Walker County Jane Doe has been identified as Sherri Jarvis from Forest Lake Minnesota. She 14 years old at the time. Sherri was removed from her parents home for habitual truancy. She was moved to a shelter in Stillwater Minnesota. Sherri ran away from a court house in Stillwater that would’ve determined if she was going to spend more time at the shelter. She had spent some time with some friends from her school before going their separate ways. The book is called the “good egg.” Apparently English muffins and Canadian bacon weren’t popular at the time in the US and the guy who invented the McMuffin is the reason both of those products became popular. It doesn't really bother me so much. Plus I'm an artist and good with Photoshop, maybe I should look into doing this. I imagine there's a lot more success in my country of UK because it's comparatively just a small island with much fewer people
Yep it’s pretty graphic, even for me, as a community coroner Edit: but tbh there is hella more disgusting stuff in the forensic field, just ask any forensic entomologist
The sad fact is that everyone who works passionately on missing persons or Does has lost someone close to them. I know many people are interested or fascinated with true crime. But remember when you ask someone why they investigate, they have something that pushed them to it. And it's never a happy story.
Sherri Ann Jarvis (March 9, 1966 - November 1, 1980)[2] was an American murder victim from Stillwater, Minnesota, who was discovered on November 1, 1980 in Huntsville, Texas. Her body was discovered within hours of her sexual assault and murder, and remained unidentified for 41 years before being identified in November 2021.
That's so disgusting to know that this girl died without any concern being very young and this man who is getting older every day is carrying about other's dirty laundry has been sitting on her grave since 1980 underneath her remains
I kinda sense a serial killer vibe... him alone, house all clean looking at dead people all day... man taking care of his elderly mother put a toll on him
oh gosh, I was gonna say the same thing, poor sad guy, hope he finds a nice lady ! And then I saw Capitan Keter's comment, and a cold shower washed over me and I thought, ''yeahhhh, OMG now that you mention it, he looks sort of strange, morbid'' 😂
In 10 years, he’s helped to identify 8 initially unidentified victims. To many, that may seem like a small number but for someone like me who has looked into Jane and John Does, this is actually incredible. It’s so hard to identify these lost souls nowadays, which is insane considering how far we’ve come with technology and forensic investigation. This man is a talented and beautiful individual, I hope that he continues to help in identifying these victims. Absolutely incredible ❤️
As someone who cared for his mother for 30 years, i relate with this guy. I wasnt fortunate enough to become as accomplished as he is but i can relate. It does take a lot from you. This man should be proud of his work.

Walker County Jane Doe- how very sad. She was somebody's daughter, somebody's friend. It's way sad nobody had claimed her as if she never existed. For this man to give her life dignity is so admirable. I'm sure Jane Doe knows he has her back and im sure her spirit looks out for him. ❤
90% chance she is a runaway from the foster system. There are millions of them. Legally you can't force them to stay AT ANY AGE. Texas it does not matter if they are 3yrs old. INSANE.
He's perfectly organized and anal about everything. He was also an accountant which is like the most boring, frustrating, headache-inducing job out there. And he makes it all look effortless. I simultaneously admire, envy and loathe people like that.
Walker County Jane Doe just ID'd as Sherri Ann Jarvis from Minnesota. Carl was apart of getting her name back. She got taken from her home in MN for being a habitual middle school truant and placed in a MN girls home. She ran away from there with two girls from the facility and ended up in Green Bay, Wisconsin for a while. The only letter her family ever got from her was a short postcard from Denver, Colorado saying she wouldn't come back until she was 18-21 cause she didn't want to be in a group home. After that, nothing. They filed a missing person's report, the facility she ran away from filed one. The family also hired private investigators. When she would have turned 18 her missing person's case was canceled and tossed. That's how it was done in some places back then, still doesn't make it less awful. Thankfully for Sherri, Huntsville Texas IS NOT Stillwater Minnesota. They worked WCJD's case for decades. The Sheriff's Office said in a press conference the other day when her name was released that they all loved Sherri even though they never knew her. I'm sure Carl feels that way, too. I believe them both. Sherri had arrived to Texas for yet unknown (or currently un-shared) reasons. Her death was one of the worst crime victim deaths I've ever read. She was only FOURTEEN years old. I'm not sure how her family never became aware of WCJD. Carl's composites were very accurate. Sherri's parents died in 2018 and 2019. She still has siblings alive. I don't understand it but hopefully it more comes out. She was only identified this month, November 2021.
Carl Koppelman you are a remarkable human being. I'm not surprised at all at how giving you are of your time. Your caring nature comes across on this film. Even if we were unaware you care for your Mum, you can see and hear the goodness in you. Some evil person takes these lives, you do your darndest to give their identity back, even those whose families you have yet to find, your giving these people who died so tragically a chance to be seen by someone who might know who they are, giving that identity a name. If you lived in UK, I would without hesitation nominate you for an award for showing human kindness to those souls who are lost and your determination to have them found. Well done kind Sir, one of life's true gentlemen!
As of November 2021Walker County Jane Doe has been identified as 14 year-old Sheri Ann Jarvis of Stillwater, Minnesota. Thanks to Carl and all of the people online that kept this story alive so that she could be identified.
Also I would like to add that keeping stories of missing people active and the media is very important! I mean if news outlets are going to make a story out of somebody who is missing and put it on the air then I think that the news outlets have an obligation every now and again to keep putting are there new information out there or to remind everybody that the case is still unsolved. Just think how many cold cases could have been solved if the national news outlets would keep putting up updates or reminders! It's really good to know that there are people out there who are keeping the memories alive of the deceased whose cases have gone cold.
Mad respect. From quitting accounting to take care of mother, to doing free work of finding jane/john doe while having to look at the pictures of dead people. I'm feeling uncomfortable myself when those pictures of dead victim comes up in the video.
i feel like they should re interview the people from the prison...someone lied. what if she was a penpal with someone and they couldnt identify her simply cause they didnt know what she looked like? did they talk to people who were released that day? someone lied
What if she wasn't actually trying to go to the prison itself but something very close to it and was using the prison as a landmark of sorts because she didn't want to say where she was actually going and/or didn't think people could give directions to it.
What could also have happened, is because I've seen people say "what is she had a pen pal"? What if she did though? What if she never met this person in person or anything and they were writing to eachother, and they showed him this picture of her and he said he didn't recognize her because they've never seen her in person. But yeah, they should have also asked if they were writing to anyone.
Thing is, this theory is not very likely either. Why? Because if someone was writing to her they would have her address and the first thing this person would probably do is try to look for her when he got out. Maybe he did we don't know :/
Another idea is she found out about her biological dad? Maybe she found out who he was and that he was in prison. He wouldn’t know her or what she looked like. He wouldn’t be expecting a visit either. 🤷🏻♀️
this guy is a damn saint. he deserves pay, he deserves more training and more acknowledgment. thank you for all you do kind sir! i’m sure you’ll be the one to solve this case 🌹
Sherri Ann Jarvis. She was from my home state of Minnesota. Just knowing that gives me a chill in my bones. I was in college at the time she disappeared from Stillwater, MN, and when she was murdered in Huntsville, TX. She could be my younger sister. And I'm not totally sure of this, but I think that the fact she was missing may have been on our local news stations at the time, because her actual photograph looks very familiar to me. But like I said, I'm not absolutely sure of that.

Adding the background really adds a further dimension to these unidentified people. It makes us sympathetic not just to the fact that they were once had "life," a property or concept we have but take for granted, but that they had experiences, they were part of something, some place, that they had that elusive "being" human. The background gives the unknown dead, quite truly, a "background." All respects to you good sir. May God bless you and aid you in finding their justice.
This man is probably the purest soul ive heard of! Caring for his mother and then devoting all of his free time to the community and the greater good. I wish this man all the luck in the world!
What really brings tears to my eyes is that this guy cares more for this girl and bringing forth justice for her, more than her own “family”. God bless him for his hard work and dedication that others cant be bothered with. Can’t believe no one has reported her missing or even cares either 😔
True...but maybe her parents weren't really ever there for her at all...I'm imagining she was looking to visit/find her father in prison, and who knows what the story is with her mother, if she was even alive and well...very upsetting to learn how many young people are really alone in the world in ways that us fortunate ones who have been brought up in secure homes cannot understand...my hope is that more homes/centres open up to support these kids.
@@mussialipskier3931 1. parents are not EVERYTHING, there are teachers, classmates, neighbors etc. 2. what if she actually visited the person from prison right before she died? and what if that person was leaving that day and killed her on their way back? maybe she knew they're going to murder her... she gave up on running away :( I would check if anyone was leaving from prison on that day, especially someone related to her, I would ask any prisoners from that time if they saw a girl similar to her if that wasn't already done, it's kinda weird that someone who didn't care about her life got murdered while traveling to prison - what if she wanted to check into prison and someone who didn't want her to - killed her? :o
15 is way to young to be lifting to what? For what I’ve learned about disappearing cases in the USA they have a very different time limit before search goes on. And sometimes the reason that every one can pack up and leave to start over without telling anyone is rare for us in Belgium. Sure there are cases that’s never get solved. But if a kid under 18 gets missing it’s faster now than before, also if I’ll or mentally unstable or elderly. We can’t pack up and leave so easily maybe because our country is to little. We fit easily in some states. Maybe he can work with a private detective to find people or matches in missing cases.
This is really sad. Who was that girl? What sort of home life did she have that she maybe knew that her parents or guardians wouldn't care enough to report her missing.
Although a long process, would it not be possible to view all the high school yearbooks around that area? I mean they roughly know her age so that narrows it down slightly.
Cold cases, unsolved cases, and missing people cases are so sad and heartbreaking. Imagine never being remembered or identified like this poor girl, or even being found for that matter. This man brings meaning and importance to these victim's lives...and it's truly needed and appreciated. Thank you Carl.
I love what he's been able to do. I remember, almost to the day, when I found these cold cases and you almost feel like it would never be solved...like Debra Jackson (orange socks)?! The 'unknown' deserve to have their name back after some POS decided their lives didn't matter. So I stop searching because of how hopeless it feels but now I look more than I did before. To see some of my favorite channels posting unsolved cases that are now SOLVED is something else I've never felt. I can't imagine what the families are feeling and I really hope that more families get to see their loved one's cases solved. Online sleuths, artists like this guy and Parabon Labs are amazing. I can't wait for the next case to be solved.

One of Sherri’s friends tried to convince her to back with them but she declined and some point ended up in Texas.
The thought that NOBODY knew her or cared enough to identify her or know she’s missing is... heartbreaking.
Shes been identified if that make u feel any better ?
She is still unidentified. Some ppl think she may be a runaway named "Kathleen" that was seen in the area around that time. But no one knows who Kathleen is either.
it is possible her parents abandoned her or don’t care or are even dead. she could also not have any friends that would care to be searching for what happened to her. which is heartbreaking
@@brianagarcia2889 Why are you lying though? She hasn't been identified yet, sadly. People are speculating it's Cathleen but that has not been confirmed, it's just a theory.

The book is called the “good egg.” Apparently English muffins and Canadian bacon weren’t popular at the time in the US and the guy who invented the McMuffin is the reason both of those products became popular.

She could have been trying to meet a member of staff and no one thought to ask because them assumed she was meeting an inmate.

Just knowing that gives me a chill in my bones. I was in college at the time she disappeared from Stillwater, MN, and when she was murdered in Huntsville, TX.

Came back to this video now that Walker County Jane Doe has been identified ❤️ Rest sweetly, Sherri Ann Jarvis.
Today is November 1, 2021. Got chills when the dates matched to the grave.
This guy really found his calling, and it is a noble one!
This is really sad. Who was that girl? What sort of home life did she have that she maybe knew that her parents or guardians wouldn't care enough to report her missing.
CO CO why was she going to the prison also?? it’s so eerie
maybe the parents killed her
She has been identified, Rest In Peace ❤️
He quitted his job and took care of her mother. He help to solve many murder cases. Oh God please protect this man ❤
They solved it. Her last name was Jarvis and she was 14 years old when she ran away and was murdered.
10:30 I would say , shared 10 years of your life. Good man here with out a doubt.
I agree!
Although a long process, would it not be possible to view all the high school yearbooks around that area? I mean they roughly know her age so that narrows it down slightly.
Carl actually already did that a couple years ago.
You go right ahead.
Walker County Jane Doe has recently been identified as Sherri Ann Jarvis!
I can't wait for the next case to be solved.
i feel like vice actually listened to us... feels good.
Anyone else feel really uncomfortable when they see the people dead?
No I feel really creeped out when I see dead people. I feel like it may be a phobia.
Same I just get creeped
Used to.
No. After death, bodies simply become empty shells. Souls, spirits, essence, life, has left.
yea, makes me wonder life what will happen after we died
Bless this man, we need more people to do good with their talent!
this man is a legit empath. some would think his focus is morbid, but he is doing such a important beautiful and fucking hard on the soul thing. When everybody gives up tying, somebody like this is still focusing to make sense of a tragedy, HUGE respect.
In November 2021 Walker county Jane Doe was identified as 14 year old Sherri Ann Jarvis. She was born on 3/9/1966 and was from Stillwater Minnesota.
It was because of people like this and the continued interest in her case that led to her identification.
"And Ill always hold my waist band cause thats where my gun was before VICE made me remove it for the interview"
Good guy.. I hope you solve many cases as possible
Now that the internet exists, even though a fair amount of negatives have come about, the amount of mysteries solved is insane.
What an amazing man with art skills and heart. What a great use of time and talent. This is so touching. It's nice to know there are people who truly do care about people and genuine curiosity about there lives.
FYI: she was ID'd in November, 2021 through the use of DNA technology. Her name is Sherry Anne Jarvis, born in 1963. She was a runaway who had been removed from her home due to "delinquency." May she rest in peace.
rewards should be granted for those that help identify a deadbody
Update: The Walker County Jane Doe was identified via genetic family tree building in late 2021 as Sherri Jarvis, a 14 year old runaway from Minnesota.
She has been identified in the last few days I’m very happy that the family can now find closure.
I’m looking at the website and it hasn’t updated yet
@@Rieky22 her name is being withheld by law enforcement while they continue investigating
Bless his heart!!!! Left his job to take care of his elderly mother full time. Then if that wasn't enough already, he uses EVERY BIT of his free time selflessly trying to help these poor people get their identities back & be able to rest in peace. His dedication is admirable. He gets absolutely nothing from this financially. They should hire him. He could keep doing it from home, but make some money. His hard work has clearly helped them solve several cases, as the video shows. Maybe he doesn't want compensation. He surely deserves it though!
kind of sad that no one has come forward and identified this girl after almost 40 years. did no one care that she was missing?
