Burnie was absolutely correct with his argument during the door moment, too. Gus and Gavin were so hung up that he goes to Austin airport so much more often than any one /single/ other airport that they didn't realize that he goes to other airports in general just as much as he goes to Austin if not more.

Burnies construction argument is that he notices construction in austion every trip. Gavin and gus are arguing that bernie has a sampling bias because he goes through austin the most. Neither party understood eachother.
I completely understand Burnies airport argument. I have no idea what Gavin and Gus are talking about. There should be construction at every airport he goes to, but he only sees construction in the Austin airport.
Well, I see what they are both saying. Burnie is saying that even though he visits a LOT of other airports, he never sees construction ANYWHERE else. But Gavin is saying that he always goes through the Austin airport, so he’s going to see those things. Both had valid points, neither getting to the other.
@@am3thysts This was how a lot of Gavin and Burnie arguments went, with both sides having a point. They weren't so much taking two opposing sides, but rather having two separate and somewhat equally valid stances with some overlap, with neither side seeing that it wasn't quite a "one is totally right and the other totally wrong" situation.
@@am3thysts I think Gav was being very specific for comedic sake, but if you're in an unfamiliar area once every few weeks or months, you probably wouldn't notice a door in a hallway always having a sign on it saying under construction. If you worked in that building and every week you saw it, eventually you'd start to wonder why nobody has fixed the door because it's obviously a problem.

Since Burnie-era RT Podcast, I haven't really loved any other podcast. The dynamic was too perfect. But he earned his peaceful life offline
