I’m using Canon - two R6M2s and an R5C, which also devours batteries. I use an Anker PowerCore+ 26800 mAh battery for the R5C. After seeing your last video, I put all of my audio gear into a sling bag, which I wore the whole day. This really helped with transitions since I’m usually shooting video solo. I’m using a long Pelican case and a rolling Pelican Air for gear transport, but the McKinnon bag looks really cool. Sized for carry-on?
Hi jake!! please make a video how to match the video clip with the audio beat and sfx perfectly in every situation like weeding ,travel, vlogging, shortfilm..anything related..
Same-day teaser and next-day turnaround - does this refer to the weddings? If so that is extremely impressive!!! How are you able to achieve these good results so quickly?
Saludos desde Sudamérica - Paraguay, continua con estos videos que nos ayuda muchísimo en que invertir para poder seguir mejorando los contenidos para boda y eventos sociales..
Awesome video thanks Jake! I absolutly love your videos and the information i take away from. I follow Parker, Landon and you such a long time, never commented on any video. You are all my role models! (=> "Outside in Studio" also, i dont know if you know them?! :) But if i have the chance; I've always wondered in which mode you use the DJI RS2 and what exactly the settings are. Unfortunately, I still work as an employed photographer (for a large online bathroom retail shop in Germany) and would like to do more freelance video. We also have an RS2 at work and I have nothing but problems with it. I avoid using this. I have more experience with the Glidecam, but I would still like to give the RS2 a chance. I already have experience with wedding videography, but people in Germany are quite stubborn and don't accept the prices for video as much as for photos. In Germany, video still doesn't seem to be accepted, unlike in the USA. I've already had poorly paid weddings and been taken advantage of wherever possible. I haven't done weddings since then - also because of the stress. I hope to be able to do more like this again one day and maybe even welcome a second videographer to my company. Thank you for the video and for the motivation you regularly give me not to throw everything away! It means everything to me, also because i love what i do, if the outcome is good.
I'm thinking of picking up a zve1 as B cam for weddings to pair with my a7iv but I'm scared of over heating ? video review or thoughts on how you like yours so far ?
Should i buy a tamron 24-70 or a samyang 35-150? I've heard incredible things from both, but idk what to pull the trigger. Also, why don't you add a smallrig V-mount under camera adapter for the the fx3? or even a powerbank to charge it via USB c? What drone do u guys use?
I actually have both and FULLY agree about the space of the Nomatic bag. I use my Wandrd for my photo kit and the Nomatic for my video kit (bc video obviously requires a lot more gear).
The sony batteries are the worst, so what I do is have an 1/4-20 attachment with phone holder on my weebil s to a 20,000mah battery pack to constantly charge my a7siii and that has prevented me from having to switch out batteries every 2 hours during a wedding day.
Your colours are great, but I am seeing this video on MacBook Air, full screen light power and it looks dark. Love the content, just wanted to pass on feedback.
Can you do a video on 4K vs 1080p for weddings? I shoot 4k60 for my highlight reels and 1080 for the ceremony and reception speeches. Does anyone do the same?
I would never switch quality, only fps, throughout a project. What's the thought process on why you shoot the ceremony and reception speeches in 1080? You obviously are delivering in 1080 so why wouldn't you want, at the very least, the extra crop factor for the ceremony and reception footage that 4K would give you? I love having the center cam at the ceremony at 4K so you have a wide and medium shot of the couple down the aisle. I personally shoot most of the day at 4K60 and shoot speeches and vows (if they are reading them separately prior to the ceremony) at 4K24.
Hey Runaway Vows , very good video . I can do better editing in your videos which can help you to get more engagement in your videos . Pls lmk what do you think ?
Best wedding videographer content on the Tube
Thank you 🫶🏻
I feel like Justin Porter is good, but he gives us just enough to barley. Scratch the surface.
wow thank you, means a lot!
Yes, would love a video on your’s and Nate’s full rig. Thanks!!! 🎥
We will be so happy to see your all equipment for wedding day.
I’ll make it happen
Yes we want to see everything please… great video again guys… thank you.

Please drop that video. Needed like yesterday! Appreciate you Jake
I know someone selling these information video in the course and selling it for grands and you guys giving it for free. Kudos to you and Nate. Keep them coming please ❤
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
Solid video. I'll take the lowepro protactic 450 anyday over the PM. Love the audio tips and the card reader/holder. I'm going to look into those. You should get a small door stopper. I do real estate videography and it is a lifesaver! Not sure if that would ever apply to weddings but can’t hurt
Thank you for a wonderful video! Absolutely incredible. Please make "The full audio setup" video on your channel. Would love to see your lighting kit!
thank you (x 10 and more), love love not only your gear, but its arrangement. and yes please drop the video

Your backpack alone is worth more than all my equipment. hahahaha
Love your content man! Could you possibly make a video on how to use that audio equipment?

Surprised you guys went with the ZVE1, looks like a great little c cam, but only single card slot is a no go for me.
thanks for the video! What processing do you do to your audio? Lowpass filter? sounds good, I have the same mic.
The color grade on your "interview" shots is beautiful! So clean!!
This is the channel I needed
love hearing this
Let’s see all of the equipment!!
We would love to see a full breakdown 🎉❤
Noted 🎉

I want that video!!! FOR SURE!!!!

Love to hear it! And yes the McKinnon backpack will never give you any issues on a flight!
Loving the new talking head setup!
yeah wanted to try something new so I tried my living room! Thanks man!
Do you rig up your camera? The small rig smart v mount batteries are amazing. Way better than changing out batteries.
Travel kit por favorite 🙌🏼

I absolutely love this video Jake! Please do make a video of everything you take to a wedding
Let’s see everything that you guys pack please. In depth
Awesome job! Super cool!
Full Kit please
So glad you got your own channel
I felt this wonderful feeling in my mind, body and soul when she said “I prefer kislux
The common theme of these videos is Nate losing equipment 🤣
Since you said that the FX3 chews through batteries, do you choose not to invest in battery grips to save money, time, or space?
Hey im curious to know why you choose to film with a higher shutter speed instead of doubled frame rate with a "natural" motion blur?
Awesome video thanks Jake! I absolutly love your videos and the information i take away from.
I follow Parker, Landon and you such a long time, never commented on any video. You are all my role models! (=> "Outside in Studio" also, i dont know if you know them?! :)

I'm from India, learning cinematography with Sony A7iv,please make a tutorial video of how to set perfect exposure and slog3 setting
Interesting choice to run a ev-1 as a c and d cam. Wondering if you would run into over heating issues....
Probably but our C and D cams aren’t used for that long at a time so it should be fine. At least it has been so far
Hell YEAH this are the videos that we need
Glad you found it valuable my guy!
Need that full break down please and the process of how you went to more of a minimalist setup
Noted 🎉
I'm thinking of picking up a zve1 as B cam for weddings to pair with my a7iv but I'm scared of over heating ? video review or thoughts on how you like yours so far ?
The Sony ZV-E1 is brilliant, we just got one too and loving it!
excellent camera!
Hey bro, quick question. What system do you use to store your final video or raw videos? And how long do you keep them for?
WOW. Didn't realize Jake hated Pelican so much. Guess I'll have to sell mine now.
Hahahha THATS A DAMN LIE AND YOU KNOW IT
I come in this fill from watched to you
Should i buy a tamron 24-70 or a samyang 35-150? I've heard incredible things from both, but idk what to pull the trigger.
Also, why don't you add a smallrig V-mount under camera adapter for the the fx3? or even a powerbank to charge it via USB c? What drone do u guys use?
Been looking at the ZVE1 for some time now (maybe pairing it with the 50mm 2.5) so I look forward to hearing more about how you guys get on with it
yeah I'll definitely be dropping a review!
a packing video would be awrsome
Awesome vid! Do you keep nd filters on the lenses for weddings? Any filters you do use?
Nice setup! I rock the Wandrd Provke bag which I love, but man I'm really tempted to get the Peter Mckinnon bag for how much extra space is there
I actually have both and FULLY agree about the space of the Nomatic bag. I use my Wandrd for my photo kit and the Nomatic for my video kit (bc video obviously requires a lot more gear).
@@joshrexford that’s good to know. Thanks for the input!
Yah Nomadic fits a lot more!
show everything next please
I wanna know what lens you’re using for this video!
0:25 yessirrrr, give it to us pls 🤝
How do you guys generate time code with the Zoom F3? Through the audio jack?
Will there come a video of nates back pack and the case?
Editing tutorial please and thank you.
On what??
Can you do your settings for you cámara please ❤❤❤
Finally

@@JakeWeisler yes

On the way 🎉
Can we get the everything you bring to a wedding video
Since you changed cameras, Strange that you didn’t go for the Sony A7siii
I just knew the A7s4 is about to come out
Another video all your setup
Your colours are great, but I am seeing this video on MacBook Air, full screen light power and it looks dark. Love the content, just wanted to pass on feedback.
Scopes are fine on my end - maybe it’s your monitor. Pull it up on an iPhone
Can you do a video on 4K vs 1080p for weddings? I shoot 4k60 for my highlight reels and 1080 for the ceremony and reception speeches. Does anyone do the same?

They’re just stickers! Fieldmade Co makes them
Love your attitude about this bag and not caring about what people will say. kislux You are right keep your head up and no your priorities.
Are you shooting slog3 with your fx3?
Yes I am!
It would have been awesome if you could've done Eminem's daughter's wedding.. :D
Memory cards?
Don't you use ND filter?
We JUST bought them
I soldi comprano la felicità

hahahah gotta throw shade at my boy
I don’t even have a camera bag 💀
What happened with you and full time filmmaker?
I quit 2 years ago! I talk about it on our podcast!
How dare you knock Pelican! Jk. Sorry
If you need editor/cinematographer. i am available.
This blur at the background. So creamy 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
Hahaha thanks man
Hey Runaway Vows , very good video . I can do better editing in your videos which can help you to get more engagement in your videos . Pls lmk what do you think ?
Hey man, I looked at the engagement of your channel and compared it to ours. Maybe you want to buy our course on how to get more engagement?
Insane cheap shot at SF lol
