TARDIS landing in Blender again

- After viewing the previous experiment, I thought I should try to get the TARDIS to land in a more interesting environment. Probably not the best place to park a TARDIS, just don't drop any keys while exploring. Though don't be exploring for too long.
I updated the time vortex as I wasn't that happy with the old version. I also tried out a new look for the flying text. I'm debating on which version of the text is better.
I also added an area light inside the TARDIS so when the doors open, the light from the interior spreads across the ground in front of the TARDIS.

i feel like this is the opening of a game
Hmm, that would be interesting. Who knows what you'll find in a volcano. An buried alien device or even a alien ship.
What I love about the retro tardis is that it was tiny, much easier for it to fit anywhere it wanted to
Nowadays the exterior keeps getting bigger as if the bigger on the inside is leaking on the outside
Heck even the dialogues changed from "little blue box" to "big blue box"
The TARDIS exterior sure did grow as the years went on. It does often surprise me when in the show, we see the TARDIS parked inside someone's house. For an example, in Amy Pond's bedroom at the end of Flesh and Stone. That TARDIS prop at the time was at least over 3 meters/ 10 feet tall so Amy's bedroom ceiling must've been very tall for the TARDIS to fit. Though when I did look at the behind the scenes, it was revealed the bedroom was a separate set with no ceiling at all. They probably also removed the roof of the police box prop if it was needed and just kept it out of camera view. That or they were just very good at finding interior filming locations that can accommodate for the sizable prop.
Oops, I went on for a while there. Sorry about that.
@@LMC97 that's why i love a tiny TARDIS, it fits anywhere and you don't need to construct and deconstruct it all the time
The first doctor's tardis was perfect in so many ways both the exterior and interior were perfect
Especially the interior that was a masterpiece of imagination
well yeah the tardis has a faulty chameleon circuit, and its likely forgetting how the original police box looks.
and tthe series reflects on how the tardis looks different from a normal police box.
i thought they said something about the scale of itself and the windows.
@@renamamiya158 I always did wonder why the TARDIS altered the police box design over time. I knew that the Chameleon Circuit "got stuck" when the TARDIS landed in the 1960s though it is clear she didn't keep the same exact shape. Of course, the real reason for the different police box shapes is due to the real life props beginning to fall apart or the different designers just wanted to try out new designs. As for story wise, it could be she had forgotten how the original police boxes appeared or she purposely changes it from time to time just try slightly newer looks.
You are right about the show being aware of the differences. The show itself has poked fun over the props inaccuracies. Mainly it's windows. In the episode Blink, when the police found the abandoned TARDIS, Detective Inspector Billy Shipton knew it wasn't a "real one" pointing out the phone is a "dummy" and the "windows are the wrong size". In the episode The Doctor's Wife, they pointed out that police box doors are meant to open outwards...though they completely misunderstood what the "Pull to Open" instruction on the small phone door was intending for. In Twice Upon a Time, the First Doctor pointed out that the later model was bigger and once again, the subject of the size of the windows was brought up when they go into the First Doctor's TARDIS.
The First Doctor's TARDIS is probably the closest design the TV show got to the original police boxes but even then had many inaccuracies. An even closer design, though still not exact, was used for the prop that was used in the Peter Cushing movies. Even featuring doors that opened outwards. Though it was still made of wood and not concrete and appeared to have a double door design rather than a single.
Whoops. I did it again. I don't know why I turn comments into essays while pretending to know what I'm talking about. What am I like? XD.
the tardis is aging. when a tardis ages the interior size leaks to the outside, as shown in the name of the doctor (S7.E14)
That is quite a lovely TARDIS model.
Thank you. It's my custom box that I attempted to keep to the original police boxes with a few differences.
Damn the doctor needs to stop landing the tardis in blenders. People have to pay to replace these blenders.
I think my neighborhood heard me when I laughed at that XD. I'll need to find a blender big enough to fit a TARDIS into so we can find out whether it blends or not ha ha.
@@LMC97 one thing you could do is to export the Tardis’s outside rig in unreal and put a trigger to teleport the player character component to the inside of the tardis (in a different part of the same level) then switch cameras in sequencer and make a plane inside the tardis then give it a tardis interoir material made from a render 180 degrees render. add refraction to this material and it should follow from the point of view. if you were to make it into a game, this could very well be how a studio or indie would do it (but the trigger would be to an other level containing the inside)
Wow, awesome😳🤯💯.
Thank you!
I love it.
Thank you so much!
Hi…I‘m LSM58….nice to meet you! You are doing great work with the Tardis…I‘m proud of you 😉👍👍
Howdy LSM58. Thank you very much. You are very kind.
Cool and awesome animation
Thank you.
Awesome 🤩
Thank you very much.
Very nice
Thank you very much.
Sound mixing could be a little better, it sounds like I'm listening to the tardis sounds rather than them being in the environment
I admit. Sound mixing was never my strong suit. Though I also didn't want the video to be silent. I'll keep this in mind.
Awesome animation. Though not the hum and the exterior don't match.
Thank you. The exterior was a custom box which featured elements from past boxes so the interior was a quick attempt to make a custom hum using past hum sound effects.
@@LMC97 Ahh gotcha. It does still fit with the vibe of the scene though. Well done
Hi doctor. Can I use your TARDIS for storage? At least until I find another apartment. Your TARDIS is perfect to store all my crap, especially my tons of shoes.
I guess that is one use for a TARDIS.
Might take you a big but what if you make a fully 3d inside to Matt smiths tardis (and if you could export it to something like ROBLOX for us to play) but also just to post it
That might be a bit advanced for me. If it hasn't been done I already, I have a feeling someone else will make that. I know in the game Garry's Mod, there are several TARDIS addons that have TARDISes bigger on the inside including both Matt Smith interiors. As for Roblox, I wouldn't know.
