I’m so happy I did so well! 😭😍 I started studying halfway through the year and I’m so glad that I could understand beginner hsk 1 level before the year ended. I could’ve gone done it quicker however I’m just self studying with no budget and tight schedules so I’m still so glad! Good luck to all of you others who’s also studying Chinese!
I'm studying myself too. I didn't really know where to start when I first became interested three weeks ago. I started studying hard since yesterday. I figurd I'd start with basic words that two year olds should know. Basic commands, greetings, names and objects type stuff. Then listen to occasional common phrase videos. When I learn about 75-200 words I figured I would practice writing. Idk how long it'll take but hey. I'll put the work in
@@stpatrick7643 I have to agree with you. Studying words in the dictionary, hearing them pronounced, studying the characters and hearing it repeated over 15xs in one movie scene helped me to grasp the language better than just listening to Mandarin and hearing the English translation. Since you're in China, they won't speak as a translator, they'll speak as a native. If you don't familiarize yourself with language, it'll be harder to pick up on
Exactly what I need. I can speak some Chinese by learning words and phrases that I write on flash cards and study... but when someone speaks Chinese to me I'm totally lost. It's so difficult for my ears because there are no multi-syllable words like in English.
I also have delayed translation when listening, but I also think I'm not to confident when I can understand that I'm understanding correctly, the more I practice the more confident I'm becoming
@@billyjavy942 Difficult to English speakers because every word is one syllable, it's easy for us to mishear what native speakers are saying because it can sound like they are saying something else.
