Except that the USPS is one of the most successful government agencies. It is actually so profitable that the GOP has been trying to privatize it for years to funnel that money to their donor's pockets instead of the government. The current crisis is because the USPS is required to fully fund it's employee pensions 75 years in advance, which no other agency is required to do.

Gus definitely had a crazy fan messing with his mail, lol. I'm glad it ended up ok. I've lived in some of the most remote locations in the U.S. as a field EMT & firefighter, without any trouble with the post office, but sometimes things just don't work.

GenPop Joe the USPS has been in serious trouble for awhile because the shipping corporations FedEx and UPS have been lobbying in congress and they keep getting their budget cut. The USPS isn’t really a for profit company since it was created by The Constitution and therefor government funded. It can’t afford to defend itself while FedEd and UPS pay our Reps off. It may be slower, but it’s cheaper and legally has to be able to deliver mail to every single American. About the same thing is happening to public libraries.
