"KISS is proof of the American Dream. Where else could two Jews, a Catholic, and a Lutheran get together and create one of the greatest shows on Earth." - Ace Frehley
First album (yes album) I bought by them, first album of theirs I heard was Love Gun and that is the album that got me into them all those decades ago...
You're damn right my friend! KISS was my first favorite band, still love em for what they did. No one...NO ONE... went as hard and heavy as KISS did in that time frame. They set the foundation for so many bands and genres of music. The Hottest Band in the World!
Bill Schabot that’s cool af dude. I saw them in 2016 and the show was... lackluster... but they’re getting older. I’m sad Ace and Peter are no longer in the band. Ace is my fave.
I became a drummer because of KISS & Peter with his solo on 100,000 Years. Used to sit in my room dreaming of being a rock star. Achieved some local success & played some KISS covers to boot. As a musician the one thing that sticks out in my mind about the band was their preparedness. Everything was calculated & predestined. Gene was a huge part of that. But when they played on stage it never looked that way. The show was so crazy & full of energy that it all looked fresh. A hard result to achieve.
This is my favorite KISS song. I love how after Paul finishes that nice calm intro you here the drum stick count down by Peter and then it's BOOM and on from there. If you liked Peter Criss's vocals on this song you should try listening to "Hard Luck Women" next.
Ace is The Man..lead guitar..I was only 7 yrs old and had the Alive 2 record album and played it every day after school on my old record player. Back in 1978
People today, youngins, lol, don’t realize how huge of an event it was, when KISS came to your town. Also, NOBODY knew what they looked like without the paint, and no one saw them Without it until 1983,...PLUS: new album( sometimes two) a year, and with each tour, a totally different stages how:different costumes:pyro: but the paint remained the same.... Checkout KISS doing GodOfTHUNDER live in east Rutherford, NewJersey.....the crowd is louder than the damn band
I have been a KISS fan my whole life. I’m 27. My parents were huge die hard fans so I grew up on the band. I got to see them in concert in 2016 and hands down the best show I’ve ever been to.
This is about the time that KISS really took off and reached superstar level. The KISS army was born and KISStory was officially beginning it's golden era
Ham and Ice both was let me tell you it was just even if they was with the most talented musicians in the world they was damn good they sounded good it was wrong it was rock and roll it was exciting that ended when Peter and Ace left it ended I saw a concert with the old kiss one of my favorites of all time it was amazing I saw the show years later off the lick it up lineup let me tell you something about that show it was awful sucked I asked terrible
Peter Criss was the most underrated member of the band. No Peter and no Ace = no KISS. Just watch Ace and Peter playing their asses off on stage. They were the backbone musically on stage.
Cool reaction....Huge Kiss fan since was 8 years old(now 50)...i'd suggest Makin Love...live version one the heaviest of the 70s era also Parisite/100 000 years/She/Firehouse so many songs....the 80s era well worth a listen to...
Some fun stuff at the time. Kiss was different from a lot of the bands at the time. We had a band in high school, played a lot of stuff off the first alive album. We even had flash boxes and even made a fog machine. A Lot of fun. The original band had some fire.
This Parasite and She...are as hard 1970’s rockers and so underrated in general for Kiss...real rockers get it and respect the early stuff....born in 1970 so I missed seeing them in their prime but had the trading cards, action figures, and their pinball machine(wish I still had be worth a bit) saw them in 1996 in Boston for the reunion tour spent $475 for my 2nd row seat and went with my friend Dave let me tell you I,ve been to almost 200 shows from Van Halen to Tony Bennet to Guns ACDC Barry white all the hair bands even Run DMC and Kiss hands down put on the best show 2 hours of energy pyro etc they really put it out their for their fans...so yes I’m 49 own two businesses and have a family here in SWFL but i still jump in my car and every once in a awhile still crank up KISS and rock out...
Epic Performance. All You have to do is get an Ace Frehley lead vocal song. I suggest Shock Me (Alive 2) or New York Groove (from under the Brooklyn Bridge)
Like it or not. Kiss has survived 40 years in the Rock industry! We all have our favorite era of Kiss, mine being the 70's, but they are American Rock Icons! Still rocking!
Loved it India!!....I was 5 when they performed this and, believe it, I already had bought (gifts from family, birthdays, Christmas) the first 3 albums.....I totally recommend "Cold Gin"....I think there's a live video from San Francisco that absolutely rocks this great song written by Ace Frehley.
My all time favorite Kiss song. IMO it showed their potential like none other. If you want to hear a different side to Kiss, check out A World Without Heroes. Most Kiss fans hate it because it veered away from their party rock but it's always been one of my favorites.
What?!? A symphony?!? KISS?!? KISS and a symphony?!? Is that a oxymoron?!? This was a song we always blasted during all parties and the entire album was great in my humble opinion.
Awesome memory for you...in 1975 I was 8 years. For Halloween my mom painted my face as Ace Frehley, my brother Greg's as Gene Simmons and 2 other neighbor kids as Paul and Peter. Coolest trick or treating ever!!
This is why KISS is one of the highest grossing $$$ bands ever in rock history. Paul Stanley has had several surgeries on his hips, from what I understand, due to all of those years of walking on those heels. He has one of the most iconic voices in rock 'n roll.
What you see in this video was a hungry band, ready to conquer the world. The greatest band of all time, imo. There will never be another band like KISS.
KISS is the most underrated band in history despite have I v the most devoted fans imaginable. Even until today. No band has that, which sadly is an Achilles heel to the band’s non acceptable and credibility to so many. 70s KISS was THE bomb.
I've got too apologize to you. I have caught up with you way to late but I am happy I did. You don't hold anything back and I love 💘😘 that. KISS, in the early 70s, really knew how to be brash and bold and you are too. It's refreshing. Thank you. This is one of the coolest classics from the live catalog of KISS. Some others are Firehouse, Detroit Rock City and God of Thunder.
Been a KISS fan since 1976. Check out the video for the song I JUST WANNA. This was done during the bands non makeup years in the 90's. It's my #2 fav KISS song
@@matthewdrake4385 I think they had a few good numbers even without the makeup for that one album, but some time after that they started to slip I think.
I always look at the classic era with the original 4 being the best. Creatures of the night and lick it up had a few decent tracks.Revenge too, but otherwise been not the same.
Well I was a big kiss fan let me tell you I saw a Kiss concert right before the Destroyer album was even on the shelves they was playing the Destroyer album but it wasn't even on the shelves yet let me tell you that concert was Kick-Ass Kick-Ass one of the best concert I've ever seen I saw him years later when I couldn't even tell you I couldn't even tell you who they had it was when I had the lick it up line up whoever was in that let me tell you something about that show it sucked ass terrible
Is that one right there is one of my most favorite Kiss songs also like Strutter a lot and the Destroyer stand-off rock and roll over baby driver baby driver damn that's a good song from rock and roll over
KISS is a Gene Simmons production staring Paul Stanley. I have seen them every tour of Australia, the best was 1996 when I scored "industry" seats. They used cherry pickers as stage lifts so they could swing out to the balconies. Paul and Gene were just 10 feet away from me, awesome.
STILL touring, Too bad Paul & Gene are arguing like little schoolgirls with the other 2 original members Peter & Ace . I played the F**k out out my brother's copy of Alive I . Still love it
You got that right you exactly on it that's my opinion exactly I saw the old kiss just before destroy your head came out they was playing the Destroyer album but it wasn't even on the shelves yet man you talking about a damn good concert. I saw kiss years after that when they had so and so and so and so you know what it sucked
Why do you think the people were going to the stage to get some of those drums Peter kicked over? Because they knew they were seeing greatness! Remember when Kiss first came out no one had ever seen anything like them before, the kids at that show knew what they were witnessing!
Black Diamond was a great show "ender" for them. I was a fan from the moment I first heard them in 76(I was 9, lol ). They always had a song for whatever mood I was in. Love Gun, Detroit Rock City, God of Thunder, Heavens On Fire, Psycho Circus are all songs I think you'd enjoy reacting to...though everything they do is a bit unique.
This was kiss in its original form the players have changed all but Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons it's the original cast of this group that remains iconic
7th grade friend bout this into music class brand new mid 70's I was hooked a brother on Isley brothers Jackson temps tops Marvin parliament were tossed to the side ..it was do outrageous I loved it found led zep n stones Doors n Jethro Tull RB n soul took a backseat lol

THE GREATEST BAND IN THE LAND...........KISS@&$@%#$#@&%##×!%&"#!&%#
Seen them 6 times. The GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. AND RIGHT BEHIND IT IS " O " At the Bellagio in Vegas.
KISS does NOT get the respect deserved for everything up through, and including, Destroyer...the stuff is as heavy as you could get... outstanding.
ABSOLUTLEY
First album (yes album) I bought by them, first album of theirs I heard was Love Gun and that is the album that got me into them all those decades ago...
The people that probably say that, listened to their sellout 80's albums. Kiss in the 70s was as talented as most bands of the time.
You're damn right my friend! KISS was my first favorite band, still love em for what they did. No one...NO ONE... went as hard and heavy as KISS did in that time frame. They set the foundation for so many bands and genres of music. The Hottest Band in the World!
History will always be on their side and it is increasing. I have seen Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin on stage (youtube) and kiss simply kills them…
Perfection..heavy rock..vocals, harmonies, guitar bass, drums ,lead guitar..show, lights..kiss had it all..they were the masters...
I saw this tour in '75, even caught a Peter Criss drumstick
Bill Schabot that’s cool af dude. I saw them in 2016 and the show was... lackluster... but they’re getting older. I’m sad Ace and Peter are no longer in the band. Ace is my fave.
Saw them in this tour... Capitol Theater in New Jersey
@@noelgonzalez7390 the one I saw was Springfield, Massachusetts
Wow.. that's cool
Dont lie, what brand?
One of rock's all time greatest songs...period!!!!!!!!
This was amazing back in the mid 70’s....😉. It still is....
My ultimate favorite KISS footage ever leaked.
When you go to a Kiss concert, they give you a SHOW.

Tom Rocks Also “Baby Driver” sung by Criss....LOVE that one.
Baby Driver, Hard Luck Woman, Got Nothin To Lose, Beth, all really great vocals by the original drummer, Peter Criss ♥️
@@therachealg wow, I loved the song Beth as a Teenager. Never knew it was sung by Peter Criss.
cailinka yep. That was his staple song with KISS back in the day. One of my faves. ❤️
(btw, Peter Criss was the drummer)

Ace is The Man..lead guitar..I was only 7 yrs old and had the Alive 2 record album and played it every day after school on my old record player. Back in 1978
I born and live in México city and....fan of KISS since I was 7 years old!...good reaction girl!!...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cool to see SOMEONE doing KISS reactions.
Oh, man, I was there for that tour. Front row, crushed against the front barrier and they were amazing live, blowing my high school teenage brain.

Definatly one of their greatest Songs ever.Greatings from a KISS ARMY GERMANY Member for more than 40 Years now !
THAT'S AN OLD OLDDDDDDD T.V SHOW CALLED MIDNIGHT SPECIAL THAT AIRED ON FRIDAY NIGHTS AT MIDNITE INDIA! LOL :)
Peter wrecking his drums at the end was improvised. No one in the band saw it coming and had to get out of the way.

Holyshit my mind was just blown this is the greatest thing I've ever seen by a rock band the song the image the performance just mind-blowing
Of all the versions I've seen this is my favorite.
Chills when Peter sings...

Kiss Alive! What a great record. Back in eighth grade my garage band buddies and I used to play this song -- or try to at least.
This appearance on the Midnight Special turned me into a life long member of the Kiss Army. I was 13. Their peak IMO.
Epic Performance. All You have to do is get an Ace Frehley lead vocal song. I suggest Shock Me (Alive 2) or New York Groove (from under the Brooklyn Bridge)
Yoshiki and the American Symphony Orchestra does a great rendition of this it's all instrumental, very emotional. One of my favorite songs from Kiss.
Black Diamond is one of my KISS favorites. Another one that I like is Hard Luck Woman and also Cold Gin.

I like that you listen to a song all the way through before you make any judgements. And this version of Black Diamond was from the Midnight Special.
Kiss wanted to make sure that people got their money's worth at their shows.
ace made this song
that second solo on his knees was KILLER
Awesome! Love older KISS! All 4 had solo albums and can sing with Ace being my favorite! New York Groove is a Cool one!🎶

He needed to have surgery on his frickin mouth, so he could shut the fuck up and stop bashing Peter and Ace real talent and living legends 👏!
Now watch the Kiss Symphony version of this song. That's Kiss backed by a symphony orchestra. Adds a whole new level to Kiss.
Thank you for this! I love KISS! Saw their end of road concert in Charlotte! Got Paul on my shoulder 💜💜💜

A bit overkill on the fog machine 😂😃😁
Peters voice is one of my favorites in rock. Might be a minority in that thought
