@@elicantrell752 you say you “arent defending the cops” but then go on to explain that you think its “more acceptable” that police, our appointed detainers(not executioners), killed him? That was murder by pure, ignorant, negligence. That is not excusable.
I like this quote too, but he needs to step back and admit he’s only one man. He has a lot of influence and he’s very much obtaining his goal PARTIALLY... but bringing the world to peace like he wants is something no one can do; and that’s because of free will. People have free will to act as kindly or as badly as they want... which is why we can never live in a world of peace. Mark’s intentions are good, but his way of thinking is fantastical and a little narcissistic.
Why is this just being suggested to me now? Props to youtube for suppressing what is really important like always. The devil works hard but soulless corporations always work harder.

@@dualrotorhelicopter "A riot is the language of the unheard." - Also MLK. A frequent rhetorical turn for King, appearing years earlier than that. In 1966, for example, in a Sept. 27 interview, King was questioned by CBS’ Mike Wallace about the “increasingly vocal minority” who disagreed with his devotion to non-violence as a tactic. In that interview, King admitted there was such a minority, though he said that surveys had shown most black Americans were on his side. “And I contend that the cry of ‘black power’ is, at bottom, a reaction to the reluctance of white power to make the kind of changes necessary to make justice a reality for the Negro,” King said. “I think that we’ve got to see that a riot is the language of the unheard. And, what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the economic plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years.” America is failing its own citizens.
The fact that all the top comments are people just now finding this- in 2022, when this was posted in 2020 is a injustice in itself. Mark is a huge influencer and his words could completely flip a person's opinion. However two years later, this video is still very much relevant. I suppose better late than never but big shame on the RUclips algorithm.
"There is no justice in his death" You're absolutely right about that, Mark Yes, the officers involved were fired as a result of this, but I honestly don't think that this is enough They need to be put on trial for George George Floyd's death
Heck, at this point, there's no debating it; the guy died while being filmed by a bystander. I think the officer clearly needs to be put on trial and that kind of evidence tells me he'll right out be charged for murder while his partner needs to be charged with accessory to murder; they didn't do a single thing to stop what was going on either.
He has been charged with 3rd degree murder. But I wonder what'll happed to other 3 officers. Will there be no charge for them? They are equally responsible for what happened
Markiplier is always so intense when it really matters. It's easy to forget that behind his overblown reactions to horror and his himbo personality, there's a deep, honest human being who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes.
I honestly assumed that this was another one of those comedy videos with a clickbait-y title, but no. This is a responsible human being doing the bare minimum of acting against injustice and racism. This is a creator going further beyond by supporting and promoting charities for this cause and encouraging others to do the same. I wish everyone saw the world the way Mark does, and the way I hope his community does. One country, one world, one people. We're in this together, whether we like it or not.
_"Riots are the language of the unheard, and if there are problems that continually pop up, and lead to situations where justice is not served, then we need to change the systems that allow that injustice to happen in the first place and that is a long process that needs continual pressure and constant support and vigilance."_ - Mark's words. In one breath he condones riots, expresses the need for change, and states that continual pressure needs to be exerted on the government in order for said change to take place. Not only does he take MLK's words out of context (look up the original text), but he blatantly supports violence and use of force to make change happen. I like Mark. ... This crosses a line. Videos like these can and likely will cost people their lives due to the cycle of violence on the streets right now being encouraged.
I never realized it but Mark is a arrogant, ignorant, antipatriotic bastard who encourages murder and theft and I am not overdramatic based on his "speech" I believe I described him accurately
Way to twist everything around! Congrats! No seriously, what he truly was meaning to say was that we need to “fight” corruption and injustice peacefully. Fight, when used improperly, is a *very* loaded word that can take on multiple different meanings. Mark’s utilization of the word “fight“ did not mean to condone, or support the violent protests. In this context, he meant that we need to uphold, as people in a community, our values of not supporting violence, radical racism or other extremist acts. There’s more than one way to “fight” a problem, and you can “fight” violence with peace, civility and communal dignity. Think before you generalize next time.
The Specialist then why is he condoning these riots ? Whatever injustice was done is already overshadowed by all the crime and violence committed in the name of George Floyd . Do you know how many innocent white people got beaten unjustly at these “protests?” Where is justice for them?
Couldn’t say it better myself. Mark is a real person. Not a charade. I love his comedy and videos about fun thing but it is these real and heartfelt moments from him that I always find keep me watching. Thank you Mark, for talking about something so important and using your platform for the betterment of those you see being harmed by our society. I kid you not when i saw the footage from the bystander it made my blood boil. Because kneeling on another persons neck with an exempt amount or force, being one of the most fragile places on the human body, isn't detaining someone. Its making and attempt on there life. And that cannot be called misjudgement. If anyone has ever gone to a police training academy you'd understand that is not how you apply pressure to detain someone on the ground. Once their hand are behind there back and they're facing the ground. Or in whatever lock you have chosen to use. They cannot resist with there head (mouth facing the floor) so there is no need to force it down via neck. You apply "justified" pressure on the back between the shoulder blades.
Even that, he didnt die from asphyxiation, he had previous heart problems and laying on someone prone like that stops the diaphragm from expanding thus preventing his breathing

The fact that he didn't start with "Hello, everybody. My name is Markiplier and-" shows how serious he is. This is not a topic to laugh at or joke about. African Americans have gone through too much discrimination and Mark shows that he knows this isn't a laughing matter. God bless you, Mark. Hopefully the charity works!
In his desc he states that he had not monetized this video for the respect of this god awful situation, however RUclips had decided to monetize it anyway. I literally got an ad in the beginning of this video. RUclips, you need to do better and confront this situation professionally and as soon as possible. We (I hope) are disappointed in this platform, as it only cares about money. Thank you, Mark for trying your absolute best keeping this video demonetized. I am deeply sorry RUclips had gotten in the way of your greatest acts of respect.
This why I don't feel a lick of bad for disabling ads. Demonetized videos only means RUclips takes the whole 100% cut of your ad revenue from the video, and doesn't necessarily mean no ads. RUclips makes it pretty obvious that they would rather cater towards the advertisers than the viewers, no matter how fakely they show appreciation for you.
I know that ads are like still in the beginning of videos but for me personally it doesn't sit right with there being a advertisement for something that is probably on a more wealthier side on a video that should be acknowledged and showing it's a serious topic that needs to be said and such
They're sick people. You're being too nice. They're making money off of a serious matter, that means disrespect. They're belittling the situation and message down to a source of income.
"The circumstances of his arrest are irrelevant" That's just not true, he definitely shouldn't have been killed, but the circumstances of an arrest are definitely relevant in the scenario that happened

Saw a very good breakdown of that train of thought a while back, it can be a little dangerous. Especially if you inject the “if you don’t treat me with respect I won’t respect you” in addition to what you wrote. It went along the lines of “For some people, being treated with respect means being treated like an authority. For others, it means being treated like a human. By extension that could easily translate to: If you don’t treat me like an authority, I won’t treat you like a human.” Just food for thought.
I once saw a video about racism In the video a man put salt and pepper on a plate and mixed it he gave it to a woman and asked if she could remove all the pepper on the plat she said “no” and then the man said “so why should we do that with race” he said. It's not a Markiplier quote, I'm glad you are dumb enough to think so
I agree💖
It's not a Mark quote, it's a human quote. But for him to live by it says a lot.

MLK wouldn’t support riots and looting
It has failed to hear that the economic plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years.”
America is failing its own citizens.

"There is no justice in his death"
You're absolutely right about that, Mark
Yes, the officers involved were fired as a result of this, but I honestly don't think that this is enough
They need to be put on trial for George George Floyd's death
Heck, at this point, there's no debating it; the guy died while being filmed by a bystander. I think the officer clearly needs to be put on trial and that kind of evidence tells me he'll right out be charged for murder while his partner needs to be charged with accessory to murder; they didn't do a single thing to stop what was going on either.
The officer who used the knee has since been charged with 3rd degree murder just today I think I'm not sure but I saw a TMZ article on it
He did, he got arrested for his murder. They charged him with 3rd degree
He has been charged with 3rd degree murder. But I wonder what'll happed to other 3 officers. Will there be no charge for them? They are equally responsible for what happened
He was just charged with third degree murder and manslaughter 👍

I honestly assumed that this was another one of those comedy videos with a clickbait-y title, but no. This is a responsible human being doing the bare minimum of acting against injustice and racism. This is a creator going further beyond by supporting and promoting charities for this cause and encouraging others to do the same. I wish everyone saw the world the way Mark does, and the way I hope his community does. One country, one world, one people. We're in this together, whether we like it or not.
As a Minnesotan, thank you so much for talking about this, Mark.
"We are all in this together, whether we like it or not, we are all part of the same country, we are all part of the same *world* "

And that cannot be called misjudgement. If anyone has ever gone to a police training academy you'd understand that is not how you apply pressure to detain someone on the ground. Once their hand are behind there back and they're facing the ground. Or in whatever lock you have chosen to use. this man just gets better the more i find about his personality
right?? this man has become a role model for me
its the fact that the algorithm is just showing the majority of us this video now, two years later.
aye so its not just me
I don’t live in America, I’m Canadian. But I feel SOOOO bad for anyone involved in this issue.
I’m Canadian too and said that some Americans should just leave the black people alone, mainly the cops
i live in america and to be honest it really just sucks here a lot right now at these times
i guess you hate democracy
We have our own problems in Canada that do include police brutality and racism against black people. It's not as apparent as our US neighbours but our history of violence and racism is just as apparent especially regarding indigenous peoples.
Just becuase you don't live in america,Does not mean it doesn't effect your country, american politics is part of canada, Including the riots in toronto and yes i do live in canada.
You know mark is serious when he doesn’t look away from the camera. I think he said he has adhd and if you have adhd you know how hard it is to maintain eye contact. A camera might be different but I don’t know. Edit: I should thank people for the likes because that’s what people do right
Your not wrong i to have adhd and my gud it is very hard to stay at one thing at a time, it's hard for me because i get distracted very easily by shiny things or things that look pretty fun to do or watch, you could be talking to me and I'd jus lose interest and I'd move on to something else if it's fun to do or jus if it's shiny
What makes me mad is whoever is disliking this video. Not sure if they dislike it in general or disliking because they dislike the idea of what’s happening with racism.
Same here about having adhd, but your thing about Ethan. Ethan is his partner in unusannus
Oogish Balogna they are what the civilized world would call those who don’t care or are like that cop

There is a tone that Markiplier carries on very rare occassions. I could feel it strongly in this video.
Blind, petulant ignorance

Then it definitely feels like the series finale...
Its completely ok when people punish a cop who did not do his job correctly. But when leftists resort to the racism argument, that's when I get pissed off. People are taking out their rage on ALL officers and calling them racists. Most of time, you people don't actually research into the whole background of the situation. Various clips of black men being restrained by a cop are posted on twitter and basically every social media platform, and are out of context, and it causes people to go berserk because those clips have the whole "innocent black man is arrested by racist *WHITE* cop" mentality. And don't even get me started on the "protests" Those aren't protesters, those are criminals and anarchists who see this whole controversy as an opportunity to justify their actions of burning down establishments and buildings possibly full of innocent people. It almost seems like everyone in this goddamn country is a dumb ass. The police officer who murdered George, already lost his wife and kids, lost his job, and he's ready for trial, (probably gonna get the life sento,) yet people are still fuckin running around like a bunch of goddamn apes throwing molotovs and shit.
Chill out. And if you condone those opportunists then you are no better than them. Just wait and see how your opinion changes when these people will consider burning your apartment or house down, while they steal all your valuables and get away with it because its "For George Floyd" Would George have wanted all this anarchy to be unleashed onto his neighborhood when he was alive? Would he have liked to see his workplace or local store be burned down? People cant think straight these days. We all have to get a grip on lives.

Does anyone else think...

I once saw a video about racism
In the video a man put salt and pepper on a plate and mixed it he gave it to a woman and asked if she could remove all the pepper on the plat she said “no” and then the man said “so why should we do that with race” he said. This was very inspirational for me considering for when I watched it I was 7. race should not be why or how we treat people like we do
Not sure why this is coming back up in my feed now. But it's very powerful
"This video is not monetized" very respectful. People can learn a lot from you man, I really admire your response to things like this.

if only he had waited for the autopsy
he didn't die because of suffocation or asphyxiation
like everyone is saying he had preexisting condition
and a history of cocane
it was not a racist attack if you watch the fotage from the police car he was resisting arrest
i disagree with what the cop did and should still go to prison for man slorter
That's how it should be. Be fun and childish all you want, having that control over when and when not is the perfect balance
That doesn't change the fact that the policeman hailed his knee to his neck tho. The policeman didn't have to handle him that way.
@@vanimapermai He wasn't resisting arrest in the 7 minutes a cop had his fucking knee on the poor man's neck. If you REALLY believe that George died from a "pre existing condition" you have not seen the video. He had a bloody nose and was begging to breathe. That was not a natural death, that was murder. You are spreading misinformation by believing a clearly wrong autopsy report.
The body starts shutting down after 5 minutes without airflow. He was pronounced dead before he was even in the ambulance. He could not breathe because he was asphyxiated. Watch the video to see it yourself; it's horrible. And it's all over the news.
