100% practical and a suitable workbench for 95% of weekend warrior woodworkers. Fantastic job making possibly the most affordable workbench on RUclips with virtually all new materials.
someone like me would mix this simple project with using maybe a different wood just to make it more of what I need this is why watch these sorts of videos to inspire me
i wish id seen this before my bench build,,,,,BUT i am going to do the drawers like that.. ive never built drawers heck ive never built a bench either till now.!!! this video gives confidence to do another one that looks better
Great and timely video. I have been getting ready to build a bench, but the cost of materials was holding me up, watching your video showed me I could do it for less and still have a strong, workable bench for a lot less money. Thanks for making this video and showing me there are ways around the expenses and still have a good end product.
I don't know the first thing about woodworking- wish I did though! I would love to be able to save a buck building the things I need. Maybe you could do a video on how to get into things, Jeremy? Would love that!
Awesome! I started a workbench build with some old deck lumber last summer, but have not finished...it is a whole lot bigger, so I might need to lower it a bit (too tall) and has locking wheels for easy mobility.
awwww that was so loving of your Dad gave you his tools, I'd love a work shop like that!!!! boy, I'd get the things I want DONE as they say married to a mechanic the wife's vehicle is last To Be Done, well Carpenter husband and still waiting on a few things Done! 😞😞😞😞 I always worked with machines not many hand tools, even though I can broke my back 3X so I like the easiest way to get it done! I Lost All my equipment in a shop/Barn fire 😥😖 so we're left with hand tools! Great job! 👍👍
Mucho gratitude to you sir...for all the time, energy , you put in sharing, your great life with us,, your loyal viewers. LOL @ 1:59 yes sir....that's what we budget beavers want....on the cheap and easy to build..LOL
I used to be way too OCD and over-engineer everything I built. Now I'm a lot more practical about it. I do enjoy doing build videos but I'm still trying to figure out how much detail to go into without making them too long and boring for some people who just want to see the overall project.
@5:52 & 14:23 Really picking up alot of Good Build tips from your videos (3,4,5 method) (wax on wax off)...thanks for that. Learning lots from viewing the process of your diy's ..thanks jeremy.
Thanks for a sturdy and truly a low cost workbench. like those drawer runners. easy hints in your build on measure and squaring that some builders should review. Hals Wood Shop
That's one of the best of the easy workshop bench builds I have seen, and I have seen pretty much all of them on RUclips, you build some amazing things,That Harley above your work bench,I'm presuming you built looks the duck's nuts, enjoyed your video.
The way you built those drawers was awesome. I'm new to woodworking and I've been looking for an easier way to do them. This is the perfect way; without build a cabinet to get it done. Thanks!
Great video.Fantastic project.Your right on one thing.Surprising how having the right tools makes a difference.I've just subscribed, look forward to more videos.Good luck for the future.
Great vid & ideas man! Thanks for sharing. Excellent example of how, w woodworking, there's usually several different ways to accomplish the same result. Ex: I never woulda' thought about how you mounted the side drawer supports underneath the bench. Looking forward to more vids.
wow! i am so glad to have found this video and your channel. i was just reminded of how my papa would have loved watching this with me as he was also into woodworking. passed away over 3 years ago but i could just imagine if he'd been alive today. i work in IT consultancy but am being inspired lately to continue with my papa's woodworking pursuits and passion. thank you, jeremy!
I really love your video. I have two questions, (1) How did you go about measuring for the bench and (2) how can I had more drawers to the bench. Once again thanks for the video, will be building after Christmas 2019.
Jeremy - great video! I like your drawer concept. I just set out to build a "budget work bench" I have almost $200 in it already. Sighhhh. Interesting note - I have a good many of the exact same tools in my own small workspace, right down to the Pilot pencil, LOL! Would love to see more of your "build" videos in the same level of detail as this one. Thanks!
Love the design. I just finished two small projects and am ready to get my bench put together. Like that it has drawers and so easy to make too. I didn't catch what you called those rollers under the drawers because your music cut out what you said. At least on my PC. Anyway keep up the good work. Where can I get some plans?
+Leslie Sadler I use Sketchup for the model and Layout for the shop drawings. CutList for the cut list. I do it for cabinet and furniture companies sometimes.
Wow! Great video! Our son just sent his Dad the Kreg K5 Master Jig set for his birthday yesterday. I'm going to show my husband your youtube channel. He will really like all the stuff that you guys do. Especially the shop stuff. Thanks! Oh by the way we are also from North Carolina, not far from you guys. We love our North Carolina home!
Great job Jeremy! Thanks for the information, it helps a lot. Can you do a video on your shop and the tools and equipment you use? I watch Wranglerstar channel and his shop is good but very expensive. Your channel is more reality based for me. Thanks
My "shop" is a simple 8'x12' space in my basement with the 2 workbenches in this video. I use just basic tools but do have a few power tools. I might make a video about it in the future though. Thanks for watching.
Hi, Great bench project and was just what I was looking for. Thank for the excellent plans and parts lists as well. It’s a great design and not a way that I would have thought of. Just one question, on your video you show the draw runner supports at the top of the bench, but the drawing seems to show it at the bottom unless I’m mistaken. Can I assume it’s as you built it in the video? Thanks again and we look forward to more videos
Like the bench, good build. I have the same Craftsman table saw, don't like the smaller than standard miter grooves, otherwise it works well for me. Have you made a sled for it? Also what is the music? We are over south of Goldsboro and still have a few roads not repaired from Mathew, sucks!
+Bob Derby - I agree the miter grooves are pretty useless but otherwise it's a decent saw. I haven't made a sled yet but I will this year and a box joint jig. Thanks for watching.
Great video. I have one question. What length screws did you use for the pocket holes on the 1/2 inch plywood? Kreg recommends 1 inch screws for 1/2 inch material but 1/2 ply is not quite a 1/2 inch. When I have tried to use 1 inch pocket hole screws they have always blown out my 1/2 inch plywood.
I would say yes it's definitely worth it if you are building drawers or cabinets or casework. You just have to think about where the pocket holes will be when you are designing the project so you can make sure they are hidden. The holes can be filled and sanded but that takes longer and I want tools that save me time and money.
I have been toying with the idea of picking one up. Might be worth a review on this tool if you have the time(?). I enjoy your videos keep up the great content!
Including plans awsome. Have to get my dad to build stuff for me. He has the tools. Would be great to have this workbench and not have him use my kitchencountertop and saw into it. Yes, he did and i forgave him, he's my dad.
I can't believe those prices for the plywood - they are giving it away - I would have to pay at least 4 times that for an inferior quality product. Insane.
100% practical and a suitable workbench for 95% of weekend warrior woodworkers.
Fantastic job making possibly the most affordable workbench on RUclips with virtually all new materials.
Pretty sweet and simple build. Thanx. Thought is was pretty cool you sent a shot out to your dad at the end....classy.👍
I like the work bench. I built one similar a few years back without the drawers. The drawers would be a welcome addition.
Yeah, the drawers are a fantastic and so practical.

I appreciate the audio combination of music meshed with quiet elapsed speed work sounds.
Nice editing!
Thanks for sharing your work efforts~
i appreciate this video particularly due to the fact that all the acoustic tunes are pitched to the power tools they are soundtracking.

You take big Risk with your wonderful hands, during cutting.
Kick back happens... please be supper safe.
God bless the generous Dads out there.
Of course we all want the best bench we can afford. My compliments, a very nice end product for the budget.
GREAT JOB. Thank you for sharing. Very informative and you are SUPER organized. Love it.

well done ... I like your simple, common sense approach and instructions
Just came across this build. Great job!! Thanks for making the plans available!!
+Todd Ellefson - You're welcome Todd.
like the way you go about you`r projects no messing around "just do it" look forward to more projects.

That wax idea was genius!
Very nice! That is exactly what I have in mind! One of my upcoming summer projects!
I've looked in the description and can't for the life of me find the plans. Seems I'm not the only one. Please post those. Thx

This will be my kitchen island! Love it!
An 8 foot piece of 2x4 spruce lumber is currently 9 $CAD around my place... crazy prices!
Nice build, thanks for the plans.
Nice bench, thanks for sharing
Hopefully more projects to come now that I have a little shop inside. It was a fun build.

+Gibo Trebs Llarena - Yes! Just make something. 😊
hey, thats really good work, thanks for sharing!👍
That’s a cool inexpensive build. Thanks.
I really love your video. I have two questions, (1) How did you go about measuring for the bench and (2) how can I had more drawers to the bench. Once again thanks for the video, will be building after Christmas 2019.
nice one I probably will use very similar design thanks!!
Nice bench, you are very organized in your work!
I think a bit too OCD lol

+Dan Hartman - Thanks for watching. It was quite the challenge to build this cheaply without sacrificing quality. I'll be doing more builds this year.
thank you
Well done.
great build and very pleasant to watch, thanks for posting ....Garry from the UK
I'm going to build this next weekend! Thanks for the great plans. Can you tell me what length screws you used?

I didn't catch what you called those rollers under the drawers because your music cut out what you said. At least on my PC. Anyway keep up the good work. Where can I get some plans?
There is a link to the plans in the video description.
Great video! The link to the plans is saying Not Found, is there any chance it can be updated? Thank you!!
Good presentation, and great project and very informative, watch those fingers :-)
I down loaded the plans and they looked really detailed. You must have used a form of visio or a cad drawing.
+Leslie Sadler I use Sketchup for the model and Layout for the shop drawings. CutList for the cut list. I do it for cabinet and furniture companies sometimes.

great simple video with detailed plans. speaking of the plans, what software did you use for this? thanks again!
+MrEd Mister - Sketchup
Awesome job bro!
Your a man with unique skills...Beautiful build!!!!
Very nice workable bench.
+David Farris - Thanks David. It has worked perfectly. 👍🏻
Nice build Jeremy! All the way from South Africa..
Great job Jeremy!

Just wondering if the plans for the work bench were still available the link doesn’t work thanks. Warren kean
I like the workbench, but the drawers I would have put an open shelve right across and build a bunch of pullout boxes.
What side drawer slides would I buy to use with these?
Awesome video!!
Great tip to stop blowout

3/4 screws work well on 1/2” ply
Nice video! how much for the sander?
+Kodi Ham I think it was $50
Well done
Great video, I would like to do a similar workbench with casters...should anything be done to strengthen the table?
Nope. Would work great with casters.
@@Guildbrookfarm Thanks
Hi can I get the plans please. The link does not work anymore.
I cannot get your plans to load, still. Are you going to correct the link?
Nice bench! How do you like the Kreg tool? Worth the $$$...?

Got Sig? I noticed the toolbox sticker.
+gene ward - 😉
What slides do you recommend?? There seems to be a lot of complaints...
I used Blum full length slides
where to buy those drawer rolls? or how they are called?
What is a good way to attach the top without having any screws showing ?
Screw from the bottom
what software do you use. That looks cool.
+Bob Eagle - Sketchup
Need the plans please
Thought it was a Dokken shirt.
nice work . suscripto y like

That is a very impressive table however y'all must have some serious money. Most normal people can't afford equipment like that.
+lbsmith83 - Not at all. Craigslist is your friend.
You can use a handsaw for all of this.
Hello, I cant seem to find the plans for this workbench, are they still available?
The link is in the video description
@@Guildbrookfarm it doesn't seem to be there

Build a 65$ bench... with 5000$ worth of power tools and weirdly specific accessories you might just use once in a lifetime. But still a nice design.
If you have money for all equipment, for what you need build a modest workbench?. I dont understand.
He told the reason why in the video.
Your plans will not load
Well if your family ain’t the richest homesteaders I have watched...
Too complex!
