this is the 100% proper method to correct errors. Dont reproduce the error, that just drills it in; instead, show correct usages and contrast them. Then even 可怜的豆豆能说: 老师,我明白了!
而且豆豆在哪里?
为什么你用英文?
That's a very useful lesson for my kids. There are a lot of subtleties to a language that is sometimes not explicitly taught in school. Hope you can make more episodes to point out more such examples.
I speak Cantonese and we normally call people 脂 for fat lmao. I didn't know it was considered rude in Mandarin and thats something I should keep in mind. Thanks!
You‘re welcome.
Thank you for being with us...... We have to learned that.... We are thanked for 'every day Chinese'

谢谢老师。Thank you teacher~~~ 😀
"My old friends are all retired"
"我的老朋友都退休了"
It's interesting that in both English and Chinese, it's not really clear whether the friends are old because of advanced age or because of a long-standing relationship. Probably long-standing relationship would be assumed in both languages.
To specify advanced age, in English we could say "older friends".
In Chinese, perhaps we could say 年长的朋友 or 年龄大的朋友.
年长的朋友 is better.
something popped into my head. When using 老 to talk about things, it's kind of like "ol' " in english. Like "going down to the ol' watering hole"
I liked it! Can you make a video about the differences between 特别还是特殊?
Good suggestion!
谢谢老师
不客气。别忘了做做视频最后的练习。
Thank you so much for this very useful and great lesson. Would you please can you upload Chinese grammar videos similar like this ? Thanks.
Yes, we will
Yao is just very tall.
那这样的话,"减肥" 的意思还是 "diet" 或者有其他的?
减肥 literally means to lose weight, so can also mean be on a diet.
For example,
我在减肥 = I'm trying to lose weight / I am on a diet.

@𝐀𝐳𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐥 𝐁𝐫𝐨 just say 你们。
啊, 天竺鼠非常肥!
