Ok, I need all my English speaking subscribers to help me come up with a synonymous word for nipple, cause when I refer to "spoke nipples" "drain tube nipple" etc. RUclips flags my videos as non advertiser friendly. More heads are better than one. Still funny though.....
Hi Albe. I just want to thank you for demonstrating all that you have done to the Scrambler. Ducati wanted to bend me over of an intermediate service and because of you I saved $750 australian dollars. May god bless you ! Thank you x1000 !
Are you planning on making a video about the desmo service (valve clearance adjustment) procedure? Would be definitely appreciated by us ur suscribers. Thx and keep up the good work
Hi Roberto, I will do a Desmo service when and if I get to that mileage. I know a lot of my subs would benefit from it, so maybe I’ll do it before it’s due 😀👍
hi Albe's Adv, I like the exhaust on your Desert Sled. What model is'it ? thax for your signe, best regards Claudio ...by the way I like your videos, bravo!
The bike is beautiful, but it is a pitty that in order to perform basic maintenance jobs you must to unscrewing half of the bike. this happens in order to desing a bike from an engine, and not the contrary.
3:56 Hello, nice video 🤘. I also have a Scrambler motorcycle. There is a leak in the plastic box where the air filter is located and where the discharge hose connects. What is this, I wonder? Will it cause me big trouble? What can I do? I used translate while writing these. I hope it was understandable. I would be very pleased if you express your opinion.
@@AlbesADV Could driving for 200 kilometers without stopping have any effect on this? Are these oil-cooled motorcycles able to travel long distances at once? Also thank you very much for your first reply. 🙏
Hello Albe, I have a 2019 Ducati Scrambler 1100 and I believe the access to the air filter is more complicated. The oil cooler is right in the front of the air filter box. There is a bolt at the bottom of the oil cooler that I believe will allow the oil cooler to pivot away from the air filter box. However, I'm wondering if the Oil cooler tubes will be in the way. My Scrambler access to filter is not like your video. Any suggestions? My owner's manual only suggests taking the Ducati to the dealership for servicing of the air filter. Seems like it should not be that complicated. Thank you, Sean Austin, Texas
Hi Sean, there has to be an easy-ish way of doing it, after all, the air filter is a consumable part. Unfortunately I don’t have an 1100 on hand to try myself or even a manual, so I don’t think I can be much help
Hi there, thanks for the vids, they are very useful. Was wondering about the pros and cons of switching to the KnN filter. Other than having a washable filter, are there any noticeable performance benefits? A little more power? Better power delivery? Or any issues? Less smooth power delivery? Should one do a remap? Is this filter more useful with aftermarket exhausts? Thanks.
+greggusan the pros are that the throttle feels more responsive, you gain a little bit of power (not much) especially if associated with an aftermarket exhaust, I think it runs a little smoother too. The remap is not necessary, I would do one only if you install a complete race exhaust. I haven't found any cons yet. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply. I've gone ahead and ordered my K&N filter, and will install it with the help of your excellent video! Thanks for making these and look forward to more. By the way do, having spent more time with that Remus exhaust, what do you think? What other mods are you planning? Any thing that might eek out a little more power? (if that's even possible..) Would you need a ECU remap with that exhaust and filter set up? Suspension upgrade? Cosmetic mods? Oh and one last question if you don't mind: Where do you find the torque values? Thanks again and keep up the great work!
+greggusan thank you for watching, I think the Remus is a little too loud, but other than that is pretty well built, I'm planning to install a few protections, like crashbars and so on, and a few cosmetic mods, the remap is not necessary unless you use a full system and want to get the most out of it. Possibly I'll do some suspension mods depending on budget and power wise, maybe I'll tinker with the sprocket to get a faster acceleration. If you do a search for maintenance manuals there is a PDF version floating around with the torque specs. Ride safe.
Thanks for the vid!💪 I replaced mine, on thing I noticed is...how to describe it...when pushing the bike hard it makes a different sound after about 6000rpms almost like a kickdown or overdrive? Anyone experience this? I have a aftermarket exhaust and booster plug, but only after air filter change dis I notice it.
@@AlbesADV One more question, I have such a problem, does not show the total number of kilometers, shows only a couple of path and the second path, do not know what could be the problem?
How does this filter hold up when going off-road into areas with a lot of dirt and dust? Replacing my exhaust on my desert sled and want to get a better flowing air filter as well?
The filter holds up ok, you are going to have to clean it often, this is not the best filter for off-roading, you might want to try to put a filter sock on it and see if it helps.
That is actually a known problem for that screw, the metal thread inside the plastic comes loose and starts spinning, I had to cut it out and JB-weld it back in there.
Happened to me when I was pulling the filter out to clean it. Mine was so lose that I just left the screw in and pulled straight out, hard obviously, and yes it took me a while too
Personally I think these antics are about the contempt for the customer. The Japanese understand the customer's mind when it comes to maintenance and they don't hold it against them. The Europeans can make the most beautiful painting but require special glasses and training to view it.
the guy who invented this air filter system must have been on drugs! Who would ever think to make it so difficult! I love my ducati, but my Husky filter just pops in and out with no tools in about 2 minutes max, I think the one on the multi Strada you need to remove the gas tank!

Albe's Adv
Hi, you could use
“bleed valve”
+Stevie G haaaaaaa, so simple, thank you!!!!
You can use words like "Spoke Bolts" or "Spoke Nuts" same as "Drain Tube Bolt" or "Drain Tube Nut" etc
Thanks man
try making it one word. spokenipple or drain plugnipple. Who knows, might work.

Hi KKW, I'm glad you were able to do it yourself 😀👍
Dude, having you show this makes just pushed me over the edge to buy the Cafe Racer, I’ll totally be able to maintain it. Bravo 👏
The cafe racer looks great too 👍 good choice
And after you disassemble 3/4 of your bike, you can finally change the air filter. Thanks Ducati. :)
Lol, yup
Thank you from Bulgaria
Thank you for watching 😀👍
10 screws for an airfilter lid, and a paper filter element is a strong indication that Ducati don't have a long history in dirt/gravel bikes.
+MarxOutThere no doubt.
Good video. I’m going to do it on mine with your help. Thanks. I did it. Not the easiest thing to do, but its done now.
Thank you. It's very useful and detailed instruction of the air filter replacement.
I'm happy to be helpful.
Brilliant presentation, thanks.

Great videos! Subscribed. 🇮🇹👍🏼
Thanks man
Hola, en que mejora el uso de este filtro con respecto al original ??? Gracias!!!!
mejor flujo de aire, respuesta más aguda del acelerador 😀👍
When you changed the filter, you didn't have to do a reprogramming? greetings from Mexico
No
didn't understand the arrow thing on the filter, they should be facing forward of the bike or backwards?
+ripmax333 backwards, they point towards the engine.
I was wondering about that too. Thanks for asking the question and thanks for answering the question 🤙🏽
Hi, do you have also tutorial how to take out the whole airbox ?
I hope you read it 😊
I do not, but once you get to this point shouldn’t be much more difficult to take the rest of it off. I read all the comments 😁👍
good job, but, too many steps to replacement the air filter... It's more easy to change the oil! 😁
Lol, agree

That might be the breather hose, if you see a little bit of oil, it's normal, there will be more if you overfill the oil. It should not be a problem

any suggestion on how to remove service light on 2020 Ducati full throttle?
As far as I know, only the Ducati dealer can

Such a question, on my BMW, I lubricate my KN air filter with special oil, is it not necessary to lubricate this filter with air filter oil?
It is, if you wash it, when they are new, they come pre-lubricated

@user-rt8lm6sq1o I'm really not sure, sorry
Albe do you have a tutorial on how to install that belly pan?
Sorry Stacey, I don’t...
Did you have to tune the bike and put it on a dyno ? For the filter
No unless you modify the airbox itself, mind you, a tune is always best, but in this case not necessary
Will this filter change the sound of the bike in some way? Is there a big performance upgrade in horsepower?
No sound difference and very little increase in power
Okay. Thanks for the response.

Albe's Adv thanks, I don’t do much off-road, just basic trails occasionally so it should work well enough for me
Mitchell McDonald yes I think it will
Will the K&N Filter do anything to the engine characteristics?
Kind off, it feels a little more responsive.
@@AlbesADV Thx from Germany.

Must strip the whole front end to get to the air filter. Insert f word here!!!
What a terribly thought out design.
