    Knowing where the washers go is helpful thanks.
    I'm fixing up a Scrambler for a friend, and some one before me put the big washers on top and they are eating into the surounding materials, now i know what goes where.

    About time to change the handlebar. It is just ugly. Was the first part I changed, second was to remove the very ugly rear fender, third to put on a proper exhaust. Plus all the small stuff as well. 😃

    Ciao Albe. These are great, informative videos you have on your channel, thanks a lot. I'm planning to replace the OEM bar so this comes very handy. I'm a bit concerned about drilling. How do you know where to drill exactly into the pipe?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 года назад +2

      Ciao Korhan, I measured the distance from the bar end of the OEM bars, then put some grease on the prong coming out of the switch cluster and tap it on the new bars, that is going to show where to drill. 👍

    Albe, thanks for this amazing video! I have one question - how did you move the “plug” for the cockpit instrument from between the fork and the lamp mount to the front? I am completely out of ideas since the gap seems to be to narrow in order to simply pull the cable harness through and move it to the front. Also, I really do not want to remove the entire lamp mount, in general! Would be great, if you had a quick fix or another great idea for me :) THANK YOUUU

    • @AlbesADV

      @@AlbesADV Thanks for the response, Albe! Actually, when I removed the nuts, which you show at 7:29, I was able to move the entire lamp mount to the front and to move the plug to the front. After that, the rest was as easy as pie ☺️ Thanks again, for this great video!

  • @vincentchow6560
    @vincentchow6560 3 года назад +1

    Thanks for your video. Fantastic. You make it look easy. I followed your instructions and did mine. One question. Now that the bar is lowered, the clutch and brake lines seem to be 'too long'. Now my clutch feels very tight. Did this happen to yours too?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 года назад

      The clutch cable is definitely too long, if you don't want to replace it try to move it around and make wide sweeping bends, when it comes to the brake line, loosen the banjo bolt just enough (very little) to point the line up, that will make it better 👍

    The G2 Throttle Tamer on the USA tuned early scramblers with that lean tuning is a necessity. Best thing I ever added to mine for slow speed. It makes the power delivery feel much more linear. I believe the newer models come with a similar progressive throttle like the G2. I have heard non-US models had a richer factory tuning, just rumor I am not sure of this.

    Great videos! Once the dash was relocated and centered, were you able to replace the black plastic tank cover that was held in with rubber bushings? I couldn't see in the video if the relocated dash takes up the space of the removed tank cover.

    Hi, thank you for doing this video I followed it to install mine. however, I have an issue I have pulled the gauge connector through like you did but mine is very tight to get it to the gauge. it has a large wire and then two other smaller wires joining the connector which are the ones that seem to be restricting it reaching the gauge. Can you recommend anything if you can remember. Also did you relocate all of the wires after? if so how

    I think that the bike is better than the GS off road but that’s because I am 5.7ft and I put proper knobby tyres on it and reduce tyre pressure before going off road

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  5 лет назад

      It depends what you consider off road, a dirt road or a flat-ish field, yes you are right, lower cg, more control but in the rough, the GS has more ground clearance, longer travel suspension that are better tuned for off roading, I took my F800GS pretty deep in the woods and I don’t think the Scrambler could have kept up, I’m also not that great of a rider off road so, it might be just me.

    Hi Albe, great content!!!... is this mix of cocktail compatible if i went with these parts - Urlo grips (GR222B), Rizoma 1 1/8" Handlebars, Rizoma Pro / B-Pro Bar End Mirror 7/8" Adapter and Rizoma Reverse Retro Bar End Mirror, for a 2015 scrambler icon? thnx!

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 года назад +1

      Hi there, first of all, thank you. Everything should work together but you need an adapter to use the 1 1/8 bar on the Scrambler triple clamp. The oem Scrambler handlebars are thinner. 😀👍

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  5 лет назад +1

      That would make it easier, I thought about using a pipe and drilling a hole through it so I could hold the pipe to keep the clamp straight and thigh it thru the hole.

    • @AlbesADV

      Hi Roberto, make sure the rubber blocks or as they call them "silent blocks" are not worn off or too tight. Those rubber blocks are vibration dampers that are between the triple clamp and the handlebars clamp.

      Check if the plug is all the way in, if it is make sure you didn't bend any of the little prongs. Tge instrument cluster is built so that cannot be re-setted by unplugging it
