Lovely fly davie👍. I always learn something new watching you tie .
The Bob Ross of Fly tying! I sometimes just put your videos on in the background and listen while I do my day job. Ive learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much.
I haven't tied a fly in 15 yrs., but this is my favorite you tube channel.
My friend you have magic hands! Hard to express all the ways your vids help me. I would like to see instructional vid shot at more distance showing more of how you switch hands crossing over, handling thread ect. I find if I mimic how you hold and move your hands my tying results are far better! You are by far the very best!

Awesome Davie , Good going .Some nice flies you are churning .
Beautiful fly. I have had some trouble getting the wing tied the way you do, putting the thread into the hair several times. I just watched you do it again and I think I had the thread at the wrong place when I started to try it. I bought the book you suggested on spey flies but it will take quite some tome to get here from the UK. All the best and thanks for sharing your immense talent. Sean
Love this pattern, so beautiful.
A thing of beauty davie nicely tied as always, I finally got the loon scissors found them a tiny bit thicker at the tip than the tiemco but I honed them down on an oil stone very carefully and I just love them , cheers davie and all the best.
Another masterpiece Davie thx for sharing
You're the best David thank you!
Thanks for another fantastic fly Davie. Where is the signature music to your videos from? Heard it so many times watching your videos over the years and the question just occurred to me...
Splendid fly
Another beauty by the master thanks
Great fly!!!!
I English do not know, but as You show -everything is clear without translation - thank You.
Great tying
Great looking fly mate. Did you use the low water hook and can you go a bit bigger or what. Always enjoy watching you tie my friend. Hope to see a few salmon flies. Thanks for sharing. Have a great evening. Best Regards, Ken
Hi Ken,
I've tyed these on size 4s down to a size 12s though 10s and 8s are the most popular with the friends that I tied them for...The hook I used in the video was the Fulling Mill Magni Double which is a standard shank hook..I'm glad you liked it and I'm sure you will not go wrong having a few in your box...
All the very best Davie..
Thanks for sharing another great looking fly. Any chance you'll be trying out some more North American salmon flies again?
Hi Piscator Flies,
Send me a link to the patterns you would like to see tied and if I have the materials I will certainly tye one..I'm glad you liked the fly...
All the very best Davie
How about something from New England like the Kennebago Streamer - streamers365.com/2012/03/67-kennebago-streamer/
Would fish that all day long 🎣🐳👍
New to this what are you using the wax on you're finger for?
Hi Lewis,
The wax helps to strengthen your thread and gives it more grip especially when tying hackles and wings on.The reason for having a small piece on the side of my finger as is that it's ready to be used when I need it...I have attached a link to a video I made on how to prepare the wax ready for use..
