Thanks for watching! What's the next piece of gear on your wishlist?
I'm looking to upgrade my channel with a camera. I'm using my iPhone now. Should I go with a gopro or a sony a7s?
Hi Allison, I have the same pelican case, but instead of buying the dividers I worked out the f-stop medium and small icus fit inside. So straight from pelican to backpack after the flight. No issues and no need to buy the dividers
The Peaks Design Tripod. But phew, it is expensive.
Just upgraded to the Sony A74 and cant wait to upload new videos with it. 🙌🏼✈️
It’s crazy I used to watch your makeup videos and seeing that you have changed your content and are posting breathtakingly beautiful landscape and wildlife shots now as well as talking about your camera equipment is so cool. I love your videos and appreciate your work and the effort you put into making this type of content
Thanks for always giving us an amazing review I love you vlogs ❤️❤️
I'd love to hear your story about how you got into videography/photography!
This is so cool! I just had a 3 week Europe trip with a Client and the Pelican Case/Backpack Combo has been super great! Hard to go back to a stuffed backpack after a rolling case!
Hi Allison, I have the same pelican case, but instead of buying the dividers I worked out the f-stop medium and small icus fit inside. So straight from pelican to backpack after the flight. No issues and no need to buy the dividers
Pretty useful!
Literally gaping at your Africa photos and vids!! Cannot wait for the video! Love your content - thank you for sharing!
You’re my new favourite person i love the setup 🎉😊 *subbed* much love from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 😊
Hi Allison! love all your video. I was wondering if you can do a video on how you take photos of your self during your solo travels
Little chickadee, I just watched your videos from 11 years ago!!! You gorgeous thing how sweet is your channel and your content is so awesome as well. Can’t believe how few views you have with such a sweet smile and such incredible content!! This is an incredible channel!! Keep up the great work and we watchers will try to do a better job subscribing and thumbsing up these great videos!❤️
I absolutely love your travel videos! I’m a novice hobbyist videographer and am blessed to have all the gear; do you have any videos on your editing process and techniques?
Ah that camera would be a dream! I have considered switching to Sony at some point but let's see ☺️ The pelican case seems like a great solution for you!
Love my Sony a74 also new 70-200mm lens is amazing
Wow! What timing...just purchased a new camera myself a few days ago!!! Decided to give Fujifilm a try as my dad works there and I could get a good discount lol...I also just posted my FIRST SOLO TRIP video to Seattle, inspired by you of course! haha :)
Wow. Quite an investment! Sony A1 is only my dream camera body. I envy you. Thank you for sharing.
I loved my canon 24-70 2.8 Lens. I need to try the Sony 24-70
Hey Allison, can you tell me, why you switched the the screw plate from the bottom of the 70-200 2.8 to the top? What's the advantage of this? Great video and thanks for your answer!
Yes, i love these videos! Your photography and videography is amazing.
I keep checking her description hoping that one day she’ll come out with a course because I absolutely LOVE her content and I want to learn how she does it 😭😭😭
Thanks for sharing, you do amazing work. I found your channel when I was uploading my last video and was testing the title in RUclips search so I guess we like the same things and after viewing your channel I agree with RUclips....cheers.
I lost my DJI Mavic Air 2 in Halong Bay in Vietnam. Was lucky to get a Mini 3 pro in Da Nang right when it came out. But sold it because was always iffy during high winds. Holding off now for a Mavic Air 3. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Hi Allison, thanks for the awesome info! I'm going to buy the Sony A7 IV with the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II lens. I'm just starting out but want to make sure I have a good distance lens that will catch wildlife, etc. Would you recommend I also get the Sony 100-400 FE or the 70-200?
Hi Allison, just getting into the travel photography hobby ( for personal and not for social media, lol) and been seeing your Antartica and Africa trips which I will soon do as well. Can you pleade give me advice on what camera to purchase for trips like these. And also a site where I can learn photog best, many thanks in advance!
Oh wow! When I saw you'd gotten a new camera I thought it would be the A7iv, and I was blown away (i.e. hyper jealous) when you pulled out the A1. I've been planning to move full-frame and the A7iv seemed the right pick, since I can't afford the A1 right now; but I've been concerned about the frame rate, which may not be enough for bird photography. This is all a digression to say that the pics from Africa look incredible! Waiting to see more.
That bag looks amazing!
It'd be great to have everything in one bag like that, I need to get organized!
Hi Allison - Love your videos! I leave for Africa in less than two weeks, did you bring both your 70-200 and 100-400? I’m thinking about bringing both but they overlap and they take up a lot of space in my bag. What did you find yourself using while shooting wildlife?
Can’t wait to see your Africa video!
Thanks for sharing your latest gear Allison! That's quite a new camera Case you’re rolling with!
For those shots of the elephants what was the size of your telephoto? I own a 200, would this be big enough or are we talking about a professional grade that is even farther? I rarely use my 200 because it is just so dang heavy and most times just travel with my 24-70 lens and leave the rest behind.
Like the pelican case but the only case I ever had stolen was a black pelican. The handle wraps are nice but my new cases are red and yellow. I have covered the pelican logos with tape and stickers. That way it doesn’t scream steal me and most people don’t want to stand out with a bright red or yellow case or bag.
I love your videos. How do you deal with using the drone around the world? I looked into the European license, which is very time consuming to get. Does anyone bother you flying it? Thanks
You had 2 lenses with you on safari, one telephoto and one for close up shots, which 2 lenses were they ?
I have a Sony A1 but my goto camera is the Sony A7R V which has much better animal autofocus.
Just here to say that I'm DESPERATE for more of your new house content. I'd love to see literally anything to do with your house. ❤🙌🏼 haha pretty please 🤣
Same!!
That's not creepy at all 😅😅
@@JaredDoyle76 nope not at all 😅 have you seen their home?! So stunning 😍 I love getting inspo for home renos
Always love to see you post new videos
Doing field service work I’ve used a pelican case for my tools. It’s the only tool case that has survived baggage handling and the TSA. Doing carryon you will probably be able to pass it down to your grand children 😉
Good morning happy Thursday morning and I loved your reset vlogs because you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
This was a great video. I just moved into Sony's full frame territory with the A7IV (from an a6300). Can you do a video on the 3 top lenses you'd want for a Sony full frame (prime, tele, wide angle etc.)?
I use the 200-600, sony 20mm f1.8 and currently selling my sigma 24-70 to get the Sony 24-70 gm ii going full sony gear :)
I can’t stop watching all of your video… its all perfect and very inspiring….👍👍
Thanks Allison❤️👍… wish to meet you here in Australia on your travel journey one day👍👍👍 keep safe🙏
Allison
I recently purchased a used 150-450 wildlife lens from Aldorama Camera the lens looked brand new with the original box , lens hood and instructions I saved $500.00 off the list price of a new lens
Yet another great video! That Pelican case is absolutely phenomenal and I too definitely don't mind saving my back the strain of hauling gear through airports. Thanks for the suggestion about the luggage handle wrap...that top handle for the Pelican is a little...rough ha!
I used to have this Pelican case. They are made in Torrance, CA and I bought them directly with the factory and received a huge discount. However, I sold all 4 cases. I thought they were way too heavy and the handle is super short. The quality is excellent but way too heavy. I'm using a camera bagpack that has a luggage pass through and put that on top of my Rimowa aluminum carry on suitcase.
Was just thinking how I missed your videos!
Exactly my setup as well!
I like how organized you are, I love seeing the bag choices also that drone footage is just stunning! I have no use at all for a Drone but I always want one lol and the penguins in africa!! Cute! Penguins are my favorite animals :)
Hiii, loved the stuff and the video! Did you use the zv1 in any of the videos that you already uploaded? I want that camera and the review will be great!
I don’t know how I feel about my Peter McKinnon bag pack being more expensive than a carry-on pelican case… I have to rethink all my life choices 😂
OH I can't wait to see your video's/vlog from Africa. I love love love penguins. They are my favorite. I just purchased the Canon R7 with the RF100-400 and am hoping to the get the 24-70. Love your drone footage
Allison could you please upload a video on your RUclips Export settings?.. Your footage always looks so crisp and clear and a lot of times RUclips compresses the quality once you upload! My family and I look forward to all your videos!! So glad you shared!
Very cool! I got the Tamaron 28-200, mostly for the price, but am shocked at how good it is.
Hello there👋! New subscriber🤝!
What size checked luggage are you bringing for clothes jackets etc?
But... how you do it? If you fly internationally (and I guess continental it's the same) the carry on luggage is limited to 8 kg per piece - no matter which class you fly. The Pelican case is already 5.6 kg - this leaves only 2.4 kg left for gear.
I was just thinking about that as well.
Good choices. I use Pelican cases at home for my gear. If I'm driving I'll throw them in the suv or truck and when I get to my location I'll take out what I need and put it in a bag to work out of. I don't take the Pelican cases when I fly. I probably would, though, if I was a pro and the assignment was important. But, for my photo trips, I put my gear in a bag or bags which go in a four wheel hard sided carry on case. If it has to be gate checked I don't worry about it and four wheels are so much easier to roll than two. Btw, I'm sure I've seen an extension for handles like on the Pelican case. As I recall they are sort of like your colored wrap (I use an orange strap that snaps around the handle.) but extend about 6-8 inches.
Africa???? I cannot wait to see your videos from the trip! Heading over to IG now. I wish I could buy equipment like this but I need to learn to use what I have first, lol!
Is it at all a hassle to fly your drone (because of regulations) considering it's over 249 grams? Or is it much easier to just stick with the Mini version? That is IF the image is what I would consider as good enough
Since she's using the drone for a non-recreational purpose, the 249 gram limit doesn't really factor in since a Part 107 would still be required to fly, due to the intent of flight, regardless of weight. The thing having a drone less than 249 grams is possibly useful for is not registering it as a recreation-only flyer, which is also likely to change soon with FAA changes that are on the horizon.
A video about Best vlogging set up for starters ? Low budget
Just fyi they are not allowed to check your bag because of the batteries. No batteries allowed in the cargo. Also worst case it actually fits under the seat in front of you even if it doesnt seem like it
Hii
🌸🦋🌸🦋🌸🦋
Did you consider the DJI Mini 3 Pro?
Nikon Z8 baby!
Do you need a drone license for content ?
So i took my 24-105 F4 on my trip to Iceland, and found myself shooting ultra wide on my iPhone 13 Pro Max more than anything. For my next trip, I am going to trade in the zoom for wide and pickup a 16-35 instead!
This bag is too small for my FX6 and gear 🙈 but for my ZV1 perfect 👍🏻 best cinematic greetings from a still small german RUclips filmmaker 😂
Did I miss a tripod?
Same. If I had that extra 4mm... I'd be happy... lol
Get rid of that a7S III and get the a7R V. You will like it as much as your a1, if not more. It's an ideal camera for you! ! :)
Why don't you put an airtag or a tracker in the bag so that you don't have to worry about switching the bag with anyone.
Pink city jaipur Rajasthan biutiful pales in india
Why not a Nanuk? The look better, have better features, are just as tough, and did I say they also look great?
Although the Pelican case are great the advertise high value and scream steal me! I much prefer the Think Tank rolling cases as they are very durable and carry on friendly and look more like normal luggage. Secondly, I NEVER check camera gear. I usual explain the I am photographer travel with camera gear and the will work with me.
No more Shimoda backpack ? Did you like it
if only i had that kind of money lol
🔴 Great Video!! Isn’t Africa Great! How Was Namibia, That’s On My List When I Ho Back To The Continent of Africa.
Have you done Morocco 🇲🇦 or Tanzania 🇹🇿 yet? I would like GM 24-70 II. We have the same camera set up A1 & A7SIII.
Guys what is your most favorite vlog on this Chanel mine is Solo travel to Alaska because whenever I feel depressed I watched this video and I feel relaxe
New in my bag is the new Fuji X-H2s
One recommendation: Black out “Pelican Air” on the suitcase. It screams, “Expensive Photography Gear”
I’m 51 and still trying to find the courage to travel by myself😂
Making me sad rn bc I want the 7iv but If I don’t wanna b broke in college I’m having to buy the 7iii
