Allison Anderson when you take self portrait pictures, how do you use eye AF on your A7iii? I’m just learning my way around my new one and I’m such a beginner 😂🤦🏻♂️
Agree re Peak Design, cool products. I’ve also got a mini vacuum that has a built in battery and charges with USB. It comes in handy when sand and grit get into spots when out and about. Enjoy your videos, well presented. Keep shooting. Gt
You are so knowledgeable and your photos always look amazing!! Would you consider doing a beginner series on photography?? I'd love to get into it but I'm not sure where to even start learning about things like this. Thank you!
Allison I’ve really enjoyed how your channel/career has evolved over time. I remember the old makeup review days and now to the minimalist/photography. I’ve always have and still d enjoy the content you put out!
I recently found your channel and have binge watched almost all of them lately lol I love that your a fellow Washingtonian (I live on the east side of the state in Spokane Valley 🥰) I just wanted to let you know you've inspired me in so many ways, thank you for sharing your travels and also all the inspo in not giving up on our dreams, so glad I stumbled across your camping solo video the other day! 💗
I love videos like this, for gadgets and accessories in particular, not really "what's in my bag" videos because that's even more personal to one's needs. Nice to see I have all of what you recommend in this video, some different brands or models. I am the "utility" and "practicality" QUEEN. Maybe that'll be my next channel 👍😉
Hey Allison ! Great video ! But I think you made a mistake at 5:23, the "180 rule" is supposed to be for filmmaking, for conversations between subjects no ? Cheers !
Oh great. So many accessories that solve so many of my problems that I now have to purchase 😂. I'm a rocket launch photographer & get to set remote cameras on launch pads sometimes. The carrying multiple cameras for B-roll problem is a real thing! You cannot swap between an 18mm & 600mm lens quickly and carrying multiple cameras is a pain when you keep having to pull them in and out of the bag. Need that PD clip immediately! And that charging brick! Setting remote cameras means so many batteries & so many triggers that need to all be charged at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing all of these quality products that solve so many of my problems and are built to last.
Love my Peak design carbon tripod... Lightweight, with snap in peak design mount on a smooth ball-head design a one step adjustment. Small form factor, I place it in a 3” lightweight clear plastic tube as a (ahem) holster for quick removal from my pack, and the leg extension design is setup for the minimal steps for quick setup usage. Be prepared to spend alot of money 💵 💵 💵
I would love to see a video where you show what you pack for a trip! I find myself watching your videos and wondering where you got items of clothing or accessories from. Maybe even your favourite travel clothing and shoes!
This video was so informative! Thank you so much for sharing your favorites and must haves!! Honestly would have never thought that they sell some of these items
Holy moly, you are the gold standard of RUclipsrs. I can't say I'd want every accessory you recommend, but you are one of the most precise, concise, intelligent and appealing RUclips personalities I've seen and heard. 506K subscribers and counting? I'll say!!!
Peak Design is literally the best. I have their camera leash (the super-thin one) strap and I love it. I'll probably end up getting the plate at some point this year, largely because I'm a big avid backpacker.
Do I know anything about photography? No Do I know the about the simplest functions of the simplest camera? No Do I aspire to become a photographer? No Do I ever take photos? No(rarely) Am I still watching? Yes
I've been wanting to get into photography so have been watching videos for starters. Will probably eventually go out and buy a camera when I graduate next year. They're just so expensive for someone who's doesn't make a living out of recording or shooting things or people.
Hi Allison. I had just recently subscribed to your channel and I really love the colors of your videos. Do you have any tips for beginners on color grading the videos?
QUESTION: which mode do you put your camera in? Focus mode and this remote will support the auto focus? Wow! I only have the standard remote shutter…this would be a game changer.
Hey Allison! Great video as always ☺️. I was wondering if you could share what type of laptop or computer you’re using as your main for video / photo / website editing?
Thanks for the video, I second the PolarPro Defender lens caps they are fantastic. If you are wondering why pay $30 or more for a lens cap? They are so worth it!
Thanks for all the gear tips! I love your videos! I purchased the camera shutter linked here, and I'm having trouble getting it to work on my Sony a7iii and a7riii. I plug it into the camera and everything, but how do I get the shutter to actually take a photo when I click the button? I've looked online, but can't seem to find the right settings (have tried turning on and off remote control, etc.). Any guidance?
Hey Alison! Do you always shoot your B roll and face shots handheld? And then stabilize it in post? I love the gopro's stabilization but well..it's a gopro.. I just wonder how good of a stabilization it would be from the camera/post edit
For the Polar Pro Lens Defender...where and what do you do with your lens hood? I problem I've always had with this idea is that I would need to create more room for storage...
Does the peak design bag clip, with the camera plate, will it also fit straight into a peak design tripod or do you have to change the plate on the camera to do that?
Can I ask if you are happy with your switch to Sony? Was your reason to go to full frame? Just curious. I’m thinking of maybe switching too for various reasons.
As a beginner I had no idea what you said but I would love to know so can you do a beginners video about cameras shooting and editing I know that’s a lot but start somewhere please
I understand why shallow depth of field has value, but if your hands (or objects in your hands) are out of focus, that is a mistake in my opinion. Blurry backgrounds are nice, but keep all other important parts of the shot in focus. One stop up typically covers this, and is a better compromise (again, in my opinion).
I really like the Peak Design capture clip tool! Currently, I have my straps on my camera as usual but this clip tool is fantastic! Thanks for sharing this idea! It will be very handy for me to just put away my Sony camera temporarily while focusing on doing other important stuff! Love this idea! :D
I bought those rubber lens caps and when in any sort of warm weather they get sticky and its only the good luck of a UV filter that the lens was not ruined. Good idea badly implemented and dangerous to good glass. It does make me wonder about the veracity of the review.
Thanks for watching! What are your favorite camera accessories?
Allison, I love your background 😍 Is it a photo backdrop?
That Peak Design camera bag is legit. Also I like your choice of cameras. I've fallen in love with the RX100 VII.

Thank you! I've been thinking about doing something like that but wasn't sure if people would be interested, good to know you would be!
@@allisonanderson interested. I have a decent background but learning some more tricks from you would be so enjoyable.
Just get a camera and start shooting😀 even if it is just your phone just go do it 😀 you will suck at the start but soon your photos will be amazing 😀😀
Yes would love to learn photography and videography from you! Your stuff is incredible!
Add me to the interested.
Agree on Peak Design. Probably the best accessories for travel photos and video right now. Thanks for sharing. Nice vlog.
Can you do more of in depth photo editing? For beginners! Love the video

i am very new to the camera and photography world! I've been using youtube videos to learn more about my camera and it's been SO helpful!
Same!! It’s so nice to have a free learning tool online!
this is SO helpful and I didn't feel like a single suggestion was an ad - thank you!!!!
Time to ditch that mephoto tripod and check out the peak design one. Gamechanger!

Awesome video... A bit like a commercial sometimes but great items
Can you show us a video editing tutorial! 💓
Mikee Patricia Reyes that would be awesome 😀
I’d love the pd camera clip and Samsung t5 but I just can’t fork out that much for them
What are your thoughts on fuji? Why did you switch to the sony a7iii?
Hey Allison! Great video as always ☺️. I was wondering if you could share what type of laptop or computer you’re using as your main for video / photo / website editing?
Thanks for the video, I second the PolarPro Defender lens caps they are fantastic. If you are wondering why pay $30 or more for a lens cap? They are so worth it!
Do you take anything with you for lighting when you travel besides the tiny light - ring light, reflector, etc? Thanks!
Could you do a beginners guide to cameras and equipment? You inspired me to get a nicer camera but have no idea which one to get!

A micro towel!
Lots of cool stuff, some I have , some I never heard of but will now scorch the credit card to acquire!!!!
What do you use for a microphone when filming on a phone?
Liked the stuff you had in the video. Double check the link for the battery charger it's not available
May I know what;s the purpose to stick HD on your laptop?
How is the polarpro nd holding up. I am still using Gobe filters and they get scratched up pretty quickly :(
Thanks 👍🏻 some good ideas 👌 best cinematic greetings from a small 😉 german filmmaker
Hi Allison can you do an updated video?
do you always shoot handheld or use a gimbal for your sony a7iii? (for videography of course!)
Efficient tips 👌
Hey what kind of lighting set up did you use for this video?
Can you do a video with tips on taking quality travel video and photos with iPhones? I don't have the budget for anything fancy right now!
The link to the polarpro lens defender on your page doesn't lead to the item any more. (
I have the Aodelan WTR-2 and for the life of me cannot figure out how to use it for a 5 second timer
As a beginner I had no idea what you said but I would love to know so can you do a beginners video about cameras shooting and editing I know that’s a lot but start somewhere please

When you use the PolarPro Defender lens cap, do you leave your lens hoods home? thanks! love your videos, keep em coming.
Sometimes I'll leave them home, sometimes I just keep them in my bag separately in case I want to use one.
What SD cards do you use??
👑
Nice really

With my eyes closed you sound exactly like Estee Lalonde
Translation: You need to buy this crap so I don’t have to get a real job 😂😂😂
Your talk very beautiful
