    Wow. A man who quits his job, to care for his elderly mother, is impressive enough. To then go on, and give of his "free" time, to help solve cases, is just wonderful. How many of us could become a full time care giver for a loved one, and not squirrel our "free" time away for far more selfish pursuits? Super admirable.

      Malicity D'Obscuro maybe that’s what he likes to do in his free time.... everyone is different everyone has different interests and likes to do different things. Me personally I wouldnt it’s a waste of time... 8 cases in 10 years big whoop he would be better off helping the homeless on the streets. Instead everyone loves to waste all their money on the dead instead of the living.

      @HeavyHanded ` I think ur just jealous that he is more accomplished than you. It’s not a matter of free time, but just his contribution to society. If you ever lost someone close to you, knowing what happened gives you closure. I’m a coroner, and part of my job is to look for the deceased’s NOK (next of kin). I can tell you how much people care even if it’s just a body, because for some will never give up until they see it with their own eyes

    “People don’t want to post a photo of someone who’s obviously dead, so I try to give them life.” This is a sentiment that is so sad, and makes so much sense at the same time. That’s why we should do more with forensic reconstruction and art. We can’t find missing people unless we know what they looked like, when alive.

    Walker County Jane Doe has been identified as Sherri Jarvis from Forest Lake Minnesota. She 14 years old at the time. Sherri was removed from her parents home for habitual truancy. She was moved to a shelter in Stillwater Minnesota. Sherri ran away from a court house in Stillwater that would’ve determined if she was going to spend more time at the shelter. She had spent some time with some friends from her school before going their separate ways. One of Sherri’s friends tried to convince her to back with them but she declined and some point ended up in Texas.

The book is called the “good egg.” Apparently English muffins and Canadian bacon weren’t popular at the time in the US and the guy who invented the McMuffin is the reason both of those products became popular. He essentially turned eggs Benedict into portable sandwich form. So technically any breakfast sandwich made with egg, meat, and an English muffin is technically always from McDonald’s.

    Walker County Jane Doe just ID'd as Sherri Ann Jarvis from Minnesota. Carl was apart of getting her name back. She got taken from her home in MN for being a habitual middle school truant and placed in a MN girls home. She ran away from there with two girls from the facility and ended up in Green Bay, Wisconsin for a while. The only letter her family ever got from her was a short postcard from Denver, Colorado saying she wouldn't come back until she was 18-21 cause she didn't want to be in a group home. After that, nothing. They filed a missing person's report, the facility she ran away from filed one. The family also hired private investigators. When she would have turned 18 her missing person's case was canceled and tossed. That's how it was done in some places back then, still doesn't make it less awful. Thankfully for Sherri, Huntsville Texas IS NOT Stillwater Minnesota. They worked WCJD's case for decades. The Sheriff's Office said in a press conference the other day when her name was released that they all loved Sherri even though they never knew her. I'm sure Carl feels that way, too. I believe them both. Sherri had arrived to Texas for yet unknown (or currently un-shared) reasons. Her death was one of the worst crime victim deaths I've ever read. She was only FOURTEEN years old. I'm not sure how her family never became aware of WCJD. Carl's composites were very accurate. Sherri's parents died in 2018 and 2019. She still has siblings alive. I don't understand it but hopefully it more comes out. She was only identified this month, November 2021.

    Also I would like to add that keeping stories of missing people active and the media is very important! I mean if news outlets are going to make a story out of somebody who is missing and put it on the air then I think that the news outlets have an obligation every now and again to keep putting are there new information out there or to remind everybody that the case is still unsolved. Just think how many cold cases could have been solved if the national news outlets would keep putting up updates or reminders! It's really good to know that there are people out there who are keeping the memories alive of the deceased whose cases have gone cold.

      Another idea is she found out about her biological dad? Maybe she found out who he was and that he was in prison. He wouldn’t know her or what she looked like. He wouldn’t be expecting a visit either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Sherri Ann Jarvis. She was from my home state of Minnesota.
    Just knowing that gives me a chill in my bones. I was in college at the time she disappeared from Stillwater, MN, and when she was murdered in Huntsville, TX.
    She could be my younger sister.
    And I'm not totally sure of this, but I think that the fact she was missing may have been on our local news stations at the time, because her actual photograph looks very familiar to me. But like I said, I'm not absolutely sure of that.

    Adding the background really adds a further dimension to these unidentified people. It makes us sympathetic not just to the fact that they were once had "life," a property or concept we have but take for granted, but that they had experiences, they were part of something, some place, that they had that elusive "being" human. The background gives the unknown dead, quite truly, a "background." All respects to you good sir. May God bless you and aid you in finding their justice.

    • @mussialipskier3931
      @mussialipskier3931 5 лет назад +61

      True...but maybe her parents weren't really ever there for her at all...I'm imagining she was looking to visit/find her father in prison, and who knows what the story is with her mother, if she was even alive and well...very upsetting to learn how many young people are really alone in the world in ways that us fortunate ones who have been brought up in secure homes cannot understand...my hope is that more homes/centres open up to support these kids.

    • @mistyrainbowsystem
      @mistyrainbowsystem 5 лет назад +13

      @@mussialipskier3931 1. parents are not EVERYTHING, there are teachers, classmates, neighbors etc. 2. what if she actually visited the person from prison right before she died? and what if that person was leaving that day and killed her on their way back? maybe she knew they're going to murder her... she gave up on running away :( I would check if anyone was leaving from prison on that day, especially someone related to her, I would ask any prisoners from that time if they saw a girl similar to her if that wasn't already done, it's kinda weird that someone who didn't care about her life got murdered while traveling to prison - what if she wanted to check into prison and someone who didn't want her to - killed her? :o

      15 is way to young to be lifting to what? For what I’ve learned about disappearing cases in the USA they have a very different time limit before search goes on. And sometimes the reason that every one can pack up and leave to start over without telling anyone is rare for us in Belgium. Sure there are cases that’s never get solved. But if a kid under 18 gets missing it’s faster now than before, also if I’ll or mentally unstable or elderly. We can’t pack up and leave so easily maybe because our country is to little. We fit easily in some states. Maybe he can work with a private detective to find people or matches in missing cases.

    I love what he's been able to do. I remember, almost to the day, when I found these cold cases and you almost feel like it would never be solved...like Debra Jackson (orange socks)?! The 'unknown' deserve to have their name back after some POS decided their lives didn't matter. So I stop searching because of how hopeless it feels but now I look more than I did before. To see some of my favorite channels posting unsolved cases that are now SOLVED is something else I've never felt. I can't imagine what the families are feeling and I really hope that more families get to see their loved one's cases solved. Online sleuths, artists like this guy and Parabon Labs are amazing. I can't wait for the next case to be solved.

    Bless his heart!!!! Left his job to take care of his elderly mother full time. Then if that wasn't enough already, he uses EVERY BIT of his free time selflessly trying to help these poor people get their identities back & be able to rest in peace. His dedication is admirable. He gets absolutely nothing from this financially. They should hire him. He could keep doing it from home, but make some money. His hard work has clearly helped them solve several cases, as the video shows. Maybe he doesn't want compensation. He surely deserves it though!
