What's the difference between Uninstall and Disable for an app? I'm trying to uninstall unnecessary apps because I'm running out of storage space, but some only allow me to disable them. It's frickin annoying and I don't know if I'm actually clearing up storage space. Help?
Disable will be the only option for apps that cannot be fully uninstalled - this means you're decreasing the amount of data on your device for that app but you can't fully delete it as your device requires it be there (however unnecessary it actually is to you personally) Hope that helps!

The "application manager" screen she's referring found slightly differently and is not labeled that way. step 1: click settings step 2: scroll down to find an icon that is labeled "Apps." For me it was right above the "Personal" section. step 3: click the "Apps" icon and it will probably look like the "apps manager" she is referring to. Some apps are not able to be deleted as they are considered "essential" to your phone's operating system. It's frustrating but there's no way to get around it usually.
Wrong! I have a Samsung phone, and I manually installed both my carrier apps, and a Samsung app called Smart Device. These apps are not allowed to be removed. How do I override the app, and delete the app that I installed, that the manufacturer did not originally put on the phone, and yet I can't completely delete the app? There should be some sort of override in order to delete an app that was not originally on the device.
