• Kiss- I Stole Your Lov...
Today on the channel, we are once again checking out KISS performing "I Stole Your Love" live in 1977. I always love looking back on these older videos and this is a tune that I have never heard before! I love the uptempo feel of it and they once again killed it with the syncopation. What should I check out next from these legends? Hope you enjoy! #reaction #kiss #kissarmy #70srock #genesimmons #classicrock #acefrehley #petercriss #paulstanley #musicreactions

Back at it again with the LEGENDS!! Post your next KISS recommendation below! 👇🏻👇🏻
Listen to this one! It's Rockin'......
KISS - Makin' Love / at BUDOKAN 2th April,1977
ruclips.net/video/dJleWO_7WyU/видео.html
No doubt, THIS is THE BEST line up! Peter Criss was a beast behind the kit.
One of their best songs...!!!
My first concert was KISS, July 12, 1977. Montreal Forum. I was 12 and I don't think I blinked once! I've been a fan since 1975 and I'm still a fan to this day.
That’s so awesome!! Thanks for sharing and hanging out! 😁
@@setonhillstudios you should check out the title track from KISS - Creatures Of The Night. That's all I'm gonna say...
I remember seeing KISS perform this song in the 1978 TV movie "Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park". It's a song that doesn't get talked about much, but it's another great KISS Klassic. Another underappreciated song that I think you'd like is King Of The Night Time World--my personal favorite from Destroyer. Keep rocking out to KISS!
Kiss was the most popular band in North America from 77-78. One of the best days of my life, was when I saw Kiss at their peak on July 31/77. Love Gun Tour. I was 8 years old.
This was the tour that made them the biggest band in the world
YES!!!! live 70's era KISS from 1975-1978 are the BEST! Keep it up PLEASE!!
It was a great era to be a KISS fan!
This was the first song on the first album I ever owned by KISS! I was like 5yo and it hit like a nuke. I’ve never been the same since…. My dad is a legend for buying Love Gun for me. He knew it meant everything!
LOVE THIS SONG!!!! glad your discovering some more of their deep cuts songs instead of the more known radio type songs
Shock me please its a really good KISS song
This is my kind of KISS!
Yes!! Again, this was the era I was playing my drums along to . I forgot Paul Stanley played lead on this. He's a good lead player when he steps up! I wore out 2 copies each of Alive and Alive 2 back in the day. Thanks for the flashback!
Dec 1977 I saw this tour with Bon Scott era, AC/DC opening up. AWESOME!!
The Alive II Tour
One of my top 10 Kiss songs
love this tune. may be my favorite Kiss song.
My first KISS show was this stage set-up in '77. I was 15 and thrilled out of my mind!
This is when kiss ruled the world!!
Paul Stanley said, some years ago, that the inspiration when writing this song, was Burn, by Deep Purple. I never noticed that, but when I read that statement by Paul, I thought.. Is so obvious, how did I not noticed it before! Lol!
Yes he did. You can hear it in the cord pattern.
So much better than Burn. If you’re gonna be influenced, be sure to blow the influence out of the water I guess.
@@tbone7679I’m a huge purple fan and Burn is amazing for me. I can see it and I had never thought about it at all.
It's the opening and continues riff it sounds like burn
It’s never ended.. What KISS was, the music, the time, wasn’t, can’t be matched.. I’ve seen em, a lot.. original line up, ACE, PETER.. It’s nobody else like it, the sound.. SO FUCKIN ORIGINAL
In 1977 there was no show more bombastic than that one there. Paul Stanley said he based the riff off of Deep Purple's song Burn.
This was KISS at their peak. I saw them on this tour when I was in third grade. Epic!
This song and this album Lovegun came out as I graduated high school in 77. The tour was fabulous. Still my favourite band since 1974!👍👍🤘🤘
Riff is amazing!!! Peter is SOOO underrated, despite what Paul and Gene say...
Finally your seeing KISS truly at it's best, anything from 1976 to 1977 is the pinical of what the original KISS is.
Could you play Makin' Love 1976 (Japan Concert)
THIS HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE SONG SINCE 1977
Such a great tune!!! 🎶
I like how Paul takes the first of the solo then Ace finishes it
Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷❤
Oh this is a great tune
Atlanta 1977 my first KISS show. ⚡
KISS was the very first band, celebrity (or anyone for that matter) that understood the true concept of the modern "Brand". They WERE those personas at all times in public and truly understood merchandising. Gene was an absolute genius in that regard
It definitely seems that way! I mean I think they slapped their brand on every single item ever made! 🤣 Smart move though to be honest!
@@setonhillstudios yes that's true! I've been KISS army since the 70's and I've seen everything from KISS coffee mugs, action figures, window ice scrapers, incense burners and even toilet paper. And with the best stage presence of all time how could they fail lol
Peter (the drummer) actually started out playing jazz drums and that’s why it’s so different
Thank you for finally getting to this! More suggestions, Rise To It/ official video, Hide Your Heart/ official video, I Just Wanna.../video,& Watch all of the MTV Unplugged show from 95.
A more obscure time for KISS was their Music from the Elder soundtrack . I don’t think the movie was ever made. However, the track called The Oath was a total banger, IMO. There is a live version you should react to…
1977 Kiss. At the height of their powers! ALIVE II
KISS Alive II is the album is the Love Gun tour. Making Love and I Want You are a couple of heavies. Listen to the live version from '77 -'78.
I've been a KiSS fan since Halloween 1976 baby 👌✌️
Same with me.
That was the coolest stage with the light steps
Always liked this song. Really appreciate you coving all the great songs and band from my youth!
Thanks for hanging out! Having a blast! 😁
1970's KISS had the magic, that's for sure. I love watching their concert footage, but this is also a GREAT studio track. I mean, the studio version KILLS. It's the opening track on their Love Gun album and it's a monster. In concert, you can't really hear the drummer's fills or his floor tom work, but you can on the studio album version. I really like his use of the floor and rack toms on the studio track. It races along, that's for sure, so it's a short song and well worth a quick listen. It's also one of the fastest solos their lead guitarist plays. He's usually a melodic player--really good solos that aren't high in difficulty but are definitely very listenable/memorable/hummable and have great structure, but he's really moving on this particular solo. Great song and great job! I enjoy the technical breakdown, which you provide, of what the drummer is doing.
Thanks for hanging out and I really appreciate it! This tune was a banger for sure! 🔥🔥
One of their best, in my opinion! Love this!
Back in 77 i was 11 yrs old my first album i ever bought was Love Gun.. When i heard I stole your love it blew me away.. Kiss made me the Metal fan i am today and i still throw Love Gun on often...
The. Hi bpm…is probably due to Peter’s coke use. Kiss often mentioned that. Or that they had many songs to play and they will and do slow it down. Keep it up!!! It’s no debate that you are doing a great job!!!! Kiss forever!!!!
I was at this concert at the Houston Summit in 77’
Great song, great presence, but simplistic!
KISS made such an impact on the planet, zillions of people enlisted to the KISS army ‼️🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
One of their 3 best concert openers!
Listen to it on Alive 2, blows the studio version away. IMO
Only few bands could have been at the same live level that kiss played from 74/77 , cheap trick were the opening band there and they were incredible that era also , love them both, keep it up man, have fun
One of my favorite KISS songs & one of my favorite versions!
Let's Gooooo! I've seen them live 3 times and once it was front row center floors and I was a half foot away from Paul and Ace. Coolest stuff ever 😎. Twice with makeup once without and when they dress up they're freaking huge with their platforms. I want to Rock and Roll all night in you haven't done it yet. I kn🎉it seems like I've seen a lot of artists or band's it's because I have all I ever did was save money and go to concerts. I've seen at least 60 different acts but I'd have to sit down and write them all out cause there's so many. And I'm glad I did that as a teen to my 30s because you can't beat great memories 😂 Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
Thanks for the memories and excitement. This takes me back to when I saw them on this LOVE GUN tour. Warm up band was Cheap Trick on their debut
Another good one from Peter is called Mainline from Hotter Than Hell
If haven’t checked out Shock Me, you have to. Killer tune with Ace Frehley on vocals.
Never heard of I stole your love??? Wow... their best show opener period
If you like Peter Criss from KISS you should check out the song Hooligan either album version from Love Gun or live video from Houston 1977
Seton Hill Studios: This was the Kiss tour and album that made them the top act in the world. When the album was released though, this opening track was considered too ‘hard’ for a radio hit. So they chose the 50s early-rock, doowop inspired “Christine Sixteen” as the single. And it was a hit. Nowadays people unfortunately (stupidly) consider it “creepy” and say the lyrics are about a ‘predator’. Those interpretations clearly have no clue about the references to early ‘teenage rock’ songs from the fifties Gene was referring to and paying tribute to. I still recommend Gene’s ‘Kiss Solo Album’ cover of “When You Wish Upon A Star” from the 1940 Disney ‘Pinocchio’. You will NEVER see Gene as a monster, demon again!
Good one. Best era! 😂
You want high bpm? Try "Makin Love" from same era.
I agree with this message. That is one song you break the knob off cause you can't get it any louder. That opening riff.....damn it's fire.
So stoked for this one 🙌🔥
Those "characters" just added to the pulse pounding rock.
Peter:Cat pouncing on the kit like prey.
Ace:Strolling and staggering as if gravity was new to him.
Paul:Pouting,jumping and prancing lustfully.
Gene:Fire breathing blood puking monster from your nightmares.
Alive II was the first album I had.Blew my speakers!🎵🎸🥁🔥🩸⚡️🤟
Alive ll was the first album that I ever bought... January '78.
You should def check out "Got to Choose" live 1975 Winterland (B&W concert footage). Cool opening guitar riff, sick cowbell, and a nice groove.
Yes sir! I thought you forgot about the boys. This song rocks. I love it. Thanks for another banger!!!
Check out Mr.Speed and Ladies Room from the Rock n Roll Over album!!🤘🏻
I was glad to see this come up on my feed. I know you reacted to Love Gun already, but you should check out Love Gun from this 9/2/77 concert. Cool stuff! By the way, I Stole Your Love is the title track from KISS’ Love Gun album. Great album! Oh!! Check out Shock Me, from that same concert. It’s Ace Frehley’s singing debut and it has a cool guitar solo at the end. 👍🏼
That's how you open a concert!
💯🔥🔥🔥
Oh Yea, One of my favorites...😊😊😊 oh yea we got a certified banger...
That we do!!! 🔥
The Love Gun tour was the first time Kiss as a band had any money. Alive was a hit album and it boosted the sales of their first 3 albums. A ticket to this tour cost 6 dollars.
Kisses of 70's are amazing🤘
Great show but I personally love the studio version
Down stage December 1977 , with ac/ dc , KISS WILD SHOW
You need to check out Strange Ways
You should check out "Parasite", "Christine Sixteen" and "Rocket Ride"!
Parasite is on the channel! Go to our homepage and scroll down to the “KISS” playlist! 🤘🏻
The 4 original members put out Solo albums you should do a song from each.
Kiss played a little faster tempo live than on the album intentionally too keep the adrenaline flowing.
In 76 my sister had their 5th album Rock and Roll Over. I did a full poster of the album cover in colored pencil for her. I wonder if she still has it. 🤔
Dang it. I keep showing up for these Kiss videos and people are gonna talk. But once in a while, they hit it on the head and this is one of those times. I haven't heard this in ages, and it strikes me as sounding very Deep Purple-y. I'm always interested to hear your critique of Criss' drumming, as i've been reading for years from different sources that he was, to be kind, a poor player. I'm Roger Taylor/Danny Carey guy, so what do I know? I'd like to know that he's better than advertised. Love your channel!
Steve talks about Peter's drumming on some vids, and he's not out to trash anyone. My question is: do you like his drumming? I do. In fact, Peter Criss gave me my first love for drumming. I understand the criticism, most of which deals with points that just don't resonate with me. I like what Criss ~does~ more than I care about what he ~doesn't~ do. (edit: to be clear, when I ask if you like Peter's playing, what I mean is: if you like it, great! If you don't, that's cool. Will someone else's opinion change how the music affects you when you listen?)
I’ve always played the kick on the 1& and 3&. Not easy at that bpm
The big hit on the album that this song appeared was "Christine Sixteen"...a tune you don't hear too much anymore, considering the questionable subject matter!
Man people send you some awesome requests. Not many other hosts tackle these gems from this group. Could you please check out my favorite drum solo . John Bonham live footage from London, during a song called Moby Dick. Thank you and keep up the amazing work. Let's go!
Not trying p#ss in your pocket mate but I love your channel. I love the way you explain things, break things down and acknowledge things for what they are. Your reaction to KISS songs blow me away. Being a KISS fan from the 70s I have head so much hate for the band p, the songs, the performances, the whole bit. We all have. To have an open and honest mind like you have is very refreshing. Now I don’t like EVERY song they have released. I don’t blindly like every album they have released either. But they are my fave band by far.
If you look at these songs and you call them bangers, well imagine what it was like growing up in the seventies as a teen and getting hooked on KISS. Add to that the mystery of who they were. We didn’t know. The magic was awesome. We looked at them like they were gods, each person being so different. Ace and Peter brought so much to the band as did Paul and Gene. It was incredible times that cannot be really understood unless you lived it. Sure they had haters, but ppl can like what they want. But so many of us were hooked, and gladly so. Everything to us was awesome.
Loving the real reactions. You4 channel is a blessing. You are an honest person that is helping myself and so many others understand so much about the composition of the music. Thank you.
Really appreciate all the kind words and so glad you are enjoying the channel!! Thanks so much and definitely more KISS to come! Loving the journey! 🤘🏻
Steven! For the love of Peter, Paul, and Ace stop mucking around and react to “Makin’ Love” off of Kiss Alive II. KILLER riff, and one of Ace Frehley’s BEST solos. Guaranteed to be a BANGER! 😁
🤣😂 You got a link to a live performance?
@@setonhillstudios So, the two most outstanding things about this song is the riff, and Ace’s solo. The best live version of this song is the audio from Kiss Alive II - ruclips.net/video/kVVLv8LMPUE/видео.htmlsi=q9Nfu5WMx2euRBP-
I could not find the video for the audio version, but this live version, same tour, at least captures the riff and the solo, and we know how much we LOVE seeing Kiss perform live in the 70’s - my favorite era: ruclips.net/video/Vp__SYfBuro/видео.htmlsi=kgKb3xxOpgCKWfgc
You pick which version you want to react to. A good problem to have 😎
You have to react to shock me banger of a song
Check out hotter than hell and got to choose from 1975 alive album
Shock Me = Best Song on a Great Album
⚡️♠️👍
He needs to do MR SPEED one of kiss underrated tunes
Original KISS is The Greatest KISS !! Gotta checkout I Want You on perhaps their best album Rock And Roll Over!!!
"Guit-tar!" Darn, doesn't say it in this performance. Sure, may be easy to play, but great music isn't determined only by complexity... else, all those sideline critics would be bigger than Kiss...
....hard to hear, but check out ALBUM version ,so you can truly hear the solo ( Paul plays the start & Ace plays the end of solo) from LOVE GUN ALBUM🤘
You should be the first reactor on RUclips to check out the studio version of "Nowhere To Run."
Check this band from Japan that is in some ways like KISS. But then again, maybe not SEIKIMA-II! From the 80's.
One of the things Kiss held over the biggest bands of the 70's was that they killed it live every time they took the stage... Even if Ace Frehley (lead guitar) or Peter Criss (drums) were struggling w/ substance abuse, Paul Stanley (vocals/ guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals/ bass) always brought their top game on tour...
Even Led Zeppelin had nights where they were rickety onstage - and they were the biggest band in the 70's... Aerosmith were so messed up by 1977 that they were a mess onstage... Black Sabbath was the heaviest band in the decade and they were struggling by 1976 (The same year Deep Purple had split up)
U had bands like Blue Oyster Cult, Queen, Heart, Sammy Hagar (solo), Rainbow, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Grand Funk Railroad, etc. who had great live reputations... but no one could come close to the show or impact that Kiss made in the 70's decade.
Coming in from another platinum album 'Love Gun' in 1977 and Kiss were selling out arenas worldwide... That was truly the original band's peak years.
Then, came the Kiss solo albums in 1978... followed by a disco album 'Dynasty' in 1979... Little kids and families were coming to see Kiss in concert in 1979 and rock fans left the band in droves... it was the first time in years that they couldn't sell out a massive tour.
Peter Criss was playing so poorly that he wasn't playing in the studio anymore and his live performances were falling on their 1979 tour that he was forced out by early 1980. Kiss 'Unmasked' album in 1980 was another rickety disco album and it fared poorly, even as Eric Carr (drums) joined Kiss, assumed the 'Fox' persona, re-energized the band on tour.
And then Ace Frehley quit the band by 1982... after the disastrous 'Music from the Elder' concept album in 1981.
Even without Ace Frehley, Kiss delivered the heaviest album of their career - 'Creatures of the night' in 1982... but no one was listening. Kiss was a 70's relic w/ makeup that did not belong in the 80's decade... and w/ lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent, the album's tour was a disaster... the record barely sold gold in the US.
It's strange to realize that all Kiss needed was an image makeover and a reintroduction to the public... In 1983, they recorded a strong album 'Lick it up'... and decided to take off the makeup on MTV and announce a new album & tour... by a new Kiss. And it worked!
Apparently, 'Lick it up' sold triple the numbers of 'Creatures of the night'... Fans were eager to see the 'new' Kiss without makeup... and shows began selling out again and the record went platinum in the US.
I don't know how to send the links Steve. I'm still learning at 65 brother. I recommend the live video to Crazy,Crazy Nights. It's a fantastic anthem for those of us who love rock and roll. It's a studio version with live footage of them is all I can tell you. It's from the album by the same title 1987 is the year.
I'll try to help you out, brother. If you look to the right and see all the recommended videos for you, you'll notice the three dots next to each video. When you click on them you'll have a bunch of options. Click on the word, SHARE. A box will pop up with the link in it. It'll show you crap up top about email and stuff. Ignore that. To the right of the link hit the COPY button.
Those same dots will appear next to each vid if you do a search for your song and all the choices pop up. Once you hit the COPY button, that link will be saved for you until you copy another link down the road.
Now that you have the linked COPIED, go back to the comment section and start a comment. Then when you wanna attach the link, hit the right button on your mouse - more choices will pop up - then hit the PASTE button and the last link you copied will appear in the comment.
If you open the video that you wanna share, right below the video there is a SHARE button. Hit that button and the same screen will show up for you to COPY the link. And then when you're in a comment, hit the right button of your mouse and hit PASTE. It's called, copy and paste. I hope this helps.
@@snakeinthegrass7443 thank you very much.
@@jeffreyflint6286 You're welcome🙂
Any interest in Ace Frehley's 1978 solo stuff? "What's On Your Mind": ruclips.net/video/QOJQCjBG4Yo/видео.html
Great reaction as always! You couldn´t see this in the footage, but Paul and Ace shared the guitar solo. First part Paul and then Ace. The song is the opener from the album "Love gun".
If you want to have a dip into "Heavy Metal KISS" I can suggest the following songs:
KISS live at Maracana Stadium, Rio de Janeiro 1983 with Eric Carr (drums) and Vinnie Vincent (lead guitar) -> "Creatures of the Night", "I love it loud", "War Maschine". Biggest KISS show ever in front over 140.000 people -> ruclips.net/video/o-LF-OHbxUo/видео.html&start_radio=1
KISS live at the TV show "Fridays" 1981 with Eric Carr (drums) -> "The Oath" from the concept album "The Elder" -> ruclips.net/video/VAINgNyL-7w/видео.html
KISS live in Detroit, Cobo Hall 1984 with Eric Carr (drums & vocals) and Bruce Kulick (lead guitar) -> "Young and Wasted" -> ruclips.net/video/Nfm3WkCg3bo/видео.html
KISS live in Ipswich, England 1984 with Eric Carr (drums) and Bruce Kulick (lead guitar) -> "I've Had Enough (Into The Fire)", unfortunatly no video, but great audio -> ruclips.net/video/OlvIPp-zj5M/видео.html
Let`s goooo
Appreciate all the info and thanks for hanging out! 😁
Another awesome reaction! For the final tour when the original four were together, definitely worth Detroit Rock City, LIVE in East Rutherford 2000

Gene is " the demon"
That's a bat on his face and Dracula's peak,he's a huge monster movie esp. lon chaney
It always bothered me during the solo the camera was not on Ace and his mix way too low🎸🎸🎸
KISS God Gave Rock N Roll To You II 1991. Video shows montage of their performances in make up.Sadly it's Eric Carr's last video
It's funny how you call rockers bangers!
