He'll be fine, platypi only extend their poisonous spines when they feel threatened and only the male ones actually have the spines and that platypus would have to be severely insane to feel threatened by belly rubs.

Okay I'm 4 months late, but let me explain what exactly happened.
In the video, the man puts on the octopus on his head for the first few seconds of the video, which then cuts to him puking blood into a skull. This is why mark had a change of tone after commenting about the octopus. Naturally you'd judge the first thing you see, and I can assure you that I had the same reaction the first time I see it too.
