Its funded by ubisoft, they see it as advertisement to an almost 9 millions subscribers base who are most likely interested in video games so I can see why they would be willing to pay for that
imo they should put that money into making their games better
I mean, that easy to say and I wish it would work like that but in reality its not how the industry works. Many, many people buy games based off of cool trailers and at the end of the day getting a 9 instead of a 7 on metacritic doesn't necessarily mean the game meets it's sales goal.
Shout out to Chris for being such a good sport. This would have been waaaaaay over the line for me

The game's great actually. It's avoided making the mistakes most people where concerned about and delivered on their promises. Personally, to me it plays similar to MGS5, without the depth of story, but with a bigger more interesting world and less weird Japanese stuff to kill the atmosphere.
The stealth works well, you can complete objectives pretty much however you want, it has a decent tactical aspect to it (best with friends on hardest difficulty) and even has some decent interior breaching and fighting. Your teams ai isn't great until you upgrade them, even then, I'd advise friends as they improve the tactical aspect massively. The other AI is pretty good though, they use cover, flank, retreat, regroup, cover fire ect, not the best I've seen, but far from the worst. Also it's nice to see a more casual game (no insult meant there) take a slightly mill sim approach too, in terms of there not being "bullet sponge" type enemies to fight. A well aimed shot from a high powered weapon can take down pretty much anyone in one. And in the hardest difficulty, you drop as easy as them.
I would like a full first person mode though, and driving/flying could do with a little work. There's also potential for some great mission types and dlc, not all necessarily military, heck, hunting would be fun, or a red dead style zombie DLC. It'd be a great game for modding too if they released mod tools. Wishful thinking I guess lol
Eddy S Nah, I tried it, severely disagree. Way too repetitive, horrible AI. The game has no real... Charm, really. It really is Division 2.0. Most games have something setting them apart, despite the games flaws. Destiny had its sci-fi setting and powerful raid bosses. Siege has the sheer strategy and intensity, where games actually never do play the same way twice.
Wild lands have none of that. Like I said, this vid was a great prank, but the game is nothing like this. There is no tactical breaching. There is no high intensity clearing out of buildings. Just approach a fire base, take enemies out one at a time. Repeat. No compelling story. No diversity.
***** Sorry, but you lost me when you mentioned division, its as bad as people comparing everything to COD. Evidently you just jumped on the bandwagon, and don't know what you're talking about, as it plays nothing like the division any more than the last ghost recon did, and half of your issues with it seem to be your own lack of imaginative tactics or lack of play time. It's fair enough finding a tactic you enjoy and sticking to it, but you don't even enjoy the one you use, do you need the game to hold your hand and force you to use different tactics? Part of the fun is being able to tackle things your way, use your imagination, with no penalty for doing it the "wrong way", except maybe making it harder for yourself. Most open world games can be made boring if you just run and gun between objectives, so if that's your issue, I'd advise you stick to story driven corridor games where they'll force you to use different tactics.
It may not be to your taste, that's fair enough, and the odd bit of constructive criticism is fine, as nothing's perfect, but your need to outright trash the game and your inability to take an objective approach is your own loss, and there's no point having a discussion if you just don't want to like it, as you've made evident. Have fun with the edgy hater comments and all, but the mature thing would be to find something you like rather than trash talking something you don't.
